Angry_Gumball
^Someone also said "Fiddler's Fling." For those who don't know CGA, Fiddler's Fling is now Centrifuge, which is the park's Schwarzkopf Calypso flat ride. Now speaking of CGA, this is just complaining for complaining's sake...throw in some exaggerations and here you go! I really am disappointed with this place .. When I was younger and came to the park it was always fun . It didnt cost my family their rent money to get in and ride . It didnt cost $10.00 for a hamburger or a soda ! And there was an attendant who made sure there was no cutting in line ..If I had known that it was going to be this bad I would of went some place else . This trip to Great America was terrible !! 5 rides for $40 ! Not right ! but if you pay another $45 you can get the golden braclet that allows you to cut in front of others !? WTH !! Who gives their children $ 400 to go to an amusment park ? Very RICH people ! Not us normal people thats for sure .. I want my money back for the lousy time I had .. of course thats not going to happen .. First off, I never spend $400 on a single visit to the park, even when I am buying lunch, dinner and park swag. Second, go to any amusement park...a meal will cost you at least $10. Do your math and take advantage of any family combo deals if available like we did at SFMM ($40 covered 4 of us to have 2 slices of pizza each, soda, and cheese sticks...) The park has way more than 5 rides... 5 is this many: *holds up hand and counts fingers* Nope, CGA has more If you only got on 5 rides, perhaps you should have planned your day better Even on a busy day I can get at least 10 rides in. Just saying...
jjune4991
On a picture of a blue Chinese knock-off Arrow looping coaster, almost all the commenters tried to decide whether it was Gatekeeper, Millennium Force, or Corkscrew from CP. None of them could figure out that the coaster was on a hill...
Hugecoltsfan
https://www.facebook.com/youngwildandfree101 Just look at the comments for the pictures posted on this page. Prepare for a lot of facepalming.

One thing I need to say is that Dragon is a real Arrow, not a knockoff. Link: http://rcdb.com/1234.htm

IrishBuckeye
On a youtube video that shows a little kid freaking out on a roller coaster, this was just posted in the comments (also includes my response). So apparently we all have flawed brains.
BenFreeze
Not entirely a GP comment, but Six Flags posted a picture of Mr. Freeze and Sky Screamer at SFStL with this caption: How do you prefer your airtime: Spinning at the top of the world OR free-falling 218-feet backwards? I'm probably over thinking this, but I don't think anyone will be free-falling 218 feet backwards at a Six Flags park any time soon unless they turn the trains back around on Mr. Freeze. BigBomer
Grand Texas (New Houston Park) Facebook Ok so you say this will be a theme I am excited but a theme park is NOT a theme park if you are only going to have 3 ROLLER COASTERS 1 being a wooden one a theme park has at least 15-20 roller coaster just like in Disney world , fiesta texas, and six flags over texas in which I have all been to
cmullin
^^^ Six Flags would say that wouldn't they. Hahaha this topic is amazing!!
jray21
^^thats awesome. I wasn't aware that the minimum to be called a theme park was raised to 15.
azza29
^15-20, so more than 20 is not a theme park either, right?
Mater
It's so funny when people aren't as educated as others who spend a large amount of their time researching and studying a topic.
australianalex
It's so funny when people aren't as educated as others who spend a large amount of their time researching and studying a topic. It's so funny when someone takes a humorous thread seriously. Besides, a lot of the things talked about here are pretty common sense stuff that you don't need to know much about coasters to know. A six year old can tell whether or not a coaster has inversions by looking at it. Just as most people with an ounce of common sense realise that 99% of theme park rides are totally safe. fraroc
I don't get pissy when people mistake an Arrow for a Vekoma or a Vekoma for an Arrow, but when that person says something stupid about the Arrow or Vekoma like "HERPA DERP SAME COASTER FROM FINAL DESTINATION 3 WERE GONNA DIE OH NOES!!!!!!!" That's what annoys me.
Sir Clinksalot
I know I've mistaken Vekoma's for Arrows and Vice-Versa before. Not a big deal IMO.
