  1. Justin Gavarnovic (hope I spelled that correctly), chairman of the European Coaster Club, has ridden Speedmonster and he said this about the ride: "FANTASTIC. Very smooth. First element works perfectly. Loads of airtime and g's " Only 9 days until I get to ride it...
  2. Are you talking about the Mondial Ultra Max? http://www.flatrides.com/Ride%20Index%20Pages/ultramax.html Those things looks insane!!!
  3. 4 rides without leaving my seat on Superman la Attracion de Acero made me a bit dizzy, but I have never gotten sick on a coaster. I have gotten a bit sick on flat rides though. I cant stand those Twister/Scrambler rides. I love Waltzers though. I once got on one when I was feeling sick and I came off feeling less sick.
  4. Erlebnispark Strasswalchen. It has trampolines, death slides and one INSANE PAX-coaster. What more could you want? The park manager is also a great guy!
  5. If you look at the spine it looks like theres a small gap between the supports. Thats what people are talking about. [/img]
  6. Looks like it has some crazy headchoppers judging from the first picture. I also love all those tiny little bunnyhills Hopefully I can make it to Finland some time....
  7. Balder. It is a very good coaster (my fav woodie actually but that doesnt say much), but I refuse to belive that its THE number one woodie. The airtime is strong, but at the same time its very gentle as it pushes you smoothly into your lapbar. The ride is to smooth in my opinion, and the layout is very repitive making it almost a bit dull. The turns are also quite lame. But still I think its a good coaster, and they probably couldnt have gotten anything better in that tiny space it occupies.
  8. http://www.wimp.com/biggestidiot/ Looks like the same guy being just as stupid
  9. Im not ashamed to say this, but Wild Train @ Erlebnispark Strasswalchen might be my favorite coaster. I have never ever laughed so much on a coaster! I rode it 37 times the day I was there and it never got boring. Such an amazing little ride! Its not bad for a 40ft tall coaster to beat coasters like Balder, Kanonen, Thundercoaster, Superman/Batman/Stunt Fall (Madrid), Katun, Nemesis Inferno, Colossus and all the other coasters I have ridden.
  10. ^Those are the 1st gen Vekoma looping coaster trains
  11. Ninja was built in 1989 (relocated to SFOG in 92). Millenium Rollercoaster was built in 1999. Btw, Ninja is also running Vekoma trains, but an older version. They are quite similar to the Arrow trains, but there is some small differences. The Arrow trains have a sharper nose section.
  12. I rode one of the bear themed rides today. Damn it was fun! Very easy to make it spin really fast
  13. I cant remember getting any airtime at all on the first drop on Magnus Colossus and I rode it the backseat. Take a look at this picture. The drop to the right is the second half of the double-down. It doesnt excactly scream 'airtime'... http://www.rcdb.com/ig1081.htm?picture=6 Its such a shame because its a fantastic location for a coaster and it really looks good but its so lame. Stengel and RCCA shouldnt be allowed to work together on wooden coasters....
  14. The new Eurofighter trains were already made to advertise Speed @ Oakwood so why not include them in the update?? This has nothing to do with the old trains not being good enough, this is a new train style that Gerstlauer made for Speed. The old trains which are excactly like those used on Vildsvinet and Typhoon will still be a part of NL.
  15. Terra Mitica is a fantastic looking park with some very average rides. Dont expect much from Magnus Colossus as its very rough and slow with no airtime. Tizona is.... well, its an SLC... They have an Intamin drop tower. They are always awesome! They also have one of those large Mondial Frisbee rides. I dont know how good it is as it was built after I was there. They also have several water rides which are pretty good. In my opinion its not worth going for the rides alone, but the theming and atmosphere is so amazing and makes the park worth visiting.
  16. I know that the intensity level of the S&S towers varies alot, but the two Turbo Drops I have been on were rather lame. Surely there is a short burst of ejector air at the top, but it starts moving at constant speed very quickly and the falling sensation is over. Thats why I prefer Intamin's drop towers, because they feel alot more out of control. The speed on the S&S towers is controlled, and you dont get the same intense feeling. The only S&S tower to impress me is the Spaceshot in Prater Park. It launched you 4 times and each launch gives some massive ejector airtime at the top.
  17. Colossus doesn't feel like its maintaned very good. It was running like crap when I rode it last summer. But the rest of the park seemed alright. Both Slammer and Detonator had breakdowns, but they were very short. I haven't been to any other parks in the UK so I don't really have much to compare it to there...
  18. Heres my list in the order I have visited the countries: Norway (doh) Denmark Spain Czech Republic Sweden England Hungary Austria Italy
  19. Its definately not Disney's fault as the ride is perfectly safe if you look at the number of riders. But I won't blame the individuals who lost their lives either, because they might not have known about their medical condition. So calling them stupid and saying that they didn't care about the warning signs is very wrong in my opinion when you dont know the entire story. It could be just a horrible accident where no one is to blame. Either way its a sad story...
  20. Actually they are excactly like the trains on Colossus. It even looks like it has the same hard, crappy restraints.
  21. Not very long judging from this video http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23943
  22. Remember that most of the people that go to Six Flags doesnt know that there are seven B:TR clones in the US.
  23. Im not sure if it has been mentioned, but check this out http://www.rcdb.com/id2880.htm Hello Kitty Angel Coaster
  24. I just downloaded the onride videos. Great videos as always! The Coaster Express video really made me laugh. I had a really bad ride on it when I rode it in 03. The transitions are of course smooth (doh, its designed by Stengel), but the trains are just vibrating so much. My stomach muscles were hurting like hell after spending a week on a trampoline with my young cousin, and when youre then exposed to 3-4G's and extreme vibrations at the same time its not very comfortable.
  25. Awesome trip report! I loved the park when I visited it in 2003. Three fantastic steel coasters! Where the trim brakes on Superman on when you rode it? Because they were not touching the train when I rode it in 03 and the airtime over the hill after the cobra roll was amazing! The funniest thing when I was there was the queues. Superman, Stunt Fall and Batman were all walk-on while Wild Wild West had a long queue. Spanish GP are weird I guess, because I have heard pretty much the same story from everyone who has visited the park. Yngve "hopefully I can go back there some time" Oestbye
