  1. That basic phenomena is true for the marquee coaster(s) at any park to some extent. Most people want to race for "that one coaster" in the morning, which creates lines earlier more than later. I think that effect is amplified on X2 because of the painfulness stopping people from wanting to re-ride, so people get in their one ride and then dont come back and the line gets shorter in the afternoon. I expect Twisted Colossus' line to be long most of the day for quite a while, people will be going to the park just for that and probably reriding repeatedly. And remember... These are people who've never experienced ejector airtime, therefore creating even longer lines!
  2. Agree for sure on that! Right now, the closest one to me is nearly 10 hours away from me at la ronde Also, where did you see/hear about the cement truck? I kinda just skimmed through a few pictures posted above, and didn't notice one.
  3. ^Agree the link was fake. I was more wondering what the "actual name" of the coaster would be (hence me bringing up how we had hints/inside knowledge of Leviathan's name before it was announced).
  4. I've heard a lot of people describing this thing as similar to the zipper, which is great! I love how those things are so rerideable ...Also found it pretty funny how even the weather made this thing feel more like a (carnival) flat ride/coaster combo.... Weather is almost always rain/crap whenever the carnival comes to my town
  5. ^Nice pics As for the "website" that was posted a few pages back, not really sure what putting "new+for+2016" would mean. Remember that for the other additions like leviathan, we had wonderland's website with /leviathan behind it, and from what I remember, the only reason people knew to write "leviathan" as the name was due to a leak (where leviathan was one of the perposed names for Behemoth/other future coasters back in 2008). Knowing this, maybe we could also try using other "proposed" coaster names? Would anybody happen to have info on what some of those names might be? Just taking a wild guess here, but hey, it worked with Leviathan
  6. ^All the European travelling models still have the horn as well, or at least from what I've seen online.
  7. So hyped right now!... Who knew blank webpages were so exciting!
  8. ^Thanks so much for the pics! As for the blue markers, someone over on CW had a really good point. They could possibly be for a splashdown similar to diamondback or the dive coasters (makes sense to me with the lake right next to skyrider's old plot of land. No matter what the markers mean, seeing the bulldozer there makes me think more and more that something's gonna be occupying that plot of land pretty soon.
  9. Fixed! Lol... Sounds like the flatrides at the local carnival that set up here this week! In all seriousness though. this ride looks like a blast! Hoping these S&S zacspins catch on. They seem a lot better than the intamin versions (and a lot cheaper too, at least from what I've hear... could be way off on that one). As a side note, does anybody know if the designers from RMC had a hand in building this coaster? I seem to remember hearing something about that a little while ago, and the track looks similar to RMC's stuff as well.
  10. Just guessing. For rides, lets just say you wanted to start with a ride lineup the size of you're average carnival and build from there on, I would say you'd need maybe $100-150 million (all costs, not just rides). Not sure how accurate that is, like I said, just rough estimating based on how much I know rides cost and how much it'd probably cost per employee, then factoring in a few extra dollars for stuff like buying the land/insurance/permits to run park etc.
  11. ^Interesting; had no idea the effects were part of the paramount rights/IP. While we're on the topic of CF removing stuff from the park, has anyone gotvpics of those markers spotted around timberwolf?
  12. ^^I believe it was a combination of maintenance and parts they couldn't get, but not sure. Speaking of backlot though, that gave me an idea. If we are getting some kind of blitz/launch coaster in the near future, does anyone think the park would go with premier to build it? Seems like they've been putting out some pretty interesting stuff lately with the SFDK clones and full throttle.
  13. Just checked out some YouTube vids of the double one. Pretty interesting, didn't know those rides even existed.
  14. Thanks to everyone who cleared up the blitz coaster explanations. Thinking about it, I still believe we'll see a coaster of that type from Mack or possibly (I doubt it though) Intamin. Unless B&M wants to bring back their old school, balls to the walls intensity (which I would fully support ), I couldn't see whatever they build really fitting the definition of a "blitz" coaster. Just my opinion though... Could be way off. Only time will tell.
  15. ^^^Very good point about the turnaround section. Really don't know what type of coaster it could be, but knowing the "testing ground" nature of CW, I could totally see a firstim the chain type of coaster, most likely some kind of MacK or B&M launcher. Also, I've heard the term "blitz" coaster brought up. Sorry if this is somewhat of a dumb question, but can anyone here tell me more or less what a "blitz" coaster is? Only ones I can think of off the top of my head would be Maverick or possibly helix, and other than the fact that they're launchers, can't really see anything that separates them from the rest (besides the fact they look like amazing rides ).
  16. ^Other ones have been leaked, but I don't remember *news sites* leaking this much info about the rides. Just going off memory, so I'm probably wrong; Windseeker's just the one I remember the most. Anyway, the point about the blitz coaster in timber wolf falls'/Skyrider's spot sounds interesting. However, not sure how B&M would pull something like that off. Personally think that if we're getting something along the lines of Helix/maverick, it'll be by Mack.
  17. ^Always seems that there's some news site ready to leak a bit of info Didn't that happen with Windseeker a few years ago?
  18. Member on CWMania said they saw about 5 or 6 red stakes near timber wolf falls as well.
  19. ^^Just shows how easy it is to trick the GP ... But in all seriousness, I don't blame them. As someone who's been to that park quite a few times, I can say that, while Ednor (SLC) is probably not a very good ride (never actually done it) compared to Vampire (B&M... & best coaster in Canada IMO), I have to say Ednor looks way more enticing to ride just based on appearance alone (which is what the GP I know usually base what they'll ride on). The ride looks great; nice colour scheme, in addition to being placed over the water with the Montreal skyline in the background.
  20. SFNE: GIB & Standard boomerang
  21. Yup, remember it being pretty loud when I saw the one I described. Kinda shocked a smaller show like that would have such a ride now I think of it (I've heard it takes three trailers to move).
  22. Always thought this ride was very interesting, and was wondering if anybody on here had any info on a particular installation. I seem to remember there being a traveling version that toured around Canada about 10 years ago. I can't find any pics, vids or other info about it, but I clearly remember seeing it at a few locations in Ontario. I'm pretty sure it was owned by Campbell Amusements, but I can't be certain. Looked very similar to the pic below, but the backdrop was a purple-ish colour. and I'm pretty sure there wasn't any backdrop one time I saw it. Think the train had a few paint jobs over the years, but I can remember it having yellow cars, and one time with a pink/blue colour scheme. EDIT: After some research, turns out the ride Campbell owned was was a Reverchon Himalaya without the roof/tent. Was a long time ago, so guess I remembered it wrong
  23. Its dont think its that he doesnt want to use the term at all, cause this ride has a high five and he still refers to that element by that name, it would be confusing to call both of these a high five, so it makes sense to come up with a new name for it. sorry, i didn't mean to confuse what i said with the top gun. but in the interview i watched alan basically said the name high five didn't make sense, and that he never wanted to use it, that six flags wanted to. so to him, there is no high five in the design. i think his idea of a high five would be if they trains met traveling at each other, and i agree with him. i bet one day we will see that, that would be cool. Another note about the high five element. this may have already been mentioned, but after watching a POV of the original "high five coaster" (the woodie in china that got built a few years ago), I couldn't help but notice the two tracks on TC seem further apart from each other than on the other ride.
