  1. Awesome PTR Scott! I wanna get back to Lake Winnie so bad this year. I love that place. But wait, did they take out the Orbiter and put Fly-O-Planes in it's place? I hope not. I can't wait to ride the Fly-O-Planes but the Orbiter is freakin' awesome.
  2. Thanks. I've been wondering why there haven't been more updates. It's disappointing, though not surprising at all. I was looking forward to hitting that park up this year.
  3. For me, there's a lot more wrong with T2 than just headbanging. The constant shuffling that jackhammers your back and makes you unable to have kids because of the leg divider does me in. It's nice to hear that the restraints are better for your head, but I still say take the thing down. Plus, I'll give the pads two months before they are ripped to shreds by guests.
  4. I just bought tickets to see The Format!!!
  5. This TR is awesome. I must say, Hong Kong Disneyland just doesn't get it done for me. I know it hasn't been around long, but it just seems to be lacking so much. I feel immersed in another world at WDW, but HKD just seems to have a lot of open spaces.

  7. I don't know what's worse; the fact that we've gotten to a point to have a "lock down" drill, or that teachers need drills to practice locking a door.
  8. I campaign that we just give obviously crazy people like this a life sentence in a mental institution. I'm serious. I'll take the tax hike. I don't care. People are friggin' crazy.
  9. Is this for serious? I thought the off-season was over. We can talk about real topics now.
  10. Wow, that thing is so bizarre, but fun looking. Its so short though. Makes me wonder how big they are thinking about making one of these some day.
  11. Quake, the Vekoma Waikiki Wave that used to be at SFKK that was replaced for a crappy, generic water slide. What a freakin' awesome ride. Honorable mentions: -Shockwave, SFGAm -Phantom Theater, KI
  12. When I was 9, I fully understood how dangerous crocs were and I am yet to see one in Indiana. But yeah, I get what you are saying. Maybe they aren't taught about them or something.
  13. Sounds pretty sweet, but I'm just way too curious on what exactly the ride is going to be now.
  14. Awesome PTR Joe! This really makes me miss Dollywood. I might have to bump it up in my summer schedule now. What was the orgasm in a bag?
  15. The official top speed is 93 mph. The designed speed was 92 mph, so pretty much all of their shirts and info from 2000 has 92 on it. However, when Steel Dragon 2000 opened, CP hired a company to officially measure the top speed and heigh of MF (likely in an attempt to keep the world record) and it was determined that it's top speed is 93 mph. So, ever since then, everything has 93 mph on it or listed. And to confirm my coaster nerdness, here's the article taken from ultimaterollercoaster.com, which for whatever reason I have remembered through the years: http://www.ultimaterollercoaster.com/news/archives/august00/stories/082100_02.shtml
  16. Am I the only one that thinks pigs will fly before a Disney park is built in Missouri? I know Branson is a pretty big deal and all, but I just don't see this coming to frusion. Yeah, it's all rumor right now, but I just don't see it happening.
  17. I've heard about that. Looks like a pretty sweet deal. My high school did something similar but they usually took us to either KI, SFStL, or SFKK. I can see what you mean about Stitch, but I kind of liked it. I feel like it was lacking for a Disney ride, but still fun and enjoyable. Makes me wonder what the old Alien Encounter used to be like.
  18. Though I love how Dollywood has used the hills to its advantage, how CP is on a Peninsula, and just the overall usage of BGE's land, I don't think you're going to find any place better than Ocean Park when it comes to setting.
  19. 1. Raptor 2. Millennium Force 3. Top Thrill Dragster 4. Wicked Twister 5. Magnum XL-200 6. Mantis 7. Gemini Raptor definitely reigns on top. I love MF, but the intensity of Raptor is just insane.
  20. Take the money, go to college, and do the Disney College Program in a year or so. Its a win-win situation. You get the money and you get to work at Disney. I know quite a few people who have done it and they love it.
  21. I'm honestly afraid to ride it with G-trains. I don't mind them on an out-and-back coaster so much. Its when they hit the turns that it really sucks. I probably wouldn't mind them if they just redesigned the lap bars so that they don't break your femurs.
  22. Thanks Jeff. I wish I could make it but I have previous plans. I'll be visiting Beech Bend this summer though to finally try out Rumbler.
  23. Not to sound insensitive in this time of tragedy, but the media is really driving me nuts right now. A few details have come in about the gunman from today's massacre at Virginia Tech. They keep reporting that he is a 19 year old "Asian man". It was an "Asian man". Seriously, what difference does that make? What does it contribute? I feel like being informed that he is 19 years old at least has a little point to it, like, that he's probably a student. However, the fact that he's Asian does jack at this point. I can't imagine them saying, "Again, it is a 19 year old white man." Maybe, but doubtful. All they are doing is creating the possibility of stereotyping and prejudice/racism. It's really ridiculous. Anyway, sorry about that rant. This really is an awful tragedy. Its stunning. I wish I had more to say, but I don't right now. It's just awful. Really messed up that somebody would do this.
  24. PKI Man JZ, I went to SFKK a few years ago on spring break and the lines weren't much of anything. You shouldn't have anything to worry about, really. If you decide to brave T2, I suggest trying to keep yourself pushed back if you want to have kids one day. The park is definitely doable in three hours, especially if you go on a weekday. As far as which park to sacrifice, I think you could go for either. There isn't a great deal to do at Beech Bend and I personally think two days at HW is way too much. If you like water parks a lot, then you might be able to stretch it to two days, but even then I think you'll be hard pressed to stretch it that much.
