ozziboy
This is a design of coaster that I've never ridden, but it really looks like fun and everyone in the video seems to have been blown away by it! Hope to ride it one day.
Coaster Dooey
Here's today's TPR Daily September video: Vertigo aka "Plane on a Stick" is easily one of the most INTENSE flat rides I've ever been on! And no that footage is NOT sped up in any way! POST YOUR COMMENTS!!! loved, Loved, LOVED the Plane On A Stick ride!!!! One of the best flat rides I have ever, Ever, EVER done!!!! cfc
Spook-o-Rama was surprisingly good--most of the gags worked and no chicken wire in sight!
Nickstroberg
WOW! Is that like mach tower, but actually operational?! How did it compare to an Intamin or Arm/larson tower? It kinda looks like it starts to brake a little higher up, is this so? ...or is it just perspective fooling me? And Canyon Blaster is really a great loop&screw. The theming is great, with plenty of close calls, and the tight spaces really made it feel pretty fast when I rode it last year. Not to mention it seemed remarkably smooth for an old arrow loop&screw, and those loops pack a punch!

rcjp
Great video. Just one question. How long did the "freefall" actually last? Because those "pre-brakes" see to start a bit early. Looks like an awesome ride nonetheless.
Vtafro
This looks like a ton of fun. Can't wait to get back to Busch gardens Tampa. How does this compare to other drop towers?
Nickstroberg
Looks like an incredible experience, although the braking section seems rather drawn out compared to other Intamin drop towers, can you verify? Seems like a hellofalotta fun though, pretty envious of you right now. BGT is probably one of, if not the top, park I'm trying to visit soon. rcdude
Falcon's Fury looks like it could be the best drop tower ever built. That's probably the closest thing I'll ever experience to actual skydiving. Now I just need to find a way to finally get to Florida... Catching up with a few of the other videos: Ultra Twister: This ride looks insane. It's one of the few coasters in Japan that looks travel-worthy to me. Canyon Blaster: Even though the ride is now over 20 years old, it is still one of the better Arrow loopers. I rode it twice on my visit to Vegas this past summer, something I don't typically do for Arrow loopers. Spook-A-Rama: Rode this at Coney Island. It was surprisingly good. I don't think I'd pay $7 to ride again, but I'm glad I rode it once.
GCI Wooden
Robb, is this your favorite drop tower? If not, what is? This ride looks amazing, I really want to try it.

Nrthwnd
Oooooooooooh my. EDIT to add: This park needs to hire George Takei for a commercial! Awesome!
gerstlaueringvar
Looks awesome! Not sure if I'm brave enough to ride it though... I normally can't be scared by anything but this is probably a bit too much.
GnastyGnoric7
I think it is time to get my butt to Busch Gardens Tampa and ride Falcon's Fury, it looks like an epic drop tower and it's an Intamin.
805Andrew
I rode a drop tower with slightly tilted seats at Port Aventura (Huracan Condor) which was amazing (and kind of terrifying) so I can only imagine how awesome this is. Zumanjaro looks like it has nothing on this!
robbalvey
A roller coaster does not have to be the biggest and fastest to be a lot of FUN and these Gerstlauer bobsleds are great rides! POST YOUR COMMENTS!
805Andrew
Catching up on the last several videos: Ultra Twister looks amazing! If Togo would have put that at Knott's instead of Windjammer maybe they would still be in business. That Thad coaster in Denmark looks like lots of fun. Thad makes a great shoe-in for Robb in coaster videos. Canyon Blaster looks like a great Arrow looper with great theming. I wonder if being indoors had anything to do with this Arrow staying smooth. That haunted dark ride at Deno's Wonder Wheel Park was a surprise for me. I found it by chance and it was better than I expected for how cheaply it was made. After I rode it, I' m glad I convinced three East Coast Trip goers exiting the Wonder Wheel to ride it whom may have missed it otherwise. That first gunshot in the ride got me the first time I rode it. I wish I had that Hitachi Magic Wand to place an Ultra Twister at a park here in CA. Nickstroberg
I never understood why they call those coasters like Cobra "bobsled coasters", to me, it just looks like a wild mouse2.0. However, it looks like a fun little ride for a developing park, wouldn't mind seeing more of them stateside
gerstlaueringvar
That's a lot of Giraffe supports! My OCD is happening again Looks like a fun little coaster, why there isn't one of them in US?
rcdude
It always perplexes me that not a single US park has purchased a Gerstlauer Bobsled coaster. They seem to be similar to wild mouse coasters in terms of capacity and price, yet look like they give much better rides. I mean, something like Cobra would probably have been a much better ride for Knott's Berry Farm than Coast Rider last year, a much better ride for Six Flags Magic Mountain than Speedy Gonzales Hot Rod Racers this year, a much better ride for Busch Gardens Williamsburg than next year's Superman clone, etc. Hopefully we see some of these built in the US as I can think of at least a dozen parks where it would be a great fit. robbalvey
Let's get everyone caught up on the daily September videos again... Just a couple of notes here... Helix - I didn't love this ride as much as everyone else did. I thought it was solid, yes, and very very good. But I also thought that the inversions *felt* like the same one over and over and over again, the launches were kind of weak, and it rattled a lot more than I thought a brand new coaster should. It had some incredible airtime moments, which I loved, and some other parts to it that were very good, but I left not being as impressed as I thought I would be. Part of it could also be that Balder is in the same park and I *LOVE* that coaster! Bla Taget - Grona Lund's ghost train is flat out *AWESOME* - Fire effects, Telsa coils, and just some really cool gags that I haven't seen in other dark rides. They updated this the same year Twister opened and it was really nice to see them add really state-of-the-art effects to this ride. Fantastic! Wicked Cyclone - Just got in this POV from SFNE today and I have to say that watching the full POV it looks even BETTER than I was expecting! I thought there may not be as much airtime since it has all those inversions, but it really looks like it's gonna deliver. Now let's just hope the ride doesn't catch fire during construction!
