SingleRiderCam Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 (edited) My first Schwarzkopf coaster I have ever ridden is Montezooma's Revenge at Knott's Berry Farm and it is also the first shuttle coaster I have ever ridden. Now it is your turn to show your first ever coaster from Schwarzkopf. Schwarzkopf shuttle loop goodness! Edited December 7, 2013 by SingleRiderCam
DCA_Chris Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Tidal Wave back when the queue was a little beach it was adorable.
GayCoasterGuy Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Mine was: and then: Ours had a themed beach area, too The rusted out anchor now sits next to V2 (an inferior ride, fun-wise).
Swornenemy Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Willard's whizzer at cga long time ago. I was disappointed when it was removed.
Aceattack52 Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Mindbender at SFOG. Excellent ride. What's this? A visual representation?!?
DCA_Chris Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Was so glad I got to ride Whizzer while I was in Chicago a few years back. Awesome ride, really sad my park got rid of ours. Though Gold Striker is definitely an adequate replacement <3
Commando Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 TWO TRAINS OF THE LIFT!?! That 5 train operation during the Marriott days must have been awesome.
Double0Kevin Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Tidal Wave/Greased Lightning at CGA (first rode it when it was Tidal Wave). And the Schwarz was with it! (Spaceballs reference for all you cool people. And yes, I know the movie was actually "schwartz").
VinTheAttendant Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 My older sister is convinced that I rode sooperdooperLooper back in 1999, but I have absolutely no memory of that. Unless proven otherwise, Scorpion was my first.
GayCoasterGuy Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 (edited) TWO TRAINS OF THE LIFT!?! That 5 train operation during the Marriott days must have been awesome. Yup! 2 on the lift, one rounding the lift after a block break. The 4th was probably being loaded, with the 5th approaching the station. Demon was very quick too; one train down the big drop right as one peeks out of the lift "rocks," while the 3rd is being loaded. Every coaster was faster way back, probably twice as fast as stuff now. Safety standards are different, etc. File under "things were different back then." There were no seat belts or air gates. Train stopped, you hopped in (up to 3 in a seat: 3 kids or one adult and 2 kids) and you were off! You took your souvenir bag with you, mom put her purse on like a bandolier; your stuffed animal rode with you. Much different today. Both Whizzers, Zambezi Zinger, Revolution at Magic Mountain and others had unload stations built. Whizzer's is still there, just has chains across it with a "remain seated" sign. I had a friend who worked for the park for 17 years. One of his last projects (mid 90s) was a project to get at least 4 trains back on Whizzer and 6 back on American Eagle. That wasn't going to happen easily, and no way it could ever happen again, with the way stuff is now. And the Schwarz was with it! (Spaceballs reference for all you cool people. And yes, I know the movie was actually "schwartz"). Or those of us old enough to remember when only 5 movies came out a week! Quality over quantity. Edited February 13, 2013 by GayCoasterGuy

Or those of us old enough to remember when only 5 movies came out a week! Quality over quantity. 5 a week sounds like a large quantity to me... Unless you mean 5 a year, but then that would be a crazy over exaggeration as there were way more than that even back then.
Voxelmatic Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Scorpion was my first, my most recent was sooperdooperLooper, fave is Mindbender.
Sir Clinksalot Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Revolution at SFMM somewhere around 1983.
Koasterking48 Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Scorpion for me. It's really interesting how many people have this one has their first Schwarzkopf as well.
_IntaMAN_ Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Mine's was Revolution at SFMM, unluckily with the OTSR's Photo Courtesy RCDB
larrygator Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Probably the Casino Pier Jet Star, but I'm not really sure.
#1rollercoasterfan Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Scorpion at BGT in March 1997 then Tidal Wave that was at CGA summer 1997(first time & I was so scared I thought I would fall out so held onto the bar behind the seat in front of me. The announcer was like arms up & I was like nooo but after it was over I loved it)
