Gutterflower
It appears Eejanaika at Fuji Q in Japan is getting a new paint job. While the colour scheme is a nice change it does make it look extremely similar in colour to Takabisha. The image below was posted to Chinese Weibo so It's not official news. But worth keeping an eye on. Source

robbalvey
That ride is awful. It doesn't matter what color it is, it still sucks.
Ccron10
Ehh... Looks ugly to me and gives me the impression that the owners have no idea what they are doing. Hopefully they aren't done painting and paint the supports a nice orange or red color.
JonnyRCT3
Not impressed, looked better before. I can only hope that there is more to it...
DJeXeL
^^Fuji Q's operations are worse than SFMM based on all the TRs I've read.
coasterbill
That looks terrible.
GwaziBSRider1
When I first saw the title, I thought "Hmm..let's see if it looks good or not." Then I saw how ugly it looked and thought " Oh, right...Fuji-Q..."
Moose
Too much grey!
Nrthwnd
It seems to me this park really isn't into bright colours, the way everything is getting painted darker and darker. I believe one of the exceptions to this is their raft ride, all in bright yellow. But hey - there's time to change that too, right? The cats are golden yellow - but who knows what the rest of it will be painted, eventually? Dark brown?
rctneil
What have they done to it? Black and grey, Yuck!
Sharman19
Those colors are a disgrace! I can't even imagine how Dodonpa would look!
cfc
That ride is awful. It doesn't matter what color it is, it still sucks. Yep. This is akin to bronzing a turd.
SharkTums
The fact that Fuji-Q made a bad decision should not shock any of us!
rcjp
That ride is awful. It doesn't matter what color it is, it still sucks. In what way is it awful? How does it compare to the other 4d coasters?
cfc
Imagine being thrown in a trash can, then rolled down a hill. You've just ridden Eejanaika. Now imagine you've waited 3 1/2 hours or more for this experience. Edited October 30, 2014 by cfc
rcjp
^Haha! I get it. I would still like to try it, though (probably just once )

GeorgeT
I really think it`s a major improvement...because now the colorscheme fit`s a lot better to the actual ride experience : BOTH are now awful
MrSum1_55
The drab colors fit the Fuji-Q theme really well.
YOLO
I was randomly watching a TPR Dodonpa POV and this video came up in my suggestions: (Sorry, but the YouTube embed won't work...) Around the nine minute mark, you can see on the lift hill and some of the lower to the ground parts of the ride where already painted black, and this was posted in April. I have to admit, I don't think it looks half bad. I know Takabisha has that same color scheme but I like it.
gerstlaueringvar
I think the track's color is dark brown, not black.
Xmeister
^ If the color is brown, that's even more appropriate for this ride.
