SharkTums
It's really f**king good. Makes me almost want to take back some of the mean things I've said about Alan Schilke in the past. Gives Intamin a run for their money. Discuss.
Skycoastin Steve
I was waiting with bated breath to hear a paragraph of description for each moment of airtime.
Gerstlauer1
Thanks for your very detailed and long review! Overall i think this coaster looks amazing! And as you say, Intamin has got a new competitor! Thank god for RMC!
coasternut
I was waiting with bated breath to hear a paragraph of description for each moment of airtime. I did count 14, maybe 15 airtime pops. I love it!!!
BeemerBoy
This review needs more speed.
cfc
As crazy at that ride was during the morning ERT, it definitely upped the ante that night! Whether you think it's a wooden or a steel coaster, it's top-ten (hell, probably top-three) material. What I really appreciated about it, other than the ejector air, was the good mix of airtime and laterals.
Meteornotes
Yeah, the day rides were good, but the night rides were INSANE. Easily one of the best rides in the world. dt
krazekiddd
I loveeeee the overbank turns from the back of the train. Being pulled through that was awesome.

Hilltopper39
Thank you Alan for pushing between -1 and -2 g's. Not that it matters nor is it relevant (and excuse me if this was a joke) but is there such a thing as -2 g's? I mean If-1g is weightless, then -2 g's wouldn't be double weightless would it? In theory anything less than gravity is less than gravity, but please correct me if i'm wrong any coaster physics nerds out there. You say its awesome but I think it still needs less restraints and more speed, and more wood. (it seriously looks awesome, I really wish i could of been there Saturday)
Moose
Nope, you can have any multiplier be it positive or negative of g's? The "g" is a unit of measurements just like an inch, foot or meter is for length, so limiting the "force" to -1g would be completely arbitrary. For the record, I did not like the EXTREME airtime hill, I prefer floaty air over getting slammed upward into the restraint.
OldJJman
Gives Intamin a run for their money. Ok. Who hacked Elissa's account???
CoryPa77
0g is weightless, where -1g would be 1x your body weight in the upward direction (assuming you're vertical coordinate system has positive in the down direction) and -2g would be 2x your weight being lifted up. Basically, hanging upside down would create the same effect as going over a -1g hill on a roller coaster.

alpengeistfan1
Where would you place this coaster, in relation to some of the other top woodies (El Toro, Voyage, etc.)
Skycoastin Steve
^She would probably rank it with I305, Expedition GeForce, Bizarro, etc.
SharkTums
^^I think most people out there know my feelings on the Voyage. I find it completely unrideable as it is so rough and 'rattley'. Texas Giant feels a lot more like the Intamin woodies (or even Intamin Hypers!), which I love. It's hard for me to rank it because it is very different (is it wood or steel!?!? omg!?!?) But it's easily a top five coaster on either list! The ejector airtime is just insane. The only real disappointment is the second tunnel. The train just seems to slow down and drag so much in there that it kind of kills it. If that second tunnel either had an airtime hill or just something that didn't slow down, it could be top three or higher!

rollin_n_coastin
Whatever it is, it is a fantastic roller coaster! The airtime was a bit harsh but in a good way if that makes sense? Definitely is Intamin-esque without a doubt. I guess the closest comparison in terms of structure only are Gemini, Excalibur or mine trains but on steroids, growth hormone and above all, done right. Agree about the Voyage. I got a great first hand critique sitting behind you and Robb in the last row back in August. I wish I could have ridden it new. packfanlv
I agree that it was good in the morning, but the night rides really made it for me. My only complaint is that they were stapling us in even when the green light was lit, but the ride is new and they are just doing their jobs. Thanks for another great event!!! I had a blast! robbalvey
^ I agree that the lap bars were pushed down tight...but here's the reality of the situation... I'd much rather have a tight lap bar on an AWESOME ride than a ride that has been trimmed or modified due to someone doing something stupid. My lap bar was down really tight on every single ride...and my rides were still awesome! And the last thing I wanted to have happen is for them to cut our ERT short because people were being stupid and trying to circumvent the safety restraint. Quite frankly, it was embarrassing as hell to me that they had to ask me to make that announcement, and I made that announcement harsh because I wanted everyone to know that when Robb Alvey is finally being serious....he MEANS it!!! --Robb "Wasn't quite as embarrassing as the f**king idiots that booed Kings Dominion for the trims on I-305...but close!" coasterkarl
vast difference b/w morning and evening ERT...the evening ERT was really amazing..the ride does slow down quite a bit towards the end (as noted by the 2nd tunnel comments earlier.there are some areas where the airtime is a hard lapbar jab to the thigh....its definately a steel coaster (you guys have seen the red ibeam tracks right?)...its also very re-ride able which is always a plus in my book. Is it a #1 steel coaster? that will always be debated....but its definitely top 10 material! But can i just say hats off to Robb & Elissa for an amazing event and to SFOT for their amazing hospitality...BRAVO!!!
