6flagsbrad Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 After driving by the park the past couple days, I noticed a chain link fence near the airplane and balloon ride. There's a wall that runs in between the train and the new coaster section, and part of it is now missing near the two rides. If I were to take a random I guess, I would say they are planning to make another walkway back to the new area to open it up more so it won't feel like such a dead end. They would just need to make another crossing for the train tracks. Excited to watch the construction continue as I drive by the park everyday on my way to school. The ride looks really fun! Can't wait to ride it!
gerstlaueringvar Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 So that's a clone of Gipfelstürmer... I was hoping to see something custom.
robbalvey Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 So that's a clone of Gipfelstürmer... I was hoping to see something custom. Remember that this is a tiny, tiny, tiny park and this is already MUCH bigger than anything I would have expected from them. Seriously, check out their website and you'll see it's a really small park aimed mostly at kids 12 and under. http://www.adventurecity.com/
gerstlaueringvar Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 ^ Thanks, I didn't know too much about this park other than the Freeway Coaster that goes across the tree. Â Now this seems like a huge ride already.
WFChris Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Pardon my ignorance, but why do the lifts flatten out at the top? It looks a little awkward to me.
downunder Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 It's looks like a cool little coaster, though I'm too ashamed to go to the park by myself even though I've stayed at that other larger park on Beach Blvd many times.

_koppen Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 So that's a clone of Gipfelstürmer... I was hoping to see something custom.  The concept art shows the Vekoma ride, so we don't have any idea yet of the layout yet. It could still be a custom layout even if it's a shuttle.  I personally think it's going to be the same as Gold Rush though.
gerstlaueringvar Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 RCDB said it's a Gerstlauer. Â I wasn't expecting it costs 2 million dollars.
Jew Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Concept art rarely reflects the final product. I think it is safe to say it is clone of Gold Rush.
gerstlaueringvar Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Any idea why Gold Rush's track is connected like this? Isn't it a shuttle coaster?

You need to be proud of credit whoring! Â Yin, in America, a grown man walking around a kiddie park on their own would not be a good look - it would arouse suspicion of the authorities.

It's not like you are staying there for a whole day... I guess it only needs an hour to grab these two credits and you won't need to return any time soon. Â Or... borrow a kid!
COASTER FREAK 11 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Any idea why Gold Rush's track is connected like this? Isn't it a shuttle coaster?  It is not a shuttle coaster. It is actually a full circuit coaster with some unique abilities. Watch the video to better understand:  [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] Though, I do not believe that the park will be getting this version of the ride. It will probably be closer to the concept art.  So that's a clone of Gipfelstürmer... I was hoping to see something custom. Seriously, check out their website and you'll see it's a really small park aimed mostly at kids 12 and under. http://www.adventurecity.com/  I think this is the smallest park in the world, the whole thing is less then 3 acres! I have never seen one smaller, and with 2 coaster no less!
LiMiT Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Not only do I like the coaster very much, but I also like that Adventure City is going to theme this ride quite effectively!
jynx242 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 How cute is this??!! Â Looks like a great addition to the park and the park regulars should love it!
arby Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Wow! Who'd have thought a small park like this would get such a great family coaster? This should be very popular among locals.
gerstlaueringvar Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 This coaster looks very small, but judging from Gold Rush's video, I'm getting very excited.
RoCo Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 So great to hear that this park is still in the game and doing something really fun and unusual. Can't wait to check this out this summer!
TroyWD98 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 The theming looks great in the picture! Next time I'm at Knott's over the summer, I'll definitely have to stop by Adventure City to ride this.
beatle11 Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 That looks like a fun ride! Seems like an excellent fit for this park.
XYZ Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 It looks like a great ride for the park. I need to get myself down here eventually to snag this credit.
Nrthwnd Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Pardon my ignorance, but why do the lifts flatten out at the top? It looks a little awkward to me. Â This is what caught my eye when I saw the concept drawing, too. That Pit Stop bldg. up top there. Â So, might the coaster get pulled backwards, right up and into that Pit Stop and then released? And does it do the same for being pulled forwards into the Pit Stop, too? And then released backwards? Â Curious.
6flagsbrad Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Drove by the park yesterday and the first shipment of parts and track pieces have arrived. Couldn't grab a picture while I was driving and it's hard to see on the side lot. Hopefully they'll get more parts and start putting it up soon. All I can say is the colors are very bright. Neon yellow and orange.
6flagsbrad Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Here's a couple pictures I got of the parts from last week. They're fenced off in the side parking lot where the main gate to hobby city is. Looks like most if not all of the track and supports.
