  1. Why should you upload someone elses work on this site? If anyone really wants to see that track it can be found HERE Anyway, I prefer intense loops and inversions, but I also enjoy these so called 'forceless' coasters like Superman la Attracion de Acero.
  2. I have ridden two Turbo Drops, and three Spaceshots. Of those five S&S towers, the only good one I have ridden is the Spaceshot @ Wiener Prater. So I guess my vote goes to the Spaceshots..... That is so true. There is a quick acceleration at the top, then you move downwards at somewhat constant speed, and the feeling of falling is gone. They are almost like fast observation towers... Yngve "Give me an Intamin tower any day" Oestbye
  3. From www.vekoma.com : "Riders experience a launch from zero to 90 kilometers per hour in less than three seconds on our LSM (Linear Synchronic Motor) Launch Coasters."
  4. Those inversions are seriously undersupported....
  5. Fritt Fall Tilt @ Gröna Lund. 260 ft tall, with a standup floorless car that tilts forward while youre at the top.
  6. I refuse to vote as I have only ridden Volare @ Wiener Prater and it definately doesnt deserve to be at the top of someone's list...
  7. Im also one of those who feels that its not 'that' amazing, but everyone has their own opinions of things. And Im sure there are other topics which are more approtiate to discuss these things....
  8. Nice pictures, but you should really have ridden Megablitz as its by far the best coaster in the park. Its very smooth and those helixes are extremely powerfull. I think it was a great ride, unlike Super 8-bahn, which I thought was 'just alright'.... The Spaceshot is also great! Im not a big fan of S&S towers as they usually feel very controlled compared to the ones made by companies like Intamin and Fabbri. This S&S tower was really good though. It may be expensive, but you get 4 or 5 ride cycles and it has massive ejector airtime at the top. Of the 5 S&S towers I have ridden, this is the only great one.
  9. I would guess that you get pushed forward in your seat a little bit when you hit the bottom of the predrop, so it feels like the speed decreases before you start on the real drop.
  10. According to http://schwarzkopf.coaster.net/ , Mindbender pulls 6.78G's. It sounds extreme, but after looking at the videos I dont doubt it. The trains are really flying through those loops!!!
  11. When you look at the number of coasters with chain lifts opening and compare it to the number of launched coasters opening, theres not really much reason to be concerned. Its just that the launched coasters seems to get most of the attention....
  12. Just looking at Magnus Colossus in the last picture makes me sad. Such an awesome location, such a crappy coaster.....
  13. Excellent pictures! Its nice to hear that Thundercoaster wasnt running too bad, because it was absolutely horrible when I rode it a month ago. Those modifications youre talking about on Spaceshot, whats that? I seem to remember that it used to launch closer to the ground a few years ago, but I could be wrong. But I cant think of anything else that has changed. I dont visit Tusenfryd very often though.......
  14. I can understand that Terra Mitica might be struggling. The park is REALLY beatiful and its in an awesome location, but it doesnt have any unique rides that will make people visit the park over and over. Okay, Magnus Colossus might be unique, but damn that ride is boring..........
  15. http://www.funtime.com.au/data/index2.htm <- Pretty much all you need to know about Star Flyers. They spin pretty fast while they move up and down, but they dont have the wave effect that can be found on chairswings, so you probably wont get sick at all. Its just an amazing, relaxing (if youre comfortable with heights), wonderfull experience.
  16. ^When did Great Adventure retrack Hercules??? Anyway, Im sure we will see more of these wooden coasters in the future, because unlike the traditional wooden coasters, they dont end up as spine-adjusters after a few years of operation....
  17. That building looks really good, but like others, I think its a bit too small...
  18. Of those I have been on: Hullámvasút Hochschaubahn Katun Lisebergbanan Magnus Colossus
  19. I visited the park on a friday in july in 2003, which should be the busiest time of the year, and the only ride with a line was Wild Wild West (Coaster Express) until they added a second train. When we went to ride Stunt Fall there were like 4 people waiting to ride. People just stayed in their seats.... Every trip report I have read says excactly the same....
  20. The Screamin Squirrel at Gardaland didnt hurt, so I doubt this one will, unless the brakes realeses before the bottom of the drops to increase the speed through the flat turn. It looks very boring though....
  21. There are a few more parks with two CCI's: Silverwood Adventureland
  22. Heres the list of the 5 Ive been on: 1. Batman la Fuga 2. Katun 3. Nemesis Inferno 4. Tizona 5. Blue Tornado
  23. Yes, thats what I mean. It can be found on all real B&M inverted coasters.
  24. I have heard about something like that, but I dont see how it could happen. How would her hair make it all the way up to the locking mechanism when the car wasnt dropping? Even then it should be impossible... http://www.wimmerl.com/Coaster/Bilder/HeidePark/DSC01281.html
  25. Nice pictures! Looks like you had alot of fun at the fair. Those popcorn thingys are huge btw!! Did you eat all of it? I belive this is the ride youre looking for.
