  1. Do you really think that they would have tubes for hydralic launch motors laying around in the mud??
  2. Shoulder restraints usually gives a 'fake' sense of security. On many coasters I have ridden with over-shoulder restraints I never touch the 'over shoulder' part.
  3. The waterfalls from the towers and the snow on the mountain looks kinda silly, but the rest looks pretty good!
  4. Riding rollercoasters is one of the safest things you can do. Walking down stairs, driving, crossing roads,.... All those things that most people do every single day are far more dangerous than riding rollercoasters. And once you go down the first drop Im sure you will love it. The waiting is the worst part. Before I started riding rollercoasters I was really scared of them, but now there are very few rides that makes me nervous.
  5. I have already visited Tusenfryd this year. I dont really have any plans yet, but I want to visit Sweden in the summer and me and a friend might be going to Germany this autumn and visit Phantasialand, Holiday Park and Europa Park.
  6. Liseberg is a fantastic park which you should all be looking forward to. Its very beatiful, and all three major coasters are very good. I do think that Speedmonster/Thundercoaster beats Balder/Kanonen, but thats only when its raining. Thundercoaster is way too slow when its dry, but its pure insanity in the rain, throwing you around in all directions. Balder is a more enjoyable ride where you can just relax and enjoy the strong, but gentle airtime. Lisebergbanan is also very good. Fast, smooth, some airtime and a very powerfull last helix. Its like a superfast minetrains.
  7. Lol great picture! You look like you are having alot more fun than him!
  8. I felt sorry for the ride-ops at Thorpe Park last summer. The sound levels in the station on Colossus and Inferno were insane, with loud music and even louder english kids and teenagers. It must also be hard to be a ride-op on Speedmonster with the loud engine sounds from the speakers in the station area as each train is launched. It really sounds like something that could give most people a headache after a very short time.
  9. You can read the entire story about the famous Thriller/Texas Tornado/Zonga here http://schwarzkopf.coaster.net/ESthrillerGF.htm Scroll down to the bottom for the english version of the story.
  10. Im sure that a quick e-mail to the park would help http://www.buschgardens.com/buschgardens/va/special_offers_home.aspx Click on 'Park Info & Events' and then 'Contact us'
  11. That shouldnt be any problem. Most people in Scandinavia speaks English pretty good.
  12. ^^Thats pretty much as far as Colossus @ Heide Park made it on its first test run. Colossus has a regular lifthill though.
  13. Talking about Bonbob-land. A kid was killed by the Dogfart coaster a few days ago. He climbed over the fence and was hit by the train. The ride and the security around it has been declared safe. A sad accident.
  14. I have ridden 2 slc's, and while they had some headbanging, it wasnt really painfull. Not comfortable, but not painfull. Colossus @ Thorpe park was more uncomfortable and the restraints were even worse.
  15. Awesome TR! Isla Mágica seems like a very fun park!
  16. Good TR! I thought Prater was a fantastic place. You wont find any parks like it anywhere else in the world. I cant belive you got on Auto BergBahn though! Yngve "Megablitz rocks" Oestbye
  17. I have never liked back-to-back corkscrews, but I love the rest! Keep up the good work!
  18. That looks so much better than the other X-car coasters colorwise.
  19. Wow that looks like a great waterpark. Very beatiful! Im not a big fan of those 100ft near-vertical backbruising waterslides, but these seems very fun to me (except the corkscrew thing maybe)
  20. Everyone is saying how boring B&M is and how Intamin makes more exciting layouts, but I think that Intamins standard looping coasters have some of the most boring layouts ever. Colossus @ Thorpe park may have been intense, but the layout was very predictable. Intamin may be making more unique elements, but when it comes to regular looping coasters I think B&M does it better.
  21. Looking great! I like that you make your own versions of the different rides instead of recreating them.
  22. Wow I have never noticed that insanely wide support on Great Bear's big drop. Crazy..... Great pictures! Hershey looks like a really good park!
  23. The layout couldnt have been more simple http://www.rcdb.com/ig949.htm?picture=2 . Its kinda like a powered looping coaster. Here you can find some info about the Katapult coasters that were made http://www.rcdb.com/model47.htm
  24. I think a combination of a jury and voting from each country would be the best. Atleast the best song won this time...
  25. If you look at the pictures in the link in the first post, you will see that there are friction wheels to bring the coaster train around most of the track. The top of the loop is the only part without wheels.
