Your First Schwarzkopf Coaster?

Recommended Posts

My first Schwarzkopf coaster I have ever ridden is Montezooma's Revenge at Knott's Berry Farm and it is also the first shuttle coaster I have ever ridden. Now it is your turn to show your first ever coaster from Schwarzkopf.

TWO TRAINS OF THE LIFT!?! That 5 train operation during the Marriott days must have been awesome.

Yup! 2 on the lift, one rounding the lift after a block break. The 4th was probably being loaded, with the 5th approaching the station. Demon was very quick too; one train down the big drop right as one peeks out of the lift "rocks," while the 3rd is being loaded. Every coaster was faster way back, probably twice as fast as stuff now. Safety standards are different, etc.

File under "things were different back then." There were no seat belts or air gates. Train stopped, you hopped in (up to 3 in a seat: 3 kids or one adult and 2 kids) and you were off! You took your souvenir bag with you, mom put her purse on like a bandolier; your stuffed animal rode with you. Much different today. Both Whizzers, Zambezi Zinger, Revolution at Magic Mountain and others had unload stations built. Whizzer's is still there, just has chains across it with a "remain seated" sign.

I had a friend who worked for the park for 17 years. One of his last projects (mid 90s) was a project to get at least 4 trains back on Whizzer and 6 back on American Eagle. That wasn't going to happen easily, and no way it could ever happen again, with the way stuff is now.

And the Schwarz was with it! (Spaceballs reference for all you cool people. And yes, I know the movie was actually "schwartz").
Or those of us old enough to remember when only 5 movies came out a week! Quality over quantity. Edited by GayCoasterGuy

5 a week sounds like a large quantity to me... Unless you mean 5 a year, but then that would be a crazy over exaggeration as there were way more than that even back then.
