Grizzly is the worst. I'd much rather ride Gold Striker instead & I don't go on Grizzly anymore. & Grizzly has the slowest loading operation ever. I could even fall asleep in line it takes forever! Gold Striker & SFMM's Colossus are my favorite woodies.

I have only been on these inverted's: -Flight Deck CGA -Batman SFMM -Montu BGT -Fire & Ice IOA Out of all of them I like Fire & Montu the best.

I just got back from 2 days there. 1st day I forgot to go on Transformers! I did the 2nd day the wait was very long & had broken down the first time I tried to ride it. Went back to it later it was up & running again but however just after I finished the whole ride & my car was right before the exit it broke down. Only was stuck for about 10 min. An attendant came by to open the car but after getting off they gave everyone a free Universal Express pass. Rockit was closed the whole time I was there. It was testing late Friday afternoon. I was looking forward to Rockit again because last year I went on it 3 times. That was my first time on it last year. Hulk wow what a coaster high up on my list of favorites I rode it at least 6 times. Dudley Do Right I love that log ride so fun. It had actually started pouring rain when my log entered the outside parts. Dudley Do Right & Splash Mountain are my favorite log flumes. I enjoy Despicable Me what a great ride however the wait was like 90 min both days. I had the one use Express Pass so that came in handy. I did not go on Harry Potter this time. Didn't feel up to the rocking/tilting. I did go on it last year though. Rode the Dragon Challenge both sides. Jurassic Park love it. I always request the front for Jurassic Park, Dudley, & Splash. You get just drenched in the front row on Jurassic Park & Dudley. But the WDW Splash in the front just a light spray. Disaster is a great show. I am so glad they didn't get rid of the tram part from Earthquake. & ET what a classic one of my favorites. That classic has to stay I hope they never get rid of it. & The Revenge Of The Mummy is super short but it's still good.

Oh I've got a lump in my throat. How very depressing. Maybe they can shine it up & send it back to CGA where it belongs & give it back it's original Tidal Wave theme.

^What??? Line out the entrance at Gold Striker on a Tuesday? CGA seems to be busy no matter what day you go. I remember like back in 2002 the park was so dead during the week in the summer. Crowd levels sure have changed & a new generation of park goers.

Demon I know sit in the very last seat which is known as the magic seat. You get a nice ride & especially your head doesn't jerk down going through the loops. But the front seat ouch! Vortex & Grizzly I don't even bother riding anymore. No Happy Feet movie likes? I thought it sucked. Saw it 1 time & won't see it again. Already miss Spongebob.

Yey so awesome & finally there will be no more problems with Gold Striker. Whoo hoo. Can't wait to go next week since I canceled my visit this week after finding out on here Gold Striker would be closed. Oh well next week will be here soon enough.

Or I know put a huge ugly pink sound proof dome over Great America like Circus Circus Adventure Dome. Cedar Fair needs to become real creative here so that Prudenal will zip their lips once in for all. Cedar Fair needs to consider our ideas.

Oh I know enclose Gold Striker in a building & have it run in pitch black darkness like Space Mountain or make gem caverns around the track & have the train zoom in & out of some caverns inside & have strobe colored spot lights flashing around the ride but inside is still dark the only light would be from the strobe colored spot lights. That would be pretty cool.

Me too I'll be screaming as LOUD as I can on Goldy when I go next week to show Prudental who's in charge here. You guys scream as loud as you can too. What a huge headache they are it's not fair. Gold Striker better not get torn down just because of them. Cedar Fair CAN'T let that happen. Why can't the city build a nice ugly sound proof wall around their stupid office building? Next Prudental will start complaining about the 49er game traffic. At least that will take their complaints away from Great America hopefully.

Only 10 rides so far. Darn it I was looking forward to riding it. Maybe I'll put off my visit tomorrow & go another day this month. Just when I wanted some Gold Striker adrenalin rush. Was looking forward to it tomorrow but then I find out it was closed today. Bummer.

Does anybody know if Gold Striker will be open tomorrow? I know it was closed today & I was hoping to ride it tomorrow.

How bad are the lightening bolt storms first week of August? & How long do August storms last? & What time do they start? & Is it safe enough to walk out in the open of the parks to get to the indoor rides or do you suggest walking as close to buildings as possible? I'd still like to stay in the park even if a storm hits to do the indoor rides. Last year I went to Orlando first week of July & I got cut short 2 hours. The lightening bolt storm started around 7pm & lasted around 2 hours. I didn't know what to do so I hurried to the guest drop off along with everyone else leaving. That was my first day & all other 3 days were fine no rain/storms.

^^^I will take Robb's advice by going to the Magic KIngdom first & then leaving around or 4 like he said. I would like to ride Everest & Dinosaur since I've never been on those. Thanks Robb for the excellent advice! You always know whats best! How long does the bus take from the Transportation Ticket Center to Animal Kingdom? & If I see lightening bolts around the park is it safe to walk in the open to the indoor rides or should I be walking along buildings to get to the rides?

^I always take your advise Robb thanks for posting. I am going to stay put in one park for the day Magic Kingdom & not try to attempt to park hop. Yep definitely forget it. I'd rather enjoy all the rides in the Magic Kingdom. & Last year I missed Peter Pan & Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin. Plus I can be happy riding several times Space, Splash & Big Thunder. That will make up for missing the park hopping. & Question for Robb: For Universal I have the 2 day hopper ticket with one use express. They are already printed out. I was wondering when I get to the park will they let me upgrade to the unlimited express by paying cash? My name is on the express ticket but my mom got it with her credit card. I can only pay cash to upgrade. My mom doesn't want to give me her credit card & my parents are dropping me off. Yes you can purchase the unlimited express without staying onsite. This is something new not sure when it started. But I'm hoping I can upgrade. 2 Spider Man's all right looking forward to both!

See last year I had 4 days in Orlando 2 at Universal & 2 at Disney. This year only 3 -August 1st & 2nd will be spent at Universal-2 day park hopper with one use express ticket. Can I upgrade the express ticket to the unlimited use one? My mom bought them online with her credit card & we already printed them out. I won't have her credit card only cash to pay the upgrade on the express. It's only like a $20 difference to upgrade to the unlimited use one. I have been to Universal Orlando several times before this year & last year. I have even stayed onsite at the Portofino 3 years in a row before it got too expensive. & That's why I chose only 1 day at Disney. I wish I had 2 days at each resort but I don't. I made me a hard decision which parks to choose. So I decided on 2 days at Universal -wanted more time there since I like all the coasters, water rides, Spider Man, ect. My parents are paying for my trip so my mom chose how many days in Orlando so I had no say in the planning & what month to go except choosing the parks. My mom got all my park tickets. Even though she got me the 1 day Disney hopper I think I'll stay put at the Magic Kingdom. Yeah I'll miss the Tower, Rock N Roller, Star Tours but at least I just did the Disney Studios last year so I'll be ok missing it. Thanks for helping me decide what to do. Magic Kingdom all day it is. My parents will be dropping me off at the Transportation Ticket Center. The Magic Kingdom opens at 9. What time do you suggest I get to the Transportation Center & how early should I get on Main Street so I can dash over to Space? I'd rather have several rides on Space Mountain, Big Thunder & Splash. Much rather stay there all day. & I don't like being in the big sea of people trying to get out. It was just a mob last year trying to get on the ferry. What time is the last ferry/monorail? The Magic Kingdom closes at 11. I'm also worried about the afternoon thunder storms. Last year during my first day in Orlando at Islands Of Adventure my day got cut short 2 hours because of the thunder storm. I left about 7pm. I had wanted to ride Hulk a 3rd time but because of the storm it was closed. But no storms the other 3 days last year. I know they do keep the inside rides open. Are the lightening bolts anywhere near the park & are you safe enough to walk around in the open areas of the park? & How do you get to all the indoor rides when there's lightening bolts do you just walk along buildings?

I am going to spend 1 full day at Disney World Saturday August 3rd. I have a special 1 day hopper ticket that was purchased from undercovertourist.com The rides I want to do are: -Test Track never been on it -Soarin never been on the Disney World one but been on the Disneyland one -Tower Of Terror at least 3 times -Rock N Roller at least 2 times -Star Tours at least 2 times -Expedition Everest at least 3 times never been on it -Dinosaur never been on it -Safari Jeep ride that's 20 min never been on it -Rapids Ride never been on it -Space Mountain -Splash Mountain -Big Thunder -Peter Pan -Small World -Tiki Room -Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin Or is it too hard to try to do 4 parks in 1 day? Or just do 2? I went last July but I had 2 full days at Disney World. I did the Magic Kingdom & The Disney Studios. The Studios has an extra morning hour from 8-9 so I don't know if I should do the Studios because I'm not staying on site by the time I get there at 9 I'm assuming Rock N Roller will already have a long line. I've never been to Animal Kingdom. I don't care for the spinning coaster. But Expedition Everest & Dinosaur & the rapids ride yes. Epcot I've been once back in the 90's. Don't really care for Epcot except for Test Track & Soarin. How do you think I should plan my day with what 2 parks or just stay in the Magic Kingdom? If you suggest I do 2 parks how many hours should I spend in each one?

Sky Whirl that was at CGA I can still hear that loud hum it made. Gold Striker at CGA the sound it makes going by the camera. Tidal Wave/Greased Lightnin launch sound will never forget it. Inside the Demon tunnel at CGA when it had "welcome to the Demon I hope you survive ha ha ha" Space Mountain Disneyland & California Screamin on ride music Splash Mountain Disneyland & Disney World on ride music/recorded sounds Rock N Roller Disney World on ride music

Now this ride is where I draw the line. NO THANK YOU! Sure I love any roller coaster, water ride, dark ride, Tower Of Terror but this looks too OMFG insane! I've stopped going on Drop Tower. I just don't care really for the drop rides anymore except Tower Of Terror & Dr. Doom.

I am done with Grizzly. Can't wait for them to tear it down. Will be glad to see it go. & Vortex nothing to like about Vortex either. Demon is ok if you sit in the very last seat. Then your head doesn't jerk down going through the loops.

^& Flight Deck the other best one. I am so glad CF is finally really starting to enforce line jumpers. I'm tired of them pushing past us waiting in line to catch up with their friends. That's awesome Gold Striker is under high security camera to catch those idiots. Grizzly though so needs to go. It will shortly decline it's popularity because of Gold Striker. A nice launcher or a height modified I305 would fit so nicely in there!!!
