B-RadG Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Anaconda at King's Dominion when I was 5. I chickened out on the first attempt, but due to a threat from my mother about never coming back I quickly hustled myself back into line
ethans_dad06 Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Mine was montezumas revenge. I thought that ride was was godsend when I rode it! LOL man that was a long time ago!
Em-Z Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Mine was Wild Thing at Wild Waves, it's an Arrow loop/corkscrew.
Wild 1 Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Sooperduperlooper at Hershey park. The loop is great but after that it becomes a big mine train.
expeditioneverestfan Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 My first was Rock N' Roller Coaster. Before I went on it I didn't know it had inversions and when I was on the ride I barely noticed I was upside down.
ragerunner Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Wabash Cannonball, Opryland USA Man, I miss that park.
Tbcoasterfan Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 My first looping coaster was Vortex at Kings Island. Nothing like 6 loops to start you off right? Then next was King Cobra standing up! I thought that was pretty sweet in middle school lol.
vekoma_fan Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Mine was Loopen, at Tusenfryd.. I was crying the first time, and when the train came back to the station I didn't wanted to leave my seat, I just wanted to go over and over and over again... 13 years later, I can now see that a vekoma really F**ked me up.
rapmaverick Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Raptor was not my first coaster with inversions it was also my first coaster ever which started in 2000
Kalepi_Konei Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Dueling Dragons - Ice - Islands Of Adventure. I remember I was going to ride the Hulk first, but the launch seemed to scary, so I thought doing the Dragons would be easier, but it turned out, I liked Hulk alot more.
YFWE Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Unless I'm mistaken, I believe it was Vortex at Kings Island when I was about eight or nine.
Zack44 Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Either GASM or Batman: The Ride at Six Flags Great Adventure, I forget.
Allena.k.a.Alan Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Dragon Fire at Canada's Wonderland, the first adult-sized coaster I've ever ridden.
cal1br3tto Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 California Screamin'. It was my seventh coaster credit, and the most traumatizing coaster ride I have ever been on. Not because of the ride, but because I was scared. And I didn't know it went upside-down until I saw the warning sign...that was not good for my nerves.
trcg721 Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 I don't remember if I ever posted in here, buy my first coaster with inversions was Viper at SFMM!
sros1fan Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 My first inversion coaster was Black Widow at Riverside Park its first year of operation.
ArizonaGuy Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 My first coaster with an inversion was Viper at SFAW. I was so scared when i first rode it but I got off the ride and went back to the entrance and got on again. After that.......Ultra Twister. May these coasters Rust in Pieces.
Voyage_freak Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 it was back in 81 when they opened the Jetscream at Six Flags Over Mid America (SFSTL)

I need to quote this because that was an almost identical experience to my first time on Screamin', except I knew the loop was there

I was excited to ride it but had no idea that it had an inversion until I also saw the warning sign. I have been hooked ever since though.
The Disneylander Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Mine was Boomerang at KBF-otherwise known as the worst Boomerang on the face of the Earth. God knows how I got addicted to coasters after riding THAT debacle of a roller coaster.
Emiroo Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Patriot at Worlds of Fun....this year! It took me 20 years to get up the nerve to ride a coaster with inversions. I had a serious phobia of it. I've been riding any non-inverting coaster I can get to without a problem for as long as I can remember. But watching a coaster invert freaked me out. I tried to beat it forever but took a ton of "chicken exits" and actually had full-fledged panic attacks in queues a few times. I missed a great opportunity to conquer this fear 2 years ago (empty train, no wait ERT) and chickened out again. Well for 2 years I really regretted it and beat myself up over it so when a similar opportunity presented itself this year, I said "F*** It" and hopped on front row left seat. I LOVED IT! I rode it 5 times in a row! Then I went over and rode Boomerang 3 times. There's nothing I won't get on now. I feel free!
