  1. PP and AA are Both Intamin Eagle Fortress and X2 are both Arrow Please read the rules.... Also which Wood Coaster? Obviously I am blind - good point well made. I will swap Atlantis for Verbolten and X2 for Star Trek: Enterprise. Also its Wood Coaster Knight Valley, aka Mountain Flyer Thanks again for pointing that out aha
  2. 1982 - Epcot food pavilion, if I can only have one I will go with Japan 1992 - Eagle Fortress 1997 - Pyrenees 2000 - Perilous Plunge 2001 - Dodonpa 2002 - X2 2003 - Atlantis Adventure 2011 - Wood Coaster 2012 - Jolly Roger @ Pleasurewood Hills 2015 - Beast Playland PNE
  3. You would love Europe - Gerstlauers, everywhere!
  4. Only featuring countries I have been too - England - Olympia Looping (Nemesis for permanent) France - Tonnerre de Zeus Spain - Furius Baco/Shambhala I really liked both Holland - Falcon at Duinrell
  5. iSpeed for sure! How about - Gold Reef City?
  6. Big Dipper at Blackpool, beating Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach's "Rollercoaster" by just one year! Big Dipper is FAR superior!
  7. I have been on quite a few different flat rides including Danter's Air, which is a Starshape. I am not a huge starshape fan though I prefer a good top scan!
  8. since Henry was temp banned for a month I will give my thoughts.... XXL is FAR superior to Vortex at Thorpe Park. I haven't been on a Zamperla Discovery but everyone I know who has been on both (usually Black Widow and Beast at Kennywood and Playland PNE respectively) prefer the XXL model. The thing that makes them so good is that they push you up into the swing, instead of down into the next swing. Its kind of hard to explain but I feel like I did a reasonable job. They are absolute airtime machines - if XXL was a coaster I honestly would put it above a LOT of other rides even major coasters like maybe Nemesis Inferno for example.
  9. I think they could possibly try and pull off 'World's first fully wooden launch coaster,' and argue that Lightning Rod has too much steel to count as a woodie.
  10. B&M - Oblivion, great concept but just way too short. At least it never ever has a queue! Intamin - Probably Colossus, just not great - I preferred Furius Baco. GCI - Not ridden any but Tomahawk at PortAventura has Mini Millennium Flyers - that counts right?
  11. Yes they did. Your own trip report includes a photo of a seven car train. He went on Sunday...
  12. It can't be that rough, I mean it is like 3 years old. Honestly if a ride is that new and VR is added there is clearly something wrong!
  13. They had all 5 trains on site from the start of the event, but didn't use all 5 at once until the 2nd weekend. At that point, it was the 5-car trains. After that, the owners realised it wasn't enough, and returned to Germany to get the remaining 10 cars so they could extend all 5 trains to 7 cars. Last Friday (Dec 2nd) was the first time it ran the 7 car trains. Just to emphasise what a big deal that is, it is the first time to my knowledge it has run the longer trains outside of Munich Oktoberfest. Even at other mega-busy fairs, it only runs 5 car trains. If the owners feel Winter Wonderland justifies the extra effort, it shows what a truly huge event it has become. Even more so, when you consider it's the furthest the ride has ever been from home, and that adding the cars was no easy task. I went two weekends ago, the weekend after opening and only 4 trains were on the track, although to be fair i didn't look it may of been in the surrounding area.
  14. Nobody likes Cedar Point quite clearly. Great suggestion!
  15. They only brought 4 of the trains over, as far as I know just to clarify. I went when it had 5 car trains though so maybe another train also came over.
  16. You wouldn't guess it but its actually over 4000ft. When I was on the way to it me and the people I was with were debating how on earth its over 1000ft longer than Colossus at Thorpe Park!
  17. Trust me, the flume was absolutely appalling.
  18. World's longest hybrid - The Ultimate. There we go. That's it. Well unless we're counting pathetic stuff: World's Tallest/Fastest/Longest Wooden Spinning Coaster: Tyrolean Tubtwist.
  19. The white looks so vibrant in that picture Is that a mountain on the right or clouds deceiving me No, its mountains the whole of Salou is surrounded by them, even near the coast. From Barcelona airport we had to go through them to reach the park!
  20. I think it is unfair to say he is getting protective, he was just stating that its in the wrong topic as clearly this concept isn't being built at Voldrop...
  21. Lovely report, crazy to think they literally cannot keep up with the dispatch rate of T Express! Wish more parks were like this!
  22. What is the name of this coaster. Cop Car Chase at Movie Park Germany https://rcdb.com/970.htm
  23. That might be the weirdest name/theming I have ever seen for a ride like this... Yeah it is a bit strange, they love to go all out at Winter Wonderland. Normally its themed as Rockrage throughout the main funfair season. Also, anyone following the pullup of the fair should check out here: https://www.facebook.com/hydeparkwinterwonderlandunofficial/?fref=ts They have daily updates and exclusive onsite pictures. I have been there once and its so impressive in person, I went on the day after they put up the 3rd and 4th loops, they were working on the helixes. Incredibly excited to be visiting on Saturday!
