1. Valhalla is apparently going to be SBNO for 2020, not sure on whether this is true but a true shame. Apparently it needs 900k in renovations and obviously has the high running costs as it is.
2. Love the list, felt like quite a wait but its pretty sweet! Noticed there may be an error, or maybe its intended due to how some coasters are wood or ateel but on the overall top 25 and the steel 25, one of them millennium force is > twisted colossus and then on the other its twisted> millennium force. If this is wrong seems like a lot of other parts may be messed up to so I just wanted to inform you. Thanks for the hard work put into making this nonetheless! Edit: was answered before actually so disregard, will leave this though is thinking the same thing. 3. I think its more whats the point that anything else, why bother with a B&M 7 looper when new designs from Vekoma are much cheaper, or get a Gerstlauer with maybe 5 inversions but you get a beyond vertical drop as a bonus for half the price. I think B&M is just a bit too expensive really for growing parks, almost all B&Ms are now only going to established parks or Chinese new builds with lots of money to spend.
4. Agreed. Saying you're a respected carny is like saying you're the tallest dwarf. While I very rarely ride these types of attractions, I always pick and choose very carefully any ride I will board at any US carnival or fairground because I simply do not think that any of them are remotely "respectable" in any way. Would you say the same about Europe out of interest? I know its a lot more regulated here especially Germany and the Netherlands
5. Icon, Wickerman is it for this year unfortunately - never really get around to riding opening year rides outside the UK.
6. Hes going on the very last week of school there will be tons of reward trips and because its offpeak, most rides will have one train unless they plan ahead which is kinda unlikely.
7. Merlin has shops in most of their queuelines and this happens sometimes, not often but it does happen - some staff members try and stop it usually when I buy something i just get my group to completely block the path so nobody can even try to overtake. Its quite nice honestly as for Saw:The Ride half the queue between the shop and station entry is empty often so you get a nice walk to break up the queuing. I think toilets would be hard to manage really, they could maybe make the exit to the toilets come out like 10 metres further down the queue allowing people to rejoin their group.
8. Yeah now you say it, I thought I saw that too. Oh well!
9. It had VR for less than a year, but they've removed it now and I think its on something else instead (slc?)
10. short question for you AJ, but how many ballot were completed?

12. Prepare for hoards of school trips, one train operations and really - the worst! I think the unlimited fast tracks unnecessary maybe get the one which is 1 ride on every major coaster, on a school trippy kind of day, barely anyone uses fastrack so it should work well. Don't queue ages for the walking dead, i'm a celebrity or DBGT as you will most likely be disappointed but if you catch it with a short queue DBGT is definitely worth a ride. Good luck
13. translation: "A copy of what exists at other parks (in Europe) would not be a good idea. However, Fantawild can bring us something very different, with Chinese themes and atmospheres that don't exist anywhere else in Europe." source: NordLittoral (French newspaper) There goes my Intamin Wingrider dreams - I was really looking forward to a hopefully smoother version of Furius Baco, one of my top rides!
14. I would say it's definitely B&M's. They design the ride, after all. Also, if this IS a straight clone of Griffon, then that layout would call for the old trains anyway, even though these are 8-across instead of 10-across. The park definitely get some say in the restraints but honestly with the much slimmer and smaller Asian demographic, the big (and not very nice) vest restraints are pretty unnecessary. I don't know why more parks haven't got the restraints OzIris has which are 1.3m invert ones (or maybe Merlin just bumps up the Nemesis's height restrictions to be inline with everything else I don't know)
15. Some other guy decided to make a new topic for this, then it was locked and this thread was tagged so i've decided to bring it back from the dead. A few notable ones from parks i've visited: Wildfire at Kolmarden. Holy, this thing could hold probably 2-3 hours of queue, theres two sets of switchbacks that extend from the station all the way to the first drop, whereas the ride had a 15 minute queue tops mid-summer. I guess they're future proofing it. Furius Baco at PortAventura. With simply the indoor section the queue is maybe 3 hours? possibly more but the outdoor vineyard switchbacks would safely put it at 5 hours I think. Theres two major indoor areas and they were filled with a 3 hour wait throughout my week at the park. Stealth at Thorpe Park. Now this isn't as extreme as the other two but in my 10 years of visiting the park, I have never seen all the extensions used at once, and when one is opened its usually not necessary. Could also include like nemesis and galactica but people have mentioned them so whatever. Oblivion is an interesting one because either the whole queue is filled or none of it at all, once a queue builds up for it (usually by Smiler shutting down) the queue will not die down for the rest of the day.
16. Good to see another Balder fan, I prefer it to Wildfire too - (but helix beat them both for me) ...now let me get back to making my list..
17. I was bummed I got the latter experience last year. I was looking forward to the odd experience. I got the former experience and was completely underwhelmed (and confused). The original version had its theming taken out years ago, the themed part of the queue was converted to be used for Fright Nights so it never made much sense. I prefer the updated version the stops were pointless and slowed it down and the new theme is vibrant, before it was just dark and dull. Good to see the stops weren't just me imagining things although it does go backwards a little bit halfway through the ride too right (and still does as X i'm pretty sure) The new theme is a much needed refresh hopefully they fix the restraints so people can ride alone too as it caused loads of problems. Can see this having massive queues due to the awful capacity and people getting disappointed as its just X, which alone is underwhelming but I guess we'll see. I like the zombie idea at the stops.
18. Not very much planned this year just English parks after Sweden last year, got to save up for America Defo: Thorpe, BPB, Alton, Adventure Island Possible: Lightwater Valley, Dreamland Margate, Flamingoland maybe, Drayton, Oakwood and Plopsaland de Panne. Then i'll get one park hopefully abroad if its near wherever we go in Summer!
19. I went here for a look around probably around 2013 it was pretty lifeless like 2 stores open really weird, complete ghost of what i suppose it was like. I've always been intrigued so thanks for posting this!
20. You've got to head back if you liked it, they've got this new rule (probably due to the swaying lift hill) where they now only load 3 adults per car and its ridiculous (spinning and 2 hour+ queues all summer!) I think its a really fun ride and definitely ahead of Sonic Spinball for me but like I have only done most of England, PortAventura, Parc Asterix and Sweden and i don't think its even top 30! Definitely fun though! I would like to say as my personal thoughts I do like having these kind of family thrill coasters as its interesting to see what people think of coasters that aren't top 10 in the world and to see how people compare them. Obviously not like Mack powered coasters but more unique rides I think would be fun too see - just my thoughts though! Also just wondering if you'd want to add Raptor Attack at Lightwater Valley since its much better than a standard Schwarzkopf Wildcat due to the setting/theming, I wouldn't have suggested if Twister the Reverchon spinner clone wasn't included but its without a doubt a better ride. Sorry if this a bit of annoying request as I understand your still adding stuff Just started making my list and saving is working for more on Windows 10 Chrome. Really looking good so far its been roughly 5 years since Mitch's stopped i'm so glad its spot's finally been filled! Top Class!
21. I saw you don't want parks with family/kiddie rides only however on my list there were a few major ones missed out: Blackpool Pleasure Beach Fantasy Island Drayton Manor Flamingo Land Smaller ones with a major coaster (not sure if you want these but do what you wish): Adventure Island w/ Rage Duinrell w/Falcon Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach w/Roller Coaster Legoland Windsor (since the other ones are in) Lightwater Valley w/Ultimate Wild Maus XXL was missed as a Travelling coaster too not super high ranking but its popular i'd say. Smaller parks missed for me: Brean Themepark, Dreamland Margate, Blackgang Chime, Brighton Pier, Gullivers Milton Keynes, Harbour Park(kiddie only), Joyland(kiddie only but it has Tyrolean so i don't know if you want it), Pleasurewood Hills. Do what you wish with the information, happy to support this! ALSO with the defunct rides thing will Wild Mouse at Blackpool be included just out of interest as we don't know if it was dismantled or demolished (as far as I know at least) as Kanonen is included as its dismantled.
22. Its travelling i'm pretty sure since the new owners of Fantasy Island are Mellors (or its one of the big showmen i can't remember who honestly.)
