  1. Pretty crazy/terrifying. Seems as if they've designed it to kill you by blacking you out for a long enough period of time. I've never blacked out on a coaster, only greyouts, but I'd imagine "death by blackout" wouldn't be too fun of a way to go. At least they didn't go the other direction, and create the "Skyrush from hell", causing "Death by redout" with extreme airtime
  2. Or to see where construction of the park's rumored RMC launched giga-woodie-aquatrax is taking place!
  3. This is what I would call a luxury problem.
  4. Would love to see that happen, even though I have my doubts. Behemoth and Leviathan are great, but tbh, I'm kind of getting sick of B&Ms, as all this part of the country really has in terms of large coasters is beemers.
  5. Skyrider at CW. The airtime was surprisingly intense, and you get at least somewhat of a feel for that on video. Now that it's been relocated, I at least have some good memories of that airtime, and can somewhat relive it through youtube. Mindvender at Galaxyland, West Edmonton Mall, cause it's so damn intense! Intamin 2nd Gen Drop Towers/S&S towers/ARM super shots. For most of them, it's hard to capture the freefall/airtime feeling, but a couple really good POVs manage to capture it somewhat Chance zippers/Topscans/Most very intense flats usually provide some great POVs. In many of them, you can really get a sense of the intensity/disorientation on the video, and because so many of these rides give random, unpredictable movements, each POV is different, just like the true nature of the rides themselves.
  6. And I thought the Mindbender up a few hours north of there (in Edmonton) was intense!... Guess I was way wrong!
  7. ^^^^ also find this really interesting! Would explain why Leviathan sounded quieter this past year. Wonder if this means we're certain to be getting a B&M as our next coaster after all. Maybe a company like intamin or Mack will have a chance to step in and do something great at the park.
  8. Looks like a very interesting ride! Also love how Dynamic Attractions, a canadian company, is designing this
  9. ^Maybe... I've got a feeling the three projects are wildfire, this (BGT installation), and finally, a six flags park, either SFSTL with the Boss, or La Ronde with Le Monstre.
  10. ^Agreed. Smoothest coaster I've been on was the Mindbender, a Schwarzkopf made about 30 years ago. That's around 5 years before B&M was even in business!
  11. Couldn't agree more. However, it seems B&M have started a bit of a trend of "rideable" rather than intense coasters. From what I've heard in reviews of rides like Helix from Mack and Outla Run from RMC, it seems as if both those companies are laying off the gas just a little when it comes to intensity. Seems as though Intamin is the only one consistsntly pumping out intense coasters. Just my observation though. I could be way off base with this.
  12. Think this thread should be titled, why is there a worldwide lack of flats in parks?
  13. I doubt they'll top the polls, however, IMO, I find it pretty ironic how many people are saying they're stuck to their "traditional" ways. About 15-20 years ago, all those rides were quite groundbreaking (and some of them, ie. Batman clones, are still amazing today). It seems like over the last 15-10 years, B&M Just got lazy, and didn't expect other companies like Intamin to step up, or startups like RMC to make such a splash.
  14. Coasters look like a piece of Sh*t at this park, however, the flats look pretty cool
  15. What about the racer at Kennywood's? Also, that spiral coaster looks pretty sweet...reminds me of the pipeline coaster from RCT3.
  16. ^^Amen to that. ... An DRMC would be nice though , and ride wise, the park would have a decent lineup. HOWEVER, more doesn't change the sketchiness of the park
  17. ^When I rode it, I didn't really find it rough, just forceless.
  18. ^Personally, I agree with nick man. Mindbender's a longer ride, and more forceful, however, I still like Vampire more. Probably has to do with how the Mindbender ends. Mindbender's relatively forceless helix at the end kind of killed it for me. I don't know why. Guess I thought the ride's finale would be a little more Intense. Also like how vampire's elements are a little more varied throughout the course, and that the pacing doesn't let up. It might be a little less forceful than Mindbender, but the relentlessness of Vampire puts it ahead for me. As for wonderland, their B&Ms are fun, but nothing special in my opinion. Yes, Leviathan's huge, but personally, I actually rank it quite low in my count, as the only real memorable parts of the ride to me were the first drop and the ejector air hill after the first overbank. Honestly, I'd rank Wonderland's Intamin drop towe over both of their b&m's. My last visit, I rode both B&Ms maybe 3 times each, but rode Drop Zone (tower to be politically correct ) at least 10 times; not due to shorter lines, simply because I enjoyed it more. If Le Monstre were to be RMCed, I'm almost certain I'd have to re consider the order of my top coasters however As for how likely it is we'll see an RMC at La Ronde anytime soon, I have my doubts, like many other users have said, however, there is a glimmer of Hope. Six Flags Mexico got an RMC, and I'd imagine they were somewhat of a neglected park up until that point. Anyway, just my two cents!
  19. "Take the Vag*na!!!" Oh... And who can forget, "Dude, that kicked so much @$$!" C
  20. Skyrider, Canada's Wonderland: I always greyed out between the vertical loop and the first airtime hill. Le Vampire (Batman Clone), La Ronde: I usually grey out the first time I ride this each visit, mainly on the helix after the first 3 inversions. After that, I'm fine. As a side note, I've found the front row to be far worse for grey outs than the back row. In the front, you're assaulted with high G forces during the first 3 inversions, and I usually feel like I'm going to not just grey, but black out by the time I'm through the helix. However, the back row seems to give just a bit of a break, with a split second of hangtime at the top of the two vertical loops before slamming you back into your seat with positive Gs. It's a lot more enjoyable than I probably made it sound, and one hell of a lot better than the fromt IMO. Surprisingly, I've never greyed out on Mindbender at Galaxyland out in Edmonton when I've rode it. The forces were strong, but seemed enjoyable in a weird way, and werent as abrupt as other high G coasters (which ironically pull less Gs), such as the ones mentioned above.
  21. If a ride's painful, that's no fun for anybody, but IMO, intensity is a completely separate thing. Usually, when someone says a ride is "too intense", that's my cue to go try it out lol .
  22. That's awesome! Remember imagining a ride like that before myself. Too bad you can't find the program now
