Hagrid's Hut

An authentic replica from the Harry Potter films, guests will pass by Hagrid's hut on their way to the Flight of the Hippogriff family-friendly roller coaster. Where were they when they were walking up stairs? Hogwarts?

I thought it looked pretty awesome! I think the kids were the boring part of the video! The only thing that worries me was what I think is the maintainance bay for HP towering in the background when they were exiting the Unicor... Hippogriff. Aside from that though.. wow!

Yeah pretty sure those stairs were in Hogwarts.

Wondering by that video how close people will get to the stuff in Dumbledore's office?

Those ungrateful, little, sh!ts get the experience of a lifetime and they just act like they don't want to be there. They won't remember it in five years! Ellen needs to take older 'fans'.

I wonder which major corporate leader is their father...since only big name official's kids aka 'fans' get to do this stuff.

They are so lucky and didn't even care.

/rant.

EDIT: Oops, there was another page. Sorry!

^^ Kind of agree. Also, I love Ellen, shes just so likeable, and it actually made me laugh out loud when she pulled out the butterbeer flask. Also, I wish we could have seen the effects on Flight of the Hippogriff, does anyone know if they are going to implement the bowing yet? I personally think it would be kind of silly, but it would add to the experience.

Ellen pulling out the flask was absolutely mint! Maybe it was just me, but it had just a tiny, and I mean tiny bit of dark humour. As for WWoHP, I was kind of skeptical about it too, seeing as I wasn't ever a fan...except for the bits with Barty Crouch jr (sorry for the quick David Tenant man-crush).

Funny I read through about 40 similar comments on youtube....

I think the Ellen bit was great but after all the area is geared towards those kids age group and they can't take everyone jeez...

Plus they probably picked them from the folks who were at the park that day.. were you?

Just be happy they did give us this nice preview

You guys complaining about the kids' enthusiasm also have to remember they probably did multiple takes and multiple gags that ended up on the cutting room floor. The crux of the piece was Ellen doing goofy stuff in the land, not necessarily the reactions of the kids to the land. The kids merely acted as a "straight man" (lolpun) to Ellen's jokes and bits. They were probably shown around the land before the cameras even rolled. To be angry that they weren't overly enthusiastic based off an edited comedy piece is a bit off.

I am sure some of you have seen this but i just came across it...

An episode on Central Florida on Demand which talks about the new Harry Potter area and some of the history of IOA which aired back in July.

Features some great info on the ride, a few Hot Harry Potter Enthusiasts, some not so hot Harry Potter Enthusiasts, and a spot which shows TPR...

Some interesting stuff even if it is a bit dated.

Enjoy

Keep in mind, Harry Potter is a kids book! It's not Lord of the ringy dingy ding-a-ling dings. Hell, it's aimed at an audience lower than Twilight. It's Scholastic and it's for the middle school age kids. Of course people that grew up with the series are some of its biggest fans making them 20-ish year olds, but Harry Potter is still a kids series!

And to be fair, the kids in this video showed more excitement than I ever will for this new island.

I disagree. The first ones, sure. But as they went on the were very lengthy and verbose reads (and highly entertaining).

Also, I hate when things are called "kids" anything like other people can't enjoy them. I refuse to call animated movies "kids movies" even when other people bring them up as such.

And the targeted audience isn't always the one that is most attracted.
