Jackdude101 Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 The topic states all that you need to know.
larrygator Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 No Bonus points for me - Tokyo DisneySea. I guess I could have said Europa Park if I really wanted the bonus points.
gerstlaueringvar Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Haven't been to Europa Park, Liseberg, Gröna Lund, Hansa Park, Heide Park, Parc Asterix, Port Aventura, Mirabilandia, Walibi Holland, etc. so far, my vote goes to Happy Valley Shanghai! Even though they have terrible ride op who argues with their customers, for the amazing Mega-Lite, it can be forgiven.
downunder Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Liseberg & Gronalund for the tie, though I haven't been to any Japan parks. Europa rates a mention.
Jew Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 No Bonus points for me - Tokyo DisneySea. I guess I could have said Europa Park if I really wanted the bonus points. Ditto. I also really enjoyed Liseberg too.
Xcoaster Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Europa Park is easily my favorite overall, even including the USA (Canada?). Other international favorites include, in order, DisneySea, Alton Towers, Efteling, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Universal Studios Japan, Phantasialand, Heide Park, Gardaland, Mirabilandia, Gronalund, Tripsdrill, and Tivoli Gardens. I imagine Liseberg and PortAventura will someday be added to that list.
cfc Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 No bonus points for me either...TDS all the way!!! Yep, with Europa in second place.
The Angry Darren Mullins Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Everland before rides like the Eagle Fortress and the Ferris wheel started to close and be left to rot. Everland with the Eagle Fortress and T Express is my favorite park and EF and T Express would be my favorite steel/wood combination anywhere in the world. Other parks deserving of the honor would be: Nagashima Spaland-Japan New Reoma World (a jewel of a park that not many enthusiasts would probably visit due to its out of the way location)-Japan Tobu Zoo-Japan Nasu Highland-Japan Space World-Japan Tokyo Disneysea-Japan Ocean Park-Hong Kong Happy Valley Beijing-China Hong Kong Disneyland Nara Dreamland-Japan (the wood coaster there is one of the best of the 99 wood coasters I have ridden even if the park was a bit rudown before it closed) Gyeongju World-South Korea Gumdori Land-South Korea-small and compact, but with a large custom Vekoma looper and a great indoor Vekoma coaster Chimelong Paradise-China Happy Valley Shanghai-China Happy Valley Wuhan-China Knight Valley-China Fantawild Adventure Zhuzhou-China Fantawild Adventure-Shantou-China Fantawild Adevnture-Taian-China Chuanlord Holiday Manor-China-Nice park, basic coasters, but a lot of them if you are a dirty filthy credit whore Yingze Park-Taiyuan-China-A long distance from Beijing. I wonder if I am the only enthusiast to hav visited here. It has an unusual suspended coaster that is wort going out of the way for Shenzhen Children's Paradise-China-Nice kiddie park that is well landscaped and has some theming
gisco Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 No Bonus points for me - Tokyo DisneySea. I guess I could have said Europa Park if I really wanted the bonus points. Ditto.
Oryp Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Only one I've been to is Universal Studios Singapore and it was fantastic, even though Battlestar Galactica was down.
oriolat Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Europa Park; that's how a theme park should be run. Plenty of coasters, some of which are unique, excellent themeing, reasonably priced and top-notch operations.
Nrthwnd Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Guess I lose those all-important bonus points. Tokyo Disney Sea
Moose Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 My favorite park anywhere, us or not, is also Tokyo Disney Sea. The atmosphere is just outstanding.
rctneil Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 I too am on the list for Tokyo DisneySEA. It's what a THEME park should be. The rides fit the theme and it's amazing how natural but odd it all looks and it all works beautifully well.
larrygator Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 I quite like Portaventura, really nice park. I really liked PortAventura, but the park guests ruin the experience.
oriolat Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 I quite like Portaventura, really nice park. I really liked PortAventura, but the park guests ruin the experience. I guess TPR has not recently been to the park. Since the Spanish trip, quite a lot has changed for the worse. Operations, which were not really good, have indeed gone downhill. Not to mention that the new management does not give a **** about themeing, in regards new additions and shows. Yes, and Spaniards are rude and suffer from chronic and impulsive queue-jumping.
JonnyRCT3 Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Gröna Lund Never been, but seems to have so much charm to it.
Meteornotes Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Well, since we are getting bonus points if it's not a Disney, Universal, or Lego park (hopefully these bonus points can be exchanged for valuable cash and prizes, like a meat slicer), I'm going to go with Europa Park. dt
djboss302 Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Phantasialand. Even though I've never been, it seems to have a nice atmosphere with all that theming.
booink Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 For me... none yet, I have not visited a park outside of these two countries
