  1. Colossus has a good ten - fifteen years left. It always has a giant queue theres no reason to remove it and maintenance isn't exactly Slammer level on it, not even close. Theres more than enough space on Slammer's site for a coaster that could cross over the path to where I'm a Celebrity is and go all behind there easily, Colossus has so much life left in it.
  2. I don't think they are moving away from their core demographic, I think they are expanding. Besides, Troy is a big coaster for regional standards, that didn't stop them attracting families. Yeah but families can ride troy, its not physically imposing really there are no inversions and its quite short. i think it doesn't really matter either way as long as they go with the low height restriction it will be fine.
  3. I actually quite like the decayed look that it shared with Nemesis at Alton Towers, it really fits in I think. And I actually have a californian friend who has it as their number 2 somehow. I still don't get why but whatever.
  4. It really depends what car you get allocated to, they vary hugely. The thing with Colossus is bigger people can't ride in the odd numbered rows due to the lack of legroom. And to say often have one less of a queue. I have never in my life seen people spreading out over odd number rows. Shame about Slammer but it was time for it to go, should of gone years ago it was never popular and just a money pit with 0 return in investment.
  5. They could go for the world's ONLY though since Apocalypse's at sfmm hasn't worked for a long time (as far as I know?)
  6. Well at least theres Flash! and soon to be another one in Turkey!
  7. Liseberg actually did a competition to celebrate the opening of Loke where they took some winners to the Happy Valley park's Loke style ride. I can't find the video anymore though the title might of been Swedish.
  8. Bounce at Oakwood has now been removed from the park, found this out while planning a trip for last weekend. I went to blackpool instead, as Drenched was down too due to it being to cold - but Valhalla was open! http://www.themeparkreview.com/parks/p_145_4951_oakwood_theme_park_bounce
  9. Oh woops, I saw it at the top of the forum and didn't bother checking - sorry!
  10. Mines probably Kikkerachtbaan, at Duinrell in the Netherlands. Not very exciting at all really but probably the rarest i'd say.
  11. Its only temporarily closed because it stalled on opening day if I am correct?
  12. Blackpool's mouse, after refurbishing the ride it now runs so fast especially towards the end!
  13. If your flying, sfgadv, cp and ki )plus possibly hershey would be the best bet, however if your going by car I think stopping at Dollywood and Carowinds would be a good idea, assuming you haven't already been to Dollywood and they are about 3 hours apart from each other.
  14. Where is this wiki splash log flume? I just googled it and nothing comes up..? Found it Thank you - looks quite cool. I love how hes posted again and changed it to Chiapas now
  15. An hour for food . . . . wow, that's surprising to me. Clearly you haven't been to a Six Flags. You should go sometime, they're fun! I love how you cut out the bit where he stated that he had been to a Six Flags park Longest for me has been around 2 and a half hours for smiler around its opening, and it would of been Furius Baco had it not been for the £60 PA Express for a whole week ticket for hotel guests - thanks PA - shortest has obviously been walking. I really don't like queuing that long but Smiler fast track was £10 each in the opening year and that's quite honestly just ridiculous.

  17. My thoughts entirely, a whole separate park is simply not sustainable, once it gets less popular it will simply just get put into the main park. I wonder if Red Force will be put onto PA Express, I mean Furius Baco is on it with double the capacity and reached 3 hours every time I visited in August 2015, so Red Force would be absolutely packed. I guess they'd probably just do what they did to Hurakan Condor and exclude it from the pass - or just get rid of the stupid (ly amazing value) PA Express for hotel guests, or at least like double the price, 60 euros for a week was simply ridiculous.
  18. bit late on this one but 13 years old is not long for a stationary ride but since it was designed to travel, where it would operate for like a 1/10 of the amount of times it does at a park because of travelling and waiting between rides surely its just become very worn out. Samurai at Thorpe Park has had issues due to this along with Ripsaw which is now gone.
  19. Woah Across the Dragon Valley looks like a stall risk and a half! That overbank is so tall.
  20. Yeah it is strange, I agree. I think its only really necessary at busy parks I mean the only other park i've seen with this layout is PortAventura and Parc Asterix (although Parc Asterix only has it due to the lake really). PortAventura really uses it to it's advantage with the staggered openings and that keeps the crowds moving well (excluding the PA Express of course!). But from what i've heard about Cinecitta World, crowds are not an issue!
  21. I've been told by multiple different people that DBGT: Rise of the Demon has been doing soft openings towards the end of the day from Saturday till Monday, and this probably kept going. Apparently it is a HUGE improvement so I am very exciting to ride in the next few weeks!
  22. It awful anyway, because its used so often its really slow and boring now with a very short cycle. Go to Fantasy Island in Skegness if you want to ride a good one - The Beast is incredible!
  23. I would have to disagree, while what is there does look like a B&M loop, its probably approaching 50ft so far, and its not really close to vertical so i reckon it will be going to at least 150ft, probably closer to 180ft depending on how sharp/rounded the top of the loop is.
