australianalex
On TPR's Superman Escape (Warner Bros Movieworld) POV this is the most thrilling and amazing roller coaster i have EVER been on lol you havn't been on many good coasters then huh ? first of all, ya i have. second of all i haven't been to america. third of all it is amazing and u obviously haven't been on it before. jeez some people r so annoying lol i have there's no loop and it's too short it's good for little kids though no need to get defensive im just stating my opinion Because an Intamin Accelerator is fully a ride for little kids, I'm sure that's what Movieworld were going for. If they'd wanted a thrill ride they clearly would've put a loop in it.
simaticable
On a video of SFOG's Goliath: This is now the oldest Six Flags since Astroworld closed SFOT, La Ronde, Great Escape, and SFNE would like to talk to you!
Ace Of Spades
From the TPR Leviathan video:They just copied the Griffon from Busch Gardens, Va Wut. "Because it's blue and tall and has similar track." I guarantee you that's their reasoning.
Angry_Gumball
Alrighty, heard some great ones today. Waiting in line for CGA's flying scooters, their enterprise ride behind me, guests discussing it - ride in vertical position in action: "See, it's like a sideways Ferris Wheel!" Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't Ferris Wheels vertical also? Sure he could have been referring to the ride in its idle position but the time he had said it, pointed at it and the ride doing its cycle, it's safe to say this is a GP comment/bad description. Riding the park's carousel, a parent is standing next to a horse, supporting their toddler on a horse. Normal, right? Well mid cycle, she gets tired of standing, takes her kid off and walks about 10 feet to one of the benches. To me, it's kind of a bad idea to be carrying a child while on a moving turntable...if she lost her balance and fell, then it would suddenly be the park's fault. Honestly, she should have either stayed there with the kid or if she knew the kid wouldn't be comfortable to sit there for a long period, should have just went to a bench. The father on the other hand, towards the end of the cycle decided to put his foot into the foot holes on 1 side and hop up while his kid was on there...while he was hanging onto the pole with both hands...now if the kid had fallen off and/or the father injured himself...it would then suddenly become the park's fault thus leading to the future of carousels requiring OTSR's. As Cedar Fair has rolled out their new Fast Lane system, a system that uses an alternate path that meets up at the station, some guests (without the required Fast Lane wristbands) attempted to use Flight Deck's path to get up into the station, only to be caught and called out over the speaker. Realistically they won't get anywhere anyway as there's an usher at the station entry to regulate flow into the station and assign people to an empty row. Regardless, I'm sure we'll see more in the future. Lastly riding Grizzly. First off the ride's been doing this slight pause going up the lift, and resuming its way up. The riders behind me during the ride were then chanting for the ride to get stuck...like that's going to work, like the ride will suddenly pause mid-course and completely defy physics. In the brake run, you get a clear view of the lift...only to hear them say "Oh, only the chain can get you stuck." Well, you can say that's a start for them picking up simple logic sans the horrible explanation they gave.
CorkscrewFoley
I was just watching a POV of Knightmare from Camelot, and one of the posters said 'it's just like Raging bull, but it's rusty.' Sorry, I could've posted it like he did, but that kind of illiteracy simply irks me.
ilrider
Watching X-Flight testing with water dummies only on it yesterday, a woman near me said to her boyfriend, "Look, there are people on it!" Sure, and I suppose all that screaming was coming from those headless, legless, armless dummies.
australianalex
On a video of the Claw at Dreamworld: Oh man Lucky Australians.. F*** ! I'm from germany and I really want to go on this So you live in a country where you have Europa Park - one of the top parks in the world, Expedition Geforce - one of the top steel coasters in the world, and Colossos - one of the top wooden coasters in the world. Just a couple hours drive from where you in different European countries, you can go on one of the top inverted coasters in the world at Mirabilandia, or one of the top steel coasters in the world at Walibi World. Yet you call us here in Australia lucky because we have some Gyro Swing, when we have a pathetic collection of coasters (with a couple of exceptions) and have to fly half way across the world to ride some decent rides? Right. Sorry, bit of a rant, but it annoys me when people don't appreciate what they have, especially in a country like Germany which is packed with awesome coasters. Oh well, I guess the grass is always greener.

XYZ
I found these on various Batman the Ride (SFMM) videos on youtube: hiw did they make it blue instead of white???? Have you ever heard of paint? nice, the new paint job seems to make the coaster smoother. No comment needed.
Skycoastin Steve
I witnessed a group of about 30 people in the Dragon Challenge queue go into the room with the candles on the ceiling, then make a U-turn down the switchback instead of continuing forward towards the station. They all followed each other backwards through the queue and into the previous room before they realized what they were doing. I was behind all of them, stood and watched in utter disbelief for about 5 seconds, then continued on. At least I didn't have to wait behind them! Angry_Gumball
Talking to a coworker about my last weekend visit to CGA and the construction for the GCI coaster. She then told me that "I thought they don't make wooden coasters anymore." I told her that wooden coasters are wildly popular and are made to this day. Just because it's wood doesn't mean it's old! UrbanLegend
At Hersheypark yesterday I heard lots of coasters referred to by color; Skyrush was "the yellow one" and Storm Runner was "the red one." My favorite was this group of girls who, literally right in front of the Fahrenheit sign, pointed to Fahrenheit and said excitedly, "I wanna go on the orange one!" Angry_Gumball
I've heard the slide attendants at CGA refer to the slides by their color: "If you want to ride the yellow one, move left. If you want to ride the green one, move to the right, and if you want to ride the blue one, go up the other set of stairs."
Coaster Curt
Three girls today talking while we waited fin line at Valley Fair for the Extreme Swing ride (Exact same as Sky Hawk at Cedar Point). Girl 1 telling girl 3 that last she was in line and watch a guy fall out off the ride when it was at the top of it's swing, but it was ok because he fell into the water ans swam to shore. Girl 2 telling girl 3.....it's true I was there. Then went on to tell her that he was fine so it never made it into the news. Seriously, how could a person ever fall off that ride? Girl 2 telling girl 3.....it's true I was there. Then went on to tell her that he was fine so it never made it into the news. Seriously, how could a person ever fall off that ride? I just love these farfetched, impossible stories. Come to think of it, one of my friends a long time ago told me that he was riding the Giant Dipper at SCBB when his shoe flew off. He then went over to ride the log ride when his shoe came back in for a landing right into his log. There was also the story (that kept me from riding Demon on my 6th grade trip) that my uncle told me about some dude that was riding and as the trains entered the corkscrews, the guy slipped upward when inverted and hit his head on a rock and was killed. Now, having ridden the Demon many times, I could tell you there's no way your head can hit the rock formations in the inversions. I was foolish for believing that story when I was younger, Demon could have been my first inverting coaster.
accelerate
I had an argument with someone the other day. He was sure that 300+ people died on rollercoasters annually. When I pulled up 3+ sources that said otherwise, he said, "Why are you so hung up on this?".
RideofSteel
Overheard in school... Person 1. "What would happen if the roller coaster got stuck upside down?" Person 2: "I don't know but that's why I'm not going on a looping roller coaster." And on Roars POV.... just rode this twice in a row today it was nuts! During the first drop (the biggest) it feels like you fall forward because it's 85 degrees, almost completely vertical
IanKgtr
Overheard at Hershey on Saturday (this one truly is a gem): Girl 1: "Guys, what's it feel like to go upside down on a roller coaster?" Girl 2 (immediately, without hesitation): "OMG, it feels awesome, it feels like an orgasm!" Our faces immediately after we heard it. Our faces three seconds later. RAWKIN_coaster38
I've heard the slide attendants at CGA refer to the slides by their color: "If you want to ride the yellow one, move left. If you want to ride the green one, move to the right, and if you want to ride the blue one, go up the other set of stairs." I don't think that's so weird. I still refer to water slides by their color. I totally get why GP would do the same with coasters. It's hard to remember the names if you don't know anything about a park before going there. Us... we know tons of stuff about every coaster months and years before we even ride it. Now if I saw an enthusiast or a ride op calling the coasters by color... that's a different story.
