That means we're nearly 1 month to the opening for Six Flags to finally bring its theme park to the Middle East after nearly 20 years in the making (include two failed Dubai projects and a failed Qatar project).

Open daily at 4pm???

You wanna go hang out in a sun-drenched desert valley all day where the temps reach 120+ on the regular?  No sir. I spent nearly a decade in Vegas.  Desert life is an indoor and nighttime life.

4pm seems a bit odd right now when highs for the day are 70s and 80s.

Most likely the reason why: due to the kingdom's scorching heat.

There were a lot of places in Vietnam that ran only in evenings/late afternoons because of heat and humidity. All the outdoor markets usualy were only fully open at night.

Celsius 70-80  is Fahrenheit  158-176.  Some facts: The highest recorded air temperature on Earth is 56.7 °C (134.1 °F), measured on July 10, 1913, in Furnace Creek, Death Valley, California.

No. It's not Celsius. He was probably quoting the LOW temps at night.

Would you look at that the high today is 74 but the air quality is very unhealthy. Not sure what that means in terms of being out side.

The weather seems made ups looks like Ohio weather in early summer later spring.

Says average afternoon temps for this time of year are in the 70's. Although heat will play into it in the warm months, I'm sure, I wonder if this is just a business decision. Like Garet said, it's not unusual in other countries. I remember seeing weird hours on a lot of TPR reviews... when people used to be active here.

And we got footage of people actually riding it
Somehow it's real

I still can't believe this has actually happened. Any of it, but somehow it is.

While the stats are insane and no doubt it'll be quite an experience still not sure how good it'll really be but yeah, they did it. Good to have infinite oil money and no need to be profitable etc lol

Park looks nice.  I'm going to try and visit next fall.

Still undecided on that (granted it wouldnt even be in the cards until 2027 anyway) but I sure as hell am looking forward to reviews, photos and POVs

The fact this all has happened is insane!

Two days left to grand opening which is still to happen. Six Flags have now finally brought a theme park to the middle east and it worked after three failed attempts to bring it to the region including UAE in Dubai (tried to bring it to Dubai twice) and Qatar in Lusail.

They just spent one of their smaller US park's year's budget on fireworks for this park, smh

Good to have the infinite oil money cheat code enabled

I will likely never visit (for a multitude of reasons), or at least not for a very long time, but I cannot help but geek out over Falcon's Flight from a technical standpoint. I remember seeing the original announcement and thinking it would never get built. The fact that it actually exists and is operating is absolutely wild. It seems like a sandbox fantasy NoLimits or Planet Coaster creation.

Also slightly less talked about, but Iron Rattler also looks amazing. Is this Vekoma's biggest coaster?

Yeah I've been giving it (probably way too much) thought, I do think I've decided I will also never visit (same for the UAE shame bc Formula Rossa) BUT I hold no judgement to whoever does, it's a strictly personal choice and not anything I intend to ever get into. I as well am loving the videos and reports, and this place is bonkers. Yes, not only did it actually happen but you nailed it: the ridiculously insane no limits creations people made have actually been done IRL!!! Good to have the infinite oil money cheat code enabled 🤣 but for real I'm envious, my dream would be to have some publicly owned/funded park here that can just build without restraint.

Same, Iron Rattler looks amazing my mind was blown. Colossus also looked sick (yeah "just" a woodie but I love a relentless intense wooden coaster) those two seem like better rides in my book than even Falcon's Flight (which still is absolutely insane)

Screw it. You're already supporting them every time you drive your car.

I stopped paying attention to the outspoken mentality from businesses, corporations, and even some religions. There are so many anti-cop and anti-Christian organizations out there that it's exhausting to try to pay attention. I'm still benefitting the individuals working at these places who have nothing against me personally. I support the individuals who have jobs and lives.

I suppose I've dealt with enough people who literally want me dead that people who are outspoken against me or my way of life don't bother me. It doesn't matter anyway, since a roller coaster isn't enough to get me to board a miserable intercontinental flight.
