  1. Yes, there is a button you push.
  2. Thanks, but here it is: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=30912
  3. ^What difference does it make? Anyway, here's a new list: Storm Runner Hydra Phoenix El Toro S:ROS (SFNE) X Maverick Mystery Mine Kentucky Rumbler Volcano Kumba (had to be freakin' closed when I was there) Nemesis Grand National Speed: No Fear EGF Balder Colossos Thunder Dolphin Crazy Mouse at Tobu Zoo (I have a fascination with really small loopers) Atomic Coaster
  4. ^Same here. I feel like it gets a bad rap sometimes because it is a clone. The ride is nuts though. It may be on the short side, but sometimes I don't always think that's a bad thing. Instead of dying out, it kicks you 'til the very end.
  5. ^You guys should. That'd be cool. I caught one of Lance's submissions yesterday. It's definitely a good idea. He's got a lot of interesting things to say. It'll be a cool new thing to check out.
  6. Haha! I do hope you are kidding. Anheuser-Busch and Herschend are just a couple of companies that come to mind long ahead of Cedar Fair. Cedar Fair isn't bad, but they are a long ways from being "definitely at the top of the major amusement park operators."
  7. I'm thrilled to see SFOG's Goliath debut in the top ten. I hope it can remain a top ten coaster in the future. It definitely deserves it. The one ride that still puzzles me is Top Gun at Carowinds. It's a good ride and all, but it's the worst B&M invert I've been on. It just didn't kick like all of the others. I know it's only 30th but I'm not sure if I even had it 30th on my list. No, just like it's not wrong for them to think Black Mamba is too high or that Expedition GeForce is better, because that's their opinion. To each his own.
  8. . You obviously missed my point. American Idol has always been popular. Nascar wasn't, much like how Six Flags isn't so popular at the moment to certain crowds. Cross-Marketing means exposure to different markets. Enough exposure tends to cause interest.
  9. This is a brilliant move in my opinion. With the Wii being as hugely popular as it is, this is one really good way to get your name thrown out there again. I think these cross-marketing plans they are doing, especially this one and the deal with Cold Stone, could do wonders for the park. Look at Nascar. They took a boring product, got it endorsed with "the official blah blah blah of Nascar" for every product known to man, and now it's wildly successful. Getting a bunch of big name companies to endorse your product can turn around anything.
  10. I can't help but feel this is a dumb move. It just seems like it would have been much more fitting at MIA. It's a smaller park with low capacity rides as it is. Having a huge coaster like this would have been great, and I bet it would be considered as having good capacity there. Depends on if you guys will be going on the weekend or through the week. I wouldn't really know for the weekend, but through the week, Italian Job is usually about 30 minutes and Face/Off is about 15 minutes. Flight of Fear tends to have one of the longest lines (45-60 minutes at least) because it's pretty much the best ride in the park and it's air-conditioned. Granted, these times may jump some with the extra attendance from X-Flight, which I can only nightmare about how long the line will be.
  11. The landscaping of this park looks really nice. And I'm so intrigued by the off-road go-karts/buggies! Those things look great. It's always nice to see relocated coasters get decent homes.
  12. Of the ones I've been on: Best: Dueling Dragons, by far Worst: Raptor
  13. LMAO!! I don't know why, but that just made me bust out. Anyway, to add to my happiness, I just moved a huge step closer to studying abroad this summer! Heck yes!
  14. "World Wide Suicide"- Pearl Jam
  15. This ride is starting to look really good. Not exactly. They are placing the initial boards where the track will go. Once they have finished the structure, they'll then start to actually "track" the ride, with the eight or so layers of boards followed by the metal strips of track.
  16. This is a win-win situation for me. The Bears are my favorite team so I'm going to be pretty disappointed if they lose, but I've grown up around the Colts and live in Indianapolis, so it's going to be nuts if we win. Hell, it was insane tonight when we won. You could hear screams from all over, people were celebrating in the snowy streets, and even fireworks were going off. It should be good no matter what. But come on SexyRexy and da Bears!!!
  17. Guys, everybody is just joking about blowing it up. Sure it would be fun, but it's not like anybody really expects it to happen. There's no point in getting so defensive about what kind of image it would cast on the park.
  18. The Bears are going to the Super Bowl!!!
  19. If it wasn't so blasted expensive to rent a car when you're under 25, then I'd probably make it out. But it's probably going to have to wait at least another year. Lookin' forward to the PTR though!
  20. Yeah, they did it on the mine train at Six Flags St. Louis, they have never heard a specific reason for removing them. As for your question, it's been discussed somewhere but I don't remember where. Hypothetically, putting stand up trains on Medusa probably wouldn't work. Medusa is designed to be heartlined for a train with sit down trains. Putting stand up trains on it would probably give it a bizarre experience. However, there is a Togo coaster in Japan that has both a sit down and stand up train, but it doesn't do anything terrible crazy, unlike most B&Ms.
  21. ^Well, for the record, I was obviously being sarcastic about suing, though my harness did come up. About five years ago, I was on Face/Off, and as we went up the second lift hill, I was riding in reverse, so all my weight fell forward onto the OTSR. Right when I fell on it, it popped open and the seat belt caught it. The train went all the way up the tower and then dropped, all while my harness was open. Then, once we started going into the loop, I was able to push myself back into the seat. The OTSR then locked back into place. They then shut the ride down for an hour and fixed it. It was quite the experience. That's why I'm a strong believer in having back-up seat belts for pretty much everything. I tend to get a bit uncomfortable when on major coasters that don't. Anyway, I don't mean to take this off topic.
  22. I love S&S towers, especially the combo towers, but it's hard to beat a genuine free fall for me. Especially a genuine stand-up free fall. So I have to go with Intamin.
  23. Wow, it's about time! I'm really impressed with how Shapiro is starting to run things. I'm getting pretty excited about his future changes. -Scott "now just bring those changes to SFKK and take out T2!" P.
  24. ^Yeah, let's hope so. Not only does it beat Starbucks in quality, it's a lot cheaper too. But no, it's not literally melted chocolate. It just tastes like it.
  25. Toledo is generally a popular one. It's the closest. Cleveland is a little further but not by much. Toledo is probably 50+ minutes away and Cleveland is probably about an hour at least.
