GG: Have any parks in California contacted you (either in the past or the present) about a possible or future ride in one of their parks (and if so can you give any names)?

GG: In several of your concept videos and pictures it is clear that you use NoLimits roller coaster simulator. What are the uses of software like this in the industry and how does it benefit you? Do you actually use this software used to get a basic idea for a coaster before it is actually developed or just to create promotional material for the ride?

Hey everyone!

IAAPA starts up next week and this year we're gonna change things up a bit! Normally, we do interviews with all the major ride companies, and to be honest, most of the interviews from year to year are very similar, because they can't really talk about that much coming up, and we already know about what they've already built.

So this year we're gonna give the opportunity for YOU to ask a question! Here's how it's gonna work....

RULES! (Because we need them!)

1. We'll post to this thread a ride company that we are currently gathering questions for.

2. Ask away! As as much as you want, but EACH QUESTION MUST BE IN A SEPARATE POST!

3. Once we've closed the current question period for one ride manufacturer no more questions may be asked of that ride company.

4. We will pick FIVE questions to ask each of the ride companies from the questions submitted to the forum.

5. Those questions will be asked as part of the interview videos we do on the IAAPA show floor.

6. Anyone who deviates from these rules will be disqualified and their questions will be thrown out.

Everyone got it? GOOD! Now....

What question do you want us to ask MACK RIDES at IAAPA 2012?

MR: Can you tell us about the new additions to Europa Park over the next few years?

Question for MACK Rides: Given that you are one of the few large ride companies who still offers traditional log flumes as a product, and there are many parks retiring their older log flume rides, have many parks or chains expressed an interest in purchasing a new flume ride system from you to replace them?

Mack - Can we expect taller coasters from Mack with your new track system (blueFire, The Storm, Projekt Helix)?

Posted

To Mack: I went to Europa Park the past two summers and fell in love with Blue Fire's trains. Is it possible to put these trains on rougher looping coasters to allow a more comfortable ride, or are they exclusive to Mack's megacoasters?

Posted

Mack: Whom are your target audience with your new Mega coaster design? Are you aiming to be a serious competitor to B&M and Intamin in the thrill coaster market or are you going for a gentler "family thrill" style ride since the coasters can accomodate children of 1.3 meters height?

Posted

Mack: How tall can you go with your new mega coaster design? We've already seen examples of you designing multi loopers and airtime coasters with the new track style, but so far none of the installations have been big or "mega" by your competitors measures. Can your mega coasters be as tall as a typical B&M or Intamin Hyper? (~70m) Or can your looping designs get as big as eg Superman Krypton coaster (35m loop)?

Posted

Mack: Some of your older installations are considerably rough like eg Eurosat and Euromir at Europa Park. With your newly researched track style the coasters have become a lot smoother and I'm even willing to say that Blue Fire might be the single most comfortable coaster in the world right now! What have you done to improve your rides so drastically? What have you changed in your production methods to be able to make such smooth rides?

Posted

Mack: will your new suspeded power coaster going into Europa Park in 2014 feature spinning seats featured on your website?

Posted

Mack Q1: We've recently seen you branch out from family coasters to thrill coasters with Blue Fire and a couple other similar rides. Do you have more unique thrill attractions planned for the future?

Posted

Mack:

You guys offer a bit of a fresh approach to the amusement industry. Do you intend to retain this by creating some more interesting, perhaps unorthodox or simply strange installations?

Posted

Mack - With Project Helix at Liseberg coming in 2014, we have noticed a few changes to the announced layout, are these sort of changes requested by the park or are you suggesting newer ideas as you think about them?

NOW OPEN FOR GENERAL QUESTIONS TO ANY COMPANY!

Hey everyone!

1. You may ask a question to ANY ride company, even if it one we have not covered yet in this thread. There is a good chance we will talk to more companies than those discussed already.

2. Please use the following format: "Company Name:" "Question" For example: "Intamin: Do you think it is possible for every park in the world to have an Intamin Mega-Lite?"

3. Ask as many questions as you like, but each question MUST be in a separate post!

4. We will take questions through Sunday evening, November 11th.

Gerstlauer : How near/far are your designing software compared to Newton²?

(Yeah, I really want to know! Hope my english's good enough for you to understand, I'm not sure of the formulation.)
