  1. Insanity alley is in the garden area, in that building. Not sure about Slaughterhouse, but blind fury has it in the second half.
  2. LLDoD, Zumanjaro, etc??? They're pretty much lap bars that just lower over your head.
  3. That really surprised me, are we sure media day is still on for tomorrow? It seems like they really don't want to commit to anything. I would be screaming an opening day to any one that would listen. Yes, I've seen on multiple news channels that coverage starts at 4 AM. Also, Sally has posted a picture of the podium on a small stage in front of the ride. For another treat, the ride should be open Sunday for park goers as the tweet below it confirms.
  4. Since it will most likely rain for the next few days, does anyone have any suggestions for what to do in Branson outside of the park? Any favorite shows or other attractions would be helpful!
  5. -Opened in 2007 -Originally Tony Hawk's Big Spin - Has been upgraded with moving station (moves at around 6 inches per second) Next: Powder Keg- Silver Dollar City
  6. Both have a Vekoma Boomerang. Islands of Adventure & Holiday World
  7. ^ The shaking cage in Slaughter House still works! I did it last weekend and it was still really intense with the shocking bolts of electricity across the top!
  8. Just a thought, as there is only 7 cars, while in Scooby-Doo, there are about 20 boats (at full capacity). Scooby-Doo has not run that many boats in YEARS. Actually, Scooby normally runs anywhere from 14-16 boats this year. If I remember correctly, at the beginning of this season, it started off with somewhere around 18-20 boats but has dwindled down to around 15 on average.
  9. Saw the advertisement for this in the park today. I wasn't thrilled with the name "Total Darkness," and to me, this is another step backwards.
  10. My first thought to this picture posted by the park on twitter- some sort of hunting/duck dynasty dark ride? That could be cool though, with something similar to Gobbler Getaway at Holiday World. I feel as though this picture is just messing with us, but the marketing team is really doing fantastic on teasing the new additions!
  11. ^ From what I've noticed, it gets a little slower on the weekends in August/September until fright Fest starts.
  12. This time of year (July) has fairly large crowds every day of the week until the park goes down to weekend only operation. With that being said, Tuesdays through Thursdays have the shortest lines. Remains of rides include the old skyway footers behind Panda Express, the "boneyard" of old ride parts just west of Tidal Wave and Screamin Eagle, and possibly the Insanity Alley Fright Fest maze north of the "spaghetti bowl" of track for Batman. I would definitely get there at opening and go straight to the back of the park and work your way forward. If you end up going to Hurricane Harbor, I would get there at opening to beat the lines on Big Kahuna and Tornado that come about later in the day. As for the "magic seats," The Boss and Screamin Eagle in the front row will kill some of the roughness, Ninja and American Thunder in the back for airtime, and Pandemonium with an unbalanced car for serious spins. Have a great trip!
  13. Headed to the park for the first time today, does anyone have any tips on where to ride the coasters, what things not to miss, or how to get around the park easier? Thanks in advance.
  14. The Tornado Wave is the single wall you slide up with a completely different experience, and in my opinion is much more thrilling than the original Tornado.
  15. Thanks! I'm headed there sometime later this month, whenever I get the time. Does anyone have any advice on what order to do the rides, and different experiences than SFStl or other area parks? I also plan on getting the Gold Flash Pass.
  16. For those that have ridden goliath, how tight are the restraints compared to B:TR or the old Premier LIMs (Mr Freeze, FoF)? Thanks
  17. This Thursday the 10th is the newly announced opening date for the slide!
  18. Not to break the current topic, but I will be taking a trip to Holliday World and Splashin Safari soon. Does anyone have any tips for where to ride on the coasters, ways to avoid the crowd, where to eat, etc.? Thanks in advance!
  19. Here's a pretty interesting video on the design process of the slide: http://youtu.be/z_U2NoG1Lag
  20. Ninja has got some serious ejector airtime on the first drop in the last car. I'd have to say that that force is probably stronger than most (if not all) of the other moments on the other coasters.
