^ Thanks!

Am I correct to assume Lisa needs to be free to start the Buddist Temple quest?

I guess I'll have to wait to find out, as all my characters are on 12hr duty till 5pm.

Ah - The joys of "Hurry up and wait"!!

Started building the Temple and made a zen garden for it. I also got Mount Carlmore since I have a bunch of doughnuts from the harp of death. The 2% for 40 doughnuts cars are still the best deal, that's why I have 3 police cars parked at the Lard Lad Doughnuts Also, my friend tried to do the Springfield Downs glitch today and said it seems to be fixed.

How can you stack fences and stuff like that?

I just tried experimenting with some fence pieces I have in storage. Just stack them on adjacent squares, starting with a corner, and play with the height to get your own desired effect.

Pretty much gives an "M. C. Escher"-esque effect, on a forced, false perspective, in 2D.

On a side note - the person whose Springfield that I took the screen shots of, caused me to crash when I visited sometimes. That kind of ties in to when my Springfield caused me (and others) to crash as well. According to the EA boards (I went there to see why mine was crashing. Verdict - building too many things at the same time.), some people have way too many trees, or in this case, fence pieces, and that somehow eats into the available memory.

So when I do try this effect, I plan on doing it in moderation. It will probably take quite a bit of time for me as well, as I am very artistically challenged.

^Same. I am unfortunately starting to get burned out playing. Although I am still sending my characters on tasks, I have completely stopped visiting other towns.

Also, kind of wish that they kept the drinking at O' Flanagan's Pub. You could send a dozen of them on that 4 hr task and then they were all in the same place for rapid tapping. It helped me be lazy.

Yeah, I don't like it when they take away places from the list of tasks, like the mini golf course, Butterfats, florist, El Chemistri, etc. at least Tom can still go to his pub though! Hopefully they give people a good reason to visit other towns again soon, as I've really slowed down in doing that.

^Yeah, I agree that would be cool.

Like Robb had mentioned the game really needs a 'mini-game' component as well. Amber was over watching KT yesterday and showed us a game she's been playing which is very similar to the simpsons but then you can take the characters and do little mini-games with them to earn money or XP. Very simple and adds a whole other level to the game. Imagine a game with Bart skate boarding where you had to jump over obstacles and collect coins or a Tapper game in Moe's Tavern.

Exactly! And it's soooo easy! Especially when EA owns a shit-ton of games in their libraries that could be easily adapted. The name of the game Amber showed us was "Dragon Skies" by a small development company who have done no other notable games. They totally got the mix between the "building a town" aspect and "mini game" right. I don't understand why EA cannot follow suit. Wearing my "game developer" hat, there should NEVER be a time in any game where you go "Well, I have nothing to do in this game right now, so I need to stop playing", that just goes against everything I ever learned while working in the video games business.

Right now, like Eric said above, I've pretty much lost interest in the game. I still play every day, but I check in, set my guys on a 24 hour task, and I'm done with it. I just simply don't have anything to do in the game right now, and setting them on the exact same tasks over and over again, to see the exact same animations, to get XP and money that I don't really need right, has made me lose interest. Sorry EA.

Just started building the "Adult Education Annex". It's 182,000 and a 36hr build. I got it right after both Carl and Lenny finished their 16hr plant shift.

Tonight I'm gonna build up my Buddhist temple!!

(Yeah. I lead the exciting life.)
