  1. According to that facebook page it seems to be in storage near the park. Its not for sale but when it does go on sale it will be public knowledge it said. Apparently 2 years of sitting in the sun has made them un-useable but i don't think thats true. They are going to sell it as a package with the Intamin wild river ride too. From the photos it seems to have been taken down properly.
  2. I think it would be good to add alpine slides to the alpine coaster map, there is some stuff definitely missing though but oh well. RCDB has a feature that can tell you where everything is for alpine coasters and SLCs already but info about alpine slides is much harder to find so that would be great!
  3. for me its got to go: 1. Helix 2. Balder 3. Wildfire 4. Nemesis 5. Saw The Ride 6. Twister at Grona Lund 7. Grand National 8. Wild Mouse (BPB) 9. Stealth 10. Smiler er not really thought about the order too much but i did forget Olympia so stick that under Wildfire!
  4. Not the greatest video in the world - is this some kind of joke I loved it! Good to see it testing I love the GCI's layout and its good to see more no turn dive coasters!
  5. Heide Park have released a video talking about Colossos, its all in German but basically it just repeats everything said before. They cannot get new wood to redo the track with apparently because there's a shortage of it and it closed due to a TUV inspection after its 15th year. I don't know if anything was said about the termites or whatever other rumours there are so if someone German could summarise that would be great. not sure if the links right, don't know facebook well https://www.facebook.com/HeideParkResort/?hc_ref=ART5mxAe9VecrfseFV_RUmiWHa-zovzobb_Fkjx-a0oqeEIjSxPhqADwFpboOv78QCE&fref=nf
  6. Saw for me, followed by Rage/Falcon - probably rage is better as its by the sea so sometimes when its windy the hangtimes awesome!
  7. What we do in the UK, while it takes a few extra staff members is have free bag drops set up, small articles and be left still like cups on some rides but bags just go in, get a band and then collect 10 minutes later. It works so well and is free, quicker than any other system. Also not familiar with Millennium Force's station but don't you get on one side, get off the other?
  8. Same. Although, I count Mountain Coasters. I don't know if those are counted on RCDB or not, as I've never checked. Duane decided to add them all fairly recently, like definitely last 6 months.
  9. Sure this is annoying but i'm not surprised he flipped off the ride attendants, after queuing up for ages. Sure he should of got a locker but if its the last train of the night they could have just left his bag on the platform or an op could of held it for 2 minutes till he got back. Rules like lockers being required are fine but I don't see why they couldn't have just made 1 exception for the final train.
  10. I had looked into this a while pack, its like Valhalla of the Americas basically but with worse theming, the rides similar though - it was just as much as a maintenance nightmare!
  11. I would guess Grand National because its got the most capacity and consistently has a queue. Big One would be it probably if it didn't run often due to the wind/runs with 1 train when its windy.
  12. Wow I was there that day and Sunday, didn't even notice that post so I skipped it! I was kind of wondering why what looked like a small dark ride had a 45 minute queue.
  13. Yeah colossus has disgusting operations. Its horrific! I'm not sure with Saw's queueboard but its been like that all year I think the display is broken maybe?
  14. I would say Revolution is SIGNIFICANTLY more iconic than Dragon Challenge especially now that it won't duel.
  15. Balder at Liseberg in the backrow on Sunday, my new number 2 (yes ahead of Wildfire!)
  16. It goes through it 3 times, 2 times between the legs and somehow through the body of head!
  17. At Thorpe Park I will ride pretty much everything when I go as a group with friends/family however when its just a normal visit I will not bother with the kids rides and the flying fish because I look stupid and Tidal Wave because its soaking wet!
  18. Helix at Liseberg, somehow i left it till the end of my first day! (although i didn't ride either kiddie coaster)
  19. I don't know if this is meant to be super like heated, but Legolands are doing the best by far of their parks, well in England at least. Merlin aren't buying out new parks really they are just expanding and opening midway parks at a crazy rate, theres probably well over 100 sealifes by now plus lots of dungeons, madame tussauds and other stuff. I actually have heard many times they're looking to sell Heide Park plus the english parks (probably Gardaland too) because they simply don't do that well especially in england after the smiler accident the attendance for both thorpe and alton have dropped significantly. Chessington and Legoland however are thriving so I'm not sure. Heide Park makes complete sense to sell, it hits about 1 million visitors which is half the other major parks they own yet still has the same amount of thrill ride investment with 6 major coasters at the park including Colossos so it clearly just isn't working out well for them. I don't really know anymore with Merlin. If its costing 10 million euros/dollars/pounds to rebuild, there must be major structural problems thats like half the cost of the coaster so I imagine the problems can't just be fixed with RMCing it, its more to the with the actual supporting.
  20. Not sure about Heide Park but Thorpe Park has noticeably lower attendance this year, although some days it has been packed unexpectedly generally it has been lower than average. I completely understand it with Heide Park losing their biggest coaster plus other rides - which is surprising with the major Ghostbusters dark ride opening. Thorpe Park I understand why it happened because of Derren Brown's PR Disaster Train opening (well not opening mostly!) but they have tried to improve it and like its been much more reliable this year. At least Thorpe Park has got flat rides unlike every other park (I know slammer shut but it just wasn't worth keeping it never had a queue.) I don't think ANYONE would mind if Colossus went but while a lack of maintenance is clear the whole coaster is a goner because its sinking into the lake slowly which is something they simply cannot do much about. Nemesis they are very clearly intending to keep however because of the investments over the last 2 closed seasons plus the uproar if they removed it would be massive. I hope Merlin does decide to invest and fix Colossos but i really doubt it because it just isn't worth the 10mil+ pricetag. Its strange how Merlin run there parks and it seems to vary a lot, the only similarity i can see is that all the thrill parks have a major attraction shut with no real signs of it reopening in the near future, Loggers Leap at Thorpe, Colossos at Heide Park, Sequoia Adventure at Gardaland and Nemesis Sub Terra at Alton Towers. (+ Charlie and the chocolate factory at Alton as an added extra!) Also with Aquaspin the lack of spare parts is quite ironic since Ripsaw was literally shipped over to the park last/this year to be used for parts after shutting at Alton Towers. Whats surprising is how Ramases Revenge still operates at the family park even after a high profile incident a couple of years ago plus barely attracting a crowd on the busiest of days.
  21. You can literally see the double spline in the top left of the photo and the lift hill, most of the ride uses it i'm pretty sure. Could that orange track possibly be for Energylandia? The animation wasn't exactly accurate so I think its very possible they decided to change the colour of it especially since their new water coaster also has blue track, plus their SBF visa spinner they got this year. Maybe they just like blue though.
  22. This is amazing you took a photo of people on the third row breaking the park rules the rows are only meant to be for 2 people not 3!
  23. Honestly as long as it runs a decent setting (i.e not Sol Spin) you shouldn't be complaining, they are fairly common but excellent flat rides with a decent capacity and with a good cycle intensity and out of control flipping. Its also like nothing they have already or at nearby parks as far as I can tell so i think it would be an excellent purchase!
  24. Hey, i'm heading to Liseberg for the first time in two weeks and we're almost ready to book the tickets. I had a few small questions i hoped some locals could answer. 1. Is there vouchers/money off stuff etc? I found this code on some website but cannot find a box to enter it in at all which is really annoying. If someone could send a screenshot of the box it should be put it in that would be superb! 2. What rides are the best to get express pass for when you book online? I am thinking Helix and Balder then either Loke or Mechanica. Which of these are the best or is there something I missed that would be better to get the pass for? Maybe aerospin or the log flume? Also do you get three passes per day or just for your 2 days together as I couldn't find an option to get the passes for both days, it only let me use them for one. 3. Finally are there any general tips on what to go for first/queue cutting and any low key rides that aren't to be missed? I'm spending the evening on the 25th and till about 7-8pm on the 26th due to flights back so i'm thinking of getting the express passes on the evening to get as much stuff done at night as possible! Thank you for anybody who helps in advance
  25. Thorpe Park announced they are getting a new coaster at TowerTimes/South Parks event earlier this year, utilising the bridge with a lot of airtime hills however that was just concept art. Its not been that busy this year for some reason so you would probably be fine. I'd expect main coaster queues to be around 30-45 minutes so maybe consider the fastracks for the major coasters. Unlimited fastrack simply isn't worth it because you usually have to queue 10-20 minutes on days busy enough for it to be worth using it meaning its hard to get value for money, especially with the short opening hours compared to american parks.
