  1. Actually it IS correct! The first inversion on Viper is 144ft tall, while the first inversion on Volcano is 155ft tall according to RCDB. Besides, Viper's first inversion is just a small loop way up in the air.
  2. Hopefully this will be a good tower. I have ridden 5 S&S towers and very few have impressed me. Heres the list: Spaceshot (Tusenfryd): Pretty good Droptower (Liseberg: Okay Spaceshot (Mirabilandia): Boring Drop tower (Mirabilandia): Boring Spaceshot (Prater): Awesome, the only really good S&S tower I have ridden. Im sorry that youre not getting an Intamin droptower because those rides are a million times better. Freefall instead of controlled speed.
  3. On floorless coasters I really enjoy floating out of the seat on the top of the loop. But my favorite loops are Schwarzkopf loops. Unlike the loops on Batman which pulls all the way, these loops have very strong G-forces entering and exiting the loop, but not quite as strong at the top. But still they are very intense and it just feels so great to fly through a loop with only a lapbar above your knees.
  4. I started on a new park in RCT2 recently. It started as a jungle themed park called Mystery Jungle, but at the moment it looks a bit more like a theme park with some jungle theming. If anyone can come up with a good name that sounds a bit exotic, please post it. Comments on the screenshots is also appriciated. Overview of the park so far. Down by the river is a skycoaster. All comments/suggestions are welcome! The main street with a souvenir shop, game building, snack building, theater and pizza restaurant. Im quite proud of this one! The entrance plaza and the parks wooden coaster called "The Rumbler"
  5. Atleast Speedmonster broke down before their ERS
  6. Unfortunately its not a very uncommon sight in Norway. I cant give you any answers to why it is like that, but it feels a bit embarrasing that it seems that the spitting is what made the biggest impression on you in Norway. It really sucks that you were a bit unlucky with your visit to Tusenfryd. I spent 2 days at Tusenfryd the last weekend in April and had a blast. Almost empty park, rain and all rides were running with the exception of short breakdowns on Thundercoaster and Speedmonster. My trip report can be found here http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25014&highlight=tusenfryd
  7. Dropkick Murphys - Walk Away The Offspring - The Worst Hangover Ever The lyrics in the last song would be perfect for a video with lots of footage with painfull coasters:
  8. Definately one of the better RCT3 parks! Keep up the great work!
  9. What was the weather like when you went to Tusenfryd? I find Thundercoaster to be alright when its dry, but a ride in the backseat when its raining is just totally insane! I love how it throws the passengers around!
  10. You should add some custom supports to those speed slides because they look very undersupported.
  11. Actually you can get the track closer if you use a trainer to zero clearences.
  12. I have only ridden one true terrain coaster and that is Lisebergbanen. Great Schwarzkopf-classic. Apparently this was Anton's favorite coaster and I can understand why. Its smooth, fun and has good G-forces. Thundercoaster @ Tusenfryd is what I would call a semi-terrain coaster. The track doesnt follow the ground all the way, but the entire coaster is built on a hillside so the second drop is taller and steeper than the first one. This ride has really been going downhill, but its still an amazing ride in the rain. Wildest wooden coaster Ive ever ridden.
  13. When I rode Katun last summer they were running two trains on it, and one of them was very smooth while the other train was vibrating quite alot.
  14. Worst sound: Colossus @ Thorpe Park. Crash, boom, bang! It sounds like its about to rattle itself apart. Best: B&M's of course have awesome sounds. But there are also some "classic" sounds which I for some weird reason like, like the sound on Vekoma/Arrow coasters as the train disengages from the lifthill.
  15. Best: Schwarzkopf lapbars because they give you so much space and freedom. Worst: The U-shaped non-padded lapbars on Thundercoaster. The seats are awesome, but the lapbars sucks. Flying into a steel bar going over a hill isnt very comfortable, and its easy to hurt your knees on them.
  16. You should make some custom supports for that floorless coaster, because some of the elements going over paths and buildings are way undersupported.
  17. Cyclone was running a few weeks ago when the European Coaster Club visited Astroworl.
  18. Here you can find pictures, stats and the history of Thriller http://schwarzkopf.coaster.net/ESthrillerGF.htm As far as I know, no one knows where its heading now...
  19. Sounds like youre having a great time! I agree that Liseberg is a really good park, one of my favorites. The haunted walkthrough scared the crap outta me last year. I hope it rains when youre going to Tusenfryd, because Thundercoaster kicks Balders ass in the rain!
  20. Wow that place looks amazing! Im not a big fan of waterparks, but I really want to visit that place after seeing those pictures.
  21. I can answer the two first questions. Making the sand is very easy, its just to change the ground texture using the terrain tool. And the water becomes light blue when the sand texture is used on the bottom.
  22. What an exciting first half! 1-1 so far, 10-10 in players! The Italian player deserved to be sent off (sent home if you ask me), but the American player should only have gotten a yellow card. A horrible decision by the referee. If hes going to keep giving red cards on tackles like that there wont be many players left on the pitch towards the end of the match. The American team has really impressed me so far, and if they keep playing like this in the second half they will win. Lets all hope that happens!
  23. That Tagada ride looks totally awesome. I think that many of the flat rides in RCT3 looks too much like travelling rides, but you really managed to make it look like a themepark-ride. Great job!
  24. This park looks really good considering its a RCT3 park. I really hope you are planning to do something with the station for the woodie though
  25. Best: This one is VERY easy. The final turn on the Schwarzkopf Looping Stars. It begins with a long, straight track with prebanking, followed by a turn with good positive G-forces and right before the turn ends it unbanks very quickly, throwing all the passengers to the side of their seat. Its totally awesome! These pictures really shows the awesomeness of that turn: http://www.wimmerl.com/Coaster/Bilder/Vidampark/71.html http://www.wimmerl.com/Coaster/Bilder/Vidampark/39.html http://www.wimmerl.com/Coaster/Bilder/Vidampark/49.html Another coaster with an awesome ending is Wild Train @ Erlebnisspark Strasswalchen. How many coasters actually has airtime AND laterak G-forces entering the station??!! http://www.rcdb.com/ig2775.htm?picture=17
