BenFreeze Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Wow, a coaster that goes forward and back again? That's un-heard of!
Ed Farmer Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Wow, a coaster that goes forward and back again? That's un-heard of! You could probably find people waiting in line for Freeze- probably even a handful that have already ridden Freeze- that would be surprised if you told them it does just that.
3Mutts Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 ^^ More importantly its what Thrill Seekers love! Even though its a Boomerang, it does have a unique location in the park as I don't know of any other Boomerang that goes above a small clift.
Zcev5454 Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 All of the coaster's parts have arrived, including the trains, and park officials have confirmed that they will be using the old trains via the Facebook page. Colors are still yet to be determined.
JonnyRCT3 Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Why can't Scream @SFMM get relocated here? It would be a blessing for both parks.
mike_kelly Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Here is the same trailer full of piece parked in Springfield, MO.. It makes me sad that they won't at least buy new trains... They should just name it Booooomerang...

Sammy* Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 I don't see why they are openning this ride in June. Considering all the footer are completed. The track work at supports for this should take no longer than 6 days to complete. And the old train are in terrible condition, I guess they feel its to much to have premier make some trains as they did goliath last year.
ArizonaGuy Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Aren't they going to have to modify the lift supports because of hill that it's going to be sitting on?
Zcev5454 Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Aren't they going to have to modify the lift supports because of hill that it's going to be sitting on? Probably. I know they did some blasting, but that was just for the base section I think.
larrygator Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Let me get this right. People are bitching that they are "only" getting a crappy Boomerang and saying it is not even worth riding, but are then complaining that it won't open earlier in the season.
SharkTums Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 ^LOL! I just keep wondering why I see this thread getting so much action!?!? I mean, it's SFStL and a Boomerang?!!? Is there really that much to talk about?
Joe Cool Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 ^LOL! I just keep wondering why I see this thread getting so much action!?!? I mean, it's SFStL and a Boomerang?!!? Is there really that much to talk about?
Rollercoaster Rider Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 ^LOL! I just keep wondering why I see this thread getting so much action!?!? I mean, it's SFStL and a Boomerang?!!? Is there really that much to talk about? I guess Six Flags' marketing is Working.

I just keep wondering why I see this thread getting so much action!?!? I mean, it's SFStL and a Boomerang?!!? Is there really that much to talk about? People would rather talk about something this insignificant, than nothing at all. For SFSTL this is somewhat of a big (disappointment) deal.
Zcev5454 Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 I like the idea of getting a boomerang, and always have. Sure, there are way better alternatives, but there are also good things to come of this. Now that SFSTL can market their park as the "Coaster Capitol of Missouri," an attendance boost is sure to come. This is better than getting nothing at all, and those bumper cars always had problems with the leaky roof and old carts.
3Mutts Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Just wondering, but since they are using the old trains and Arrow parts are becoming more and more rare, does this mean Ninja will be on its way out soon so the trains can become part doners for Boomerang......
Rollercoaster Rider Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Just wondering, but since they are using the old trains and Arrow parts are becoming more and more rare, does this mean Ninja will be on its way out soon so the trains can become part doners for Boomerang...... In my perfect world, The trains would get scrapped and new Carolina Cobra like trains would replace them.
SFZIP Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Ninja has a 3rd train that is already a parts donor and I believe that the Boomerang train is identical to Ninja's, so parts could come from that 3rd train for both rides. I think somebody said that SFOT has an extra Arrow train as well (I think it came from Flashback at SFNE whenever it was moved from SFKK, since that ride got a new train when it was moved), so it could also be used for parts for Boomerang (which is probably why it's in Texas in the first place). In some other park news, Superman: Tower Of Power will be repainted soon and should be done before opening day. Six Flags could have already marketed the park as the "Coaster Capitol of Missouri" if they wanted to, SFSL has had more roller coasters than WOF for quite a while, and has always had more than SDC.
therick311 Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 I think they could even use Ninja's 2nd train for parts. When was the last time that ride wasn't a walk on?
Zcev5454 Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 ^ fright fest last year. A 30 minute wait.
therick311 Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 ^ I see. I haven't been to Fright Fest in ages. But even still, Ninja with 1 train wouldn't be any worse than the capacity of say, I don't know, a boomerang.
IronWolfman Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Another thing on Ninja's trains, isn't some of GASM's or Shockwave (SFGAm)'s trains located under Batman(?) with the trains from Twisted Twins/Mega Zeph?
3Mutts Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 ^ That is Ninjas third train which has been under there for quite some time. Shockwaves trains went to SFMM to be used on Viper and SFGADV to be used on GASM, GASM trains went to SFMM to be used up on Viper.
