Diamondbacker27 Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 (edited) New Home park coasters? Have any coming to your home park? I have Goliath, Lightning Run, and Banshee! If only Holiday World got one! What's yours? Edited December 17, 2013 by ernierocker
rolercstrluvr Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 I got Gold Striker, Undertow, and Superman at SFDK. (I know Superman is a year old, but it's still new to me)
YoshiFan Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 I consider Dorney and Great Adventure my home parks so no new coasters for 2014. Hopefully for 2015 one of them will get a new coaster.
DBru Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 I'm basically still in absolute shock that a coaster that looks as good as Lightning Run does is coming to my home park. This is basically the year I've been waiting for my entire life. Bring it on, 2014! And I literally cannot wait for my jaw to drop to the floor when I see what Holiday World announces as their first major steel coaster. That'll probably be one of the best days of my life. (Stop judging me.)
cal1br3tto Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Oaks Amusement Park is replacing their Lewis and Clark-themed dark ride with a new attraction. I haven't uncovered any hints or announcements yet, but it's going to use the same building, so I hope it's a new dark ride. If not, hopefully it's at least some kind of ride. A small dark coaster would be especially cool! Silverwood is getting one of those mini-spinning coasters featured at IAAPA. That will be fun to ride someday!
coreysaysyo Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Well im pretty pumped for this coming year for Kentucky kingdom, Not only are we getting lighting run, which looks like a blast. We are also getting U.S.'s tallest waterslide So heck yes!!! lol I am ready to hit it up
i<3coasters Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Calico Mine Ride revamp... 2015... Knott's Giga, finally?
DOCTOR DOOM!!! Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 BRING ON LIGHTNING RUN AND BANSHEE!!!
cmullin Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 I got Gold Striker, Undertow, and Superman at SFDK. (I know Superman is a year old, but it's still new to me) It's been a few good years for the Bay Area.
DanTheBooker Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Well my home SF park is SFGrAm. So Goliath, but I haven't ridden X-Flight yet. Also in 2014, VF is getting a Disko "Coaster" so take that for what it's worth. And, Comotown in St.Paul may be getting a new kiddy coaster next year!
gerstlaueringvar Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 A knock-off Loop & Screw and a knock-off SkyLoop I'm so moving to Chicago!
WildStangAlex Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Goliath. And my other 'home park' is getting Banshee. Should be a great year!
DBru Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Also in 2014, VF is getting a Disko "Coaster" so take that for what it's worth. I think it's interesting how Valley Fair is marketing their new ride as a "family coaster" whereas Cedar Point is getting the exact same ride and the word "coaster" hasn't been used to describe it at all.

(Stop judging me.) I will love that moment also! I hope it's a Rocky Mountain Hybrid. I mean its still got to stick to its wooden theme. ( Holiday Worlds Wooden Coaster theme that is. ) But it can be considered Steel.

Agreed 100%. I think it's mostly because Valleyfair's market is a little bit more open to what May or may not be a coaster than that of Cedar Point. Lol
Diamondbacker27 Posted December 18, 2013 Author Posted December 18, 2013 Helix Can I trade it for Banshee?
carolinacaniac Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 I am really curious to see what it is like to ride the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom. I haven't seen it testing when I have been in the park, but it does seem like it could be a fun ride concept.

They have to build something jaw dropping to get people to make the trek out to Santa Claus, to ride it.
djboss302 Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 Goliath at Six Flags Great America. I can't wait.
