  1. Looks like a great improvement on the bowl and Master Blaster. Wonder how it compares to their existing LIM am slides? Have a feeling we may be seeing one of these Astor new splash works addition at CW for next year, with all the digging/work around the water park area.
  2. ... Yet another skyloop Clone **Sigh**.... I like it! This one looks pretty sweet, almost like they mixed a Premier model and a euro fighter together. Always cool seeing the manufacturers try to outdo each other with their particular model/take on a ride concept.
  3. Still a better Love Story than Twilight I'm just gonna type a blank space now... ____ can't think of a way to further this pun chain On another note, has anyone seen the Brown track at CP/leaving the plant?... If not, you better keep praying it doesn't show up in Toronto!
  4. Personally think there way too much going on in the splash works area to get nothing next year. Also, the press release announcing Skyrider's removal stated that building its replacement would be multi year project. Think we'll see a splash works expansion or flat in 2016, with a coaster in 2017.
  5. Just remembered one thing... We could be seeing one more CF countdown very soon.., CP's not outa the woods yet... Here in Toronto, today was a provincial holiday. Therefore, a CW countdown could very well be released tomorrow (a time when more people in their region will be on their computers/checking their email. And even if their countdown doesn't start tomorrow, CW usually announces their additions late anyway, so you may be seeing a countdown either later this week or next.
  6. They're just now praying to the coaster gods that the b&m track doesn't get shipped north of the border. Don't worry... Either way, the complaining will start up very soon once again. Either "why didn't we get it?" If CW gets the coaster, or "Why a dive machine/this or that" if it's announced for CP.
  7. ^Thanks. Possibly heading to the one at Fantasy Fair (similar to mega park, but in Toronto) Interesting to hear you get the stomach dropping feeling. The only other ride I've done where that happens is the Intamin towers.
  8. Or bringing back a "coaster dark ride" like Disaster Transport? ... All will be CLEAR.... CP gets DARKRIDE... CW gets... The "All clear!... That means you're outa here! Enjoy you're ride on Ziz! Canada's first and only Vertical Diving coaster here at Canada's Wonderland!"
  9. ^^^If the park's height restrictions are in fact a cause of the various incidents (including the major one) with the ride, wonder what that'll mean for height restrictions at that park in the future? As for CP, has anybody seen signs of the b&m track being shipped out anywhere from the plant yet?... To either CP or CW?
  10. This is why I think it isn't going to be a Dark ride. Why would they be teasing the entire summer just to switch it? Don't forget: Wonder Mountain's Guardian IS considered a coaster... Exactly, this will be a "new breed of coaster" for CP.
  11. ^^And when Canada gets the first Dive coaster (as well as steepest coaster) in the country's history... A far more marketable/likely concept than putting the coaster at CP, where a dive coaster will just blend in (even the track colour blends in lol)
  12. ... August 18 was Leviathan's announcement date.
  13. ^Now the moment of truth... Are these pieces headed north of the border, or staying in the U.S. of A?
  14. Might be heading to a park with one of these rides. Heard they've got some decent airtime for their size. Any thoughts?
  15. I would have agreed with you untill Screamscape posted these pictures It really is Brown Just noticed there's unpainted track on the left side of the pic. Wonder what that is. Also, what about the "bright green" track that was mentioned?
  16. ^ Seriously though, after watching the video, doesn't look all that bad. Anybody know German to translate the video? Lol
  17. I remember visiting Galaxyland out in Edmonton a few years back, and people were still talking about the accident on the mindbender that happened almost 25 years ago. Now almost 30 years after the accident, whenever I mention how the Mindbender is in my top 5 coasters, the first thing that's usually out of people's mouths goes something like, "Isn't that the ride where people died or something... You're lucky to be alive". I understand the accident at Alton towers wasn't quite as serious, but it was still pretty horrific to see something like that happen, and given the dark nature/theming of the ride, I could see this attraction getting a pretty bad rap from the GP for at least the next year or two. That being said, I'm hoping the accident doesn't leave as much of an impact on the park as a whole as the Mindbender accident did here in Canada. I'd imagine Alton's PR team is far superior to the seemingly non existent one at Galaxyland, and the general atmosphere of the park seems much cleaner and friendlier than the Edmonton park.
  18. now the moment of truth... CP or CW? Valleyfair, obviously.
  19. Really don't think loops on water slides work. I tried the Aqua loop; drop capsule was great, loop not so much, and as stated before, there seems to be a pretty long list of problems with this new model.
  20. ^Were rides like behemoth, windseeker and leviathan on that site in the past? While I believe hiding that information from the public section of the site is extremely unlikely, CW could be trying to keep things quiet for the time being. A good example from the past that comes to mind is the countdown clocks. When teasing for Behemoth began, people were able to hack the countdown, and leak the info of the ride early. CW then solved this by simply removing the countdown clock from windseeker's announcement, and fixing the bugs in the clock for leviathan's teaser. Anyway , IMO, with the amount of dirt being moved around by minebuster, combined with the decision to remove skyrider partway through last year instead of waiting for the off season leads me to believe we'll be getting **something** next year. Have no idea what it could be at this point (if I had to guess, my money would be on a wildebeest style pro slide water coaster, or a coaster starting at skyrider's old spot, and looping around splash works), however, I'd be shocked if we didn't get something with all the activity we're seeing.
  21. ^Well if that's true, sucks that there's no coaster. On the bright side, as someone who takes the b us frequently, this would be great. The one thing I've always liked about La Ronde, and that the city/park did right is that it has a subway stop right at it. Something like that at wonderland would be cool.
