njcoasterguy34
I can't speak for weekday crowds, but I just got back from a full day there today (Sunday). The parking lot seemed quite full when I pulled in at around 11:30am, but the lines for most of the rides didn't seem that bad. The longest wait I had was for Impulse at a little over an hour. I got three rides on Phoenix. I can't rave enough about that coaster. I ended up buying 3 books of $20 worth of tickets. I still have $15 worth of tickets left. I rode Flying Turns and actually had a better ride than the one I had when I visited the park back in May. It could be because I was in the front car this time. Physical
Went for the first time yesterday, parking lot looked crowded, but lines were very short. Longest wait was 35-40 minutes for Flying Turns. Impulse was about a 15 minute wait during the day, and <5 minute wait at night (around 9:30PM, hopped on it on the way out) Â I gotta say, this park has some seriously crazy flat rides, everything felt like it was turned up to 11. Downdraft spun so fast that it felt fake. I can see why people love this park, we went in expecting to spend a few hours there, after spending an entire day, I'm ready to go back for more. Â The flyers lived up to the hype, unfortunately most of the day the op that was there would run it full speed for about 45 seconds, then turn it down to around half speed for the rest of the cycle, regardless if people were snapping or not. We managed to get two cycles when a different op was on, and he put it on full speed the entire time. My back is still sore from some of the snaps I was getting. Â Phoenix truly is something else, it looks too unassuming to provide airtime like that, but after the first ride, I walked off saying "WOW." Â What's everyone's favorate rides there? We hit all the majors, and most of the flat rides, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's something we glossed over thinking it wasn't that good. Every single ride we got on blew us away. njcoasterguy34
I love the park. I just wish it wasn't a three hour drive for me. Having $15 in tickets left is a good excuse to go back, though.
Brassinthegrass
It really is one of my favorites, and I do everything I can to find a reason to go... It's really amazing how great Pheonix and Twister make as a one two punch from wooden coasters... They are both so good, for two totally different reasons! coasterbill
Woah wait... we're gushing over Knoebels again? I want in on this. Â Downdraft spun so fast that it felt fake. Â Every time I ride Downdraft (which is a lot) it just makes me wonder why every park in America doesn't have one of these. It's a ton of fun. Rai Fox
Just got back from the park yesterday. Power Surge still MIA (Disappointing, they'd said they hoped to have it back in July), but there are cranes and lifts around 1001 Nachts...maybe they finally got their Parts from Europe for it? AirMBTB
I love the park. I just wish it wasn't a three hour drive for me. Â I'll trade ya! You can have my 12 hour drive and SF Great America Either way, Knoebels is worth the drive. Looking forward to PPP!
DILinator
Hey guys! I've been trying to find details such as cost, registration deadlines, and all of that for PPP, but can't find any info on the Knoebels site, or anywhere else, for that matter. I thought I saw that info at some point, but can't locate it now. Could anybody either steer me in the right direction, or give me that info personally? Thanks! Â (I do know that it's an enthusiast event, and you have to part of a participating club. I got that much down! )

It is basically open to the public so all you need to do is show up and just purchase your ride wristband for that night. They also have a flea market sale where you can buy/sell tons of park/coaster merchandise (I think I might sell some stuff as I have quite a few maps/brochures that I should get ride of), and a costume contest. They seem to be doing a preview event this year on Friday, which seems to be for coaster club members only though. That includes 2 hours of ERT on Impulse and a local Elysburg haunted house. I can't imagine that they would cost a lot of money and you are correct...they really are a ton of fun!

mpmbee
Went to the park today for the first time, whoever it was suggested we squeeze it into our trip, Thankyou! We didn't get to the park till sixish after driving from Cedar Point but stayed till close. After spending the last two weeks visiting Six Flags, Carowinds, Cedar Point etc arriving at Knoebels felt like a real culture shock! loved the laid back feel of the park. Â Phoenix was fantastic, the most insane ejector airtime I've experienced (Skyrush is coming up tomorrow though ) Absolutely loved this coaster, one of my favourites of the trip. Twister was great fun too, real strong lateral forces throughout. Also rode the flyers which were awesome, much better than any others that I've tried. Also had about twice as long a cycle as any others I've been on too. The final ride was a night ride on Impulse, which was about a thirty minute wait. Good ride! A perfect steel coaster to compliment the two woodies I thought. Â Hope to get back here for a longer period than four hours sometime in the future, so glad we squeezed it into the trip instead of doing the preview night thing at Hersheypark. Rai Fox
According to the park's twitter account, after it's very extended downtime, 1001 Nachts is finally up and running again (and looking pretty good from the short video they posted!). boldikus
I found this nice PBS documentary on Knoebels. Not sure if it's been posted but I couldn't find it anywhere. coasterbill
Now that's just a ridiculous assumption and honestly I'm a little offended by that. Â Â Â Â Â Â ... I'm offended that you think I'd have a porn folder named porn. Everyone knows if you have a porn folder you need to name it "Proposals for Work" or "Archived Files", you don't name it porn. Give me a little credit, lol.
Guy T. Koepp
^All my porn is filed under the file name, "All my porn" In fact, I have a 2TB seagate drive with, "My Porn." in sharpie on the side of it. michaellynn4
Could locals or anyone with September visits under their belts let me know what they think crowds would be like the weekend of the 12th? I might be planning a visit but am unsure if it'll be busy. I might just wait until next year.
robbalvey
Phoenix Phall Phunfest has expanded to TWO DAYS with the first evening ERT open ONLY to club members! Click for Details: http://www.knoebels.com/plan-your-visit/events/phoenix-phall-phunfest/phoenix-phall-phunfest-submissions~form.aspx  Club TPR Members are able to purchase tickets! If you're not a Club TPR Member, you can join here: www.clubtpr.com  Check out this email we just got from Knoebel's about this year's event!  I just wanted to reach out to provide some info for this year’s Phoenix Phall Phunfest on October 9-10! Something you might notice as out of the ordinary for PPP is an exclusive Friday night event. Because we can’t open this event (which includes ERT on Impulse and light refreshments) to the general public, pre–registration is required for this year’s event. You can find more info and the registration form here: www.knoebels.com/phunfest.  Ride packages are available to the general public. However, the Phunfest package is available to only card-carrying members of pre-approved enthusiast groups (which is why you received this email), and add: the Impulse Exclusive Event on Friday evening, two slices of Cesari's Pizza, a soft drink, a game ticket and a Haunted Mansion ticket. We're excited for our PPP friends to experience a fun-filled Friday evening event in addition to the always-thrilling Saturday events, and are happy to answer any questions you or any other members of your group might have!  Please feel free to share this information with anyone in your group!  Hopefully see you in October! ThatFalafelGirl
Hey Everybody! Â Has anyone stayed at the cottages on property? I haven't found a whole lot of information about them- just the little Knoebel's offers on their site. Â Â Cheers, Falafel
Physical
Anybody have any idea how crowded PPP will be this year? Â Going for the first time, but I'd like to get some ride time in before the crowds surge in.
