  1. ^Funny you mention that. Even though WC looks like the better ride, WC is in fact the one that comes across as sorta "meh"/missing something... However, with TC, I just can't stop thinking of that "Top Gun Stall" over the other track section I also feel that the coasters will look a lot better in the flesh (or in this case, wood and steel ). I've never liked the recent six flags animations... In particular the TC one... Seriously?, the whole trademark six flags apocalyptic clouds/sunset... But with totally un-fitting music?!?!??... Total fail
  2. For a coaster, I'd take a chance to buy Skyrider from CW, saving the ONE TOGO that's not a death machine from it's demise, and keeping it's intensity and fantastic ejector airtime all for myself For a flat, hands down it'd be a zipper! They're relatively cheap, extremely compact, and most importantly, wicked intense & a new experience every ride!
  3. More of a ride nerd than spacifically coaster needs, but I'm guilty of this. ...you get excited when you see a carnival set up in your town due to the sole fact it has a rare flat, like a KMG inversion, Mondial Topscan, Technical Park Loop Fighter, or even a Chance Zipper
  4. Seems pretty cool... Nothing special, but looks... I have a feeling all my friends who play COD zombies will love this!
  5. I've not ridden it; and it's seeming unlikely that I will this year. Assuming it's the same one from CNE year's gone by it's not one of the more forceful ones. That distinction (for me at least) would go to the one at the North Bay Fair that just about knocked me unconscious 9 or 10 years ago. Seriously, that one was flat out vicious. If by north bay you mean north bay ontario, that's the one I've done as well. Pretty sure it's the one that used to be owned by WOrlds finest shows (WFS), and yes, when I've rode it, it was extremely intense. The ops (who, for carnies, are some of the nicest staff around, and really respect enthusiasts), found ways to keep my car spinning for about 5 minutes straight, then give constant pops of ejector airtime for the next five... Most Wickedly Awesome 10 minutes of my life! This zipper, and Skyrider, will be deeply missed by me... Two of the most forceful rides in all of Canada. R.I.P.
  6. I seem to remember an interview where the park said they weren't quite done with the mountain yet, an that there was still room in there not occupied by Guardian. As much as I don't want a B&M wing rider at the park, how awesome would it be to have one interacting with the mountain (World's largest keyhole maybe?), as well as WMG vortex, and the lake. If they did it right, and made it somewhat forceful, that'd be amazing IMO. ^As for Spine warp and flight deck, people usually ride them once, thinking they'll be fun, the vou never to ride them again. Hey, at least it takes the lines away from the good rides As a side note, I've noticed this happen on drop zone with leviathan .. No line for the tower, as Leviathan steals the attention... While this is awesome for me, as i love Drop zone, and personally think it's got a far Better drop than the B&M next to it, I can't believe the GP won't even consider riding it.. Just re enforces my theory that what effects the GP most is the size of a ride.
  7. ... You just didn't sleep period, fueled on cafine, and pure adrenaline. Bonus, you were on the east side of North America, therefore, had to stay up till 5:00am. Double bonus, you did it, even though you had to get up for 7:00am the next morning. Guess who's guilty of all this?
  8. ^So close to me, yet so far... Not able to get to Toronto in the next few days (wish I could've... One last lap on Skyrider, and can ride another zipper ). If you can see it/have rode it, what does it look like?... It might be the old one formerly owned by Worlds Finest Shows (one of the last ones manufactured with the old style cages, which flipped ALOT more than the new style models with the letter "z" on them).
  9. My thoughts exactly! Now... If they could make a duelling park model, with open seats/more leg room that was mentioned a few pages back, that'd be amazing! Some may doubt it can be done, but look at what Elitch/Six flags have done with the super loop. In addition, chance seems to be doing fairly well right now, seeing as their hyper lite was a major hit, so maybe, if asked by a park, they'd attempt something like this? Unfortunately for me, the only zipper that used to come to my town was sold to the states this year, so I really want the above mentioned park model zipper to eventually come to be . Actually, now that I think of it, I could possibly see my home park (CW), getting one... They've been known to test new ride concepts in the past, and this would be one flat they don't already have in their massive collection. Guess I'll just have to wait and see.
  10. The problem is how hard it is to market a full steel sit down looper nowadays. Of course, they would be outstanding and their will be parks to buy it, but not many. Nowadays, their must be some type if gimmick to get crowds in. I wouldn't put it past RMC to come up with a gimmick to sell more coasters, though. A launched RMC would be outstanding, and there's still a large market for launched coasters. I understand there's more of a need for 'gimmicks', but I could totally see smaller parks, such as KK getting an RMC steel looper. I believe they'll save the launch idea fora launched woodie, as that could be more marketable. As for this ride, although there's been complaints/worries about there being too much spinning, I personally love that aspect! I've always loved chance zippers/Mondial topscans, and for some reason, this ride gives me that vibe with the motions it goes through. Pretty pumped to see how this turns out!
  11. Just out of curiosity, how intense are these compared with other flats, such as the zipper, Mondial Capriolo etc.?
  12. I remember la ronde testing something similar to this on their B&M hyper, but I'm not sure if it works.
  13. TC looks very unique, and as others have said, you basically get two rides in one, however, WC looks like the overall better designed ride. I remember one of the RMc designers saying some of their best designs come from having to work with limitations, and I believe WC demonstrates that perfectly (more compact, and I imagine less space to work with). Both look amazing though~!
  14. ^You think 2 am is bad, try staying up till 5 am if you're further east! I pray to the almighty RMC gods there's no delays
  15. Seriously, you actually believe this? Not really lol... **HOWEVER** i have even less faith that the name will be "Ziz"... Such a godamn awful name for a coaster
  16. I still think that the naming that goes along with the Olympic venues will continue. Behemoth - Beijing - 2008 Leviathan - London - 2012 Rougarou (name trademarked by CF) - Rio -2016 In addition, I believe CW will be receiving CF's first RMC. The park said this ride would be "innovative", and with gatekeeper receiving mixed reviews plus the fact an RMC would be new for the chain (CW's last 3 coasters have been never done in CF parks/employed new concepts for the chain to some degree), means an RMC is at least somewhat of a possibility. Even if I'm wrong, and an RMC is not in the park's future, I still believe we'll see CF and RMC teaming up sometime to do something amazing in the chain.
  17. Just an idea, could this possibly be the soon to be announced ride Concept from Mack that's been floating around the forums lately?
  18. Yes. This!... Just seeing how amazing Helix is, I can't even imagine how amazing an invert (one of my fav coaster types) would be from these guys!
  19. I really wasn't referring to their insanity and intensity in my previous post, but more the problems related with being that insane lol (ie. Rides being down, complaints from the GP, blackouts etc.). I'd have to say I'm with you though. I personally love rides that are just balls to the walls intense, no matter the manufacturer, hence why I will miss Skyrider at my home park so much when it closes in less than a week. Here's to hoping the Wicked Cyclone is Wicked intense, and lives upto it's new name!
  20. ^Very, very good point... In a way, however, just us talking about the complainers is almost as bad as the complaining itself lol. Anyway. Back on topic. This ride looks amazing! The first time I saw it, I thought of many people's "dream coasters" built in NL2, and was shocked this was being built. Can't wait to see all the reactions and POVs etc on the TPR 2016 Scandi trip!
  21. This is another GREAT one! Not only is it annoying for people at the park, but I can't tell you how many amazing offride videos on youtube, that I have watched, as well as ones I have shot myself, have been ruined by the cursed basketball.
  22. I completely understand that this was a joke, however, maybe that's it... First DOUBLE twisting drop on a woodie?... Now that would be amazing! These last two days will be so painful!.. And knowing SF, they won't even release a full POV rendering lol. Remember IRAT and Medusa?
  23. Probably because not too many enthusiasts have gone down to Six Flags Mexico to ride Medusa: Steel Coaster yet. That sure looks like a top 10 coaster to me. This is RMC we're talking about. This thing is going to be an incredible ride no matter how they build it, straight drop, twisting drop, or whatever. I'm sure they'll put in some killer airtime hills and drops throughout the ride. The first drop isn't everything. I have to agree. There is only one ride where I'd say the first drop is the best part of the ride, Leviathan. Now look on my signature as to where it is on the list... Second from the BOTTOM. First drop is definitely not everything. I have great faith in RMC, and definitely believe this and Wicked Cyclone will be world class rides.
