New shuttle coaster for Conny Land for 2007

B&M's I have ridden: Batman la Fuga Superman la Attracion de Acero Nemesis Inferno Katun Intamin's I have ridden: Balder Kanonen Colossus @ Thorpe Park Speedmonster Wild Train @ Erlebnispark Strasswalchen is the only PAX coaster I have ridden so I cant say that they are the "best company". I also think that their other coasters doesnt look quite as good. What makes Wild Train so fantastic though is that its *surprise* WILD! It throws you around like crazy, and the airtime is far more intense than on for example Balder. It may not be stronger, but you go from having your butt in your seat to being squeezed against your lapbar in a split second. Its just amazing! I like rides that feels a bit out-of-control, and thats where Intamin and B&M fails to deliver in my opinion. Dont get me wrong, I still think B&M's and most Intamin's are great rides, but not as good as Wild Train in my opinion. I couldnt ride Katun 37 times in one day without getting bored... -

Remember that its only concept-art. I would have been a bit unsure if I wanted to ride if Speedmonster ended up looking like this http://www.rcdb.com/ig3245.htm?picture=1 -

Me and a friend pushing the lapbar down on eachother while on the lifthill on Thundercoaster. We didnt get much airtime on that ride! -

PAX makes kiddie sized coasters that are more exciting than B&M's so I am a bit surprised that there isnt anyone over there. They seem to become more popular here in Europe, atleast with the smaller parks. I guess theyre quite cheap compared to the coasters made by "the big companies". -
Terra Mitica is a fantastic looking park, but it lacks a good coaster. I actually enjoyed Tizona when I rode it in 2003, but it was almost brand new, so it might have gotten rougher now. Magnus Colossus looks like a great coaster, but its built by RCCA so that means that its not allowed to be smooth and have any airtime at all. Not even on the double-down, because its far too stretched out. Its a shame because its an amazing location for a coaster...

Six Flags Canada

So when B&M made The Hulk it was unrealistic because it had a launch? Apollo's Chariot was unrealistic because it was B&M's first coaster without inversions? Top Thrill Dragster was unrealistic because it was the first of its kind? Youre arguments are very weak. Raging Bull @ SFGAM ends with a figure-eight element. This coaster only has a few more turns so its ridicilous to say thats unrealistic... -

Just because it havent been done, doesnt mean that its unrealistic. It would be really boring if everyone just made rides similar to real coasters... -

If youre travelling by airplane you do according to Norwegian's website But it doesnt matter because he has gotten his passport now and we have booked our flight to Stockholm on Thursday -
From all the coaster enthusiasts in Norway (I think theres atleast 2 of us): Have a wonderfull 21st birthday!

The S&S Screaming Swing at Thorpe Park didnt impress me at all, but there seems to be quite alot of people who loves those rides. I thought it felt too controlled, like many other S&S rides... Its definately fun, but I prefer rides that are more out-of-control. I guess thats why I dont find Balder as amazing as most other people, but thats another discussion...

Roller Coaster Break Downs

Another RCT breakdown here. Experienced a "Restraint stuck closed" on Wild Train @ Erlebnispark Strasswalchen. A mechanic had to go underneath the track in station and open the restraints manually. -

You should switch the word 'Europe' with Germany. England has great fairs too, but no large rollercoasters. I dont know much about the rest of Europe, but in Norway youre lucky to see a KMG Afterburner or a Move-it, which seems to be standard rides on American fairs. Maybe you should be grateful for what you have instead of focusing what you dont have.... -
But why havent Vekoma made more quality coasters in the last 10 years when they built quality coasters in the early 90's?? Of course there werent many of them, but there were some. Megablitz @ Prater Park is very smooth. It was built in 94 so its wrong to say that Vekoma only has started to build quality coasters the last few years. http://www.rcdb.com/id1094.htm

Thats definately a unique way for a wooden coaster to arrive at a park... -
The Vekoma coasters with outside-wheel design seems to run alot smoother than those with inside-wheels. Makes me wonder why Vekoma didnt use it more considering they started using outside-wheels already in the late 1980's. I have ridden Megablitz @ Prater Park, which was designed by Stengel and built by Vekoma in 94, and its still really smooth. If Vekoma had spent more time and money on their coasters Im sure people would have though of them as a 'quality' company. But instead they have offered cheaper coasters and thats probably one of the reasons why Vekoma have sold so many coasters.

Yeah I agree! I was actually supposed to go to Tusenfryd and Liseberg next week, but with the Banana Coaster down theres only one reason left to go to LB and thats Balder. I have been there before so if my friend gets his new passport soon were off to Gröna Lund instead.... And its all because of you...... -

The buildings looks pretty good, but your park has too much crazy colours in my opinion, which makes it look a bit cartoonish. Its not bad though, but I would use a little less colours on the buildings.. -
