Angry_Gumball Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 ^Yea, those things... I finally learned to toss it in the air and successfully catch it. My brother also got one (We bought Duncan Phoenix's, I like the Duncan brand, they've always made great yo-yos) so him and I are kind of learning together on this via Youtube and stuff. What kind do you have, just curious.
onewheeled999 Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 I've got a yellow Higgins Brothers one, I've had it for something like three or four years now. It's gotten pretty scratched up from throwing it like 30 feet in the air and having it land on cement, which is expected, but it still works like a charm. Â I think I'm gonna go online and look for some new tricks to learn.

Again, from 30-foot launches and only catching it 50% of the time...all out in the street. I thought my brother was going to land it on the telephone wires...which would have been impressive!
amyzoo Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 So today I saw a mom smash her kid into a door with her shopping cart. Â Little boy, probably 3, started running towards the exit door. She wanted to stop him from running outside so she chased him pushing her shopping cart. When he got to the automatic door it didn't open because he was pretty small, and she didn't stop in time, smashing him into door so hard the doors popped open. I had to turn away so wouldn't laugh in front of her!
ebl Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 ^ Do they have Parenting 101 classes where you live? Sounds like she ought to take one... Â Eric

In the Cirque du Soleil show La Nouba in Downtown Disney they have a bunch of little Chinese girls who are awesome at it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59J8Sn11Na0  If you skip to about 2:00 they start doing some crazy stuff.
ebl Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 REMEMBER! Turn your clocks ahead one hour tonight at 2am (unless your area doesn't do that---Hawaii, Arizona, etc.). Â Eric

MayTheGForceBeWithYou Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Was going to take some photos for a TR of the Royal Gorge Bridge...but I forgot my camera.
Angry_Gumball Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 ^Yes, definitely amazing. Â I'm now tempted...is it worth starting a Diabolo thread on here? Or will it probably end up dead?
onewheeled999 Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Maybe a general juggling thread would be more appropriate, diabolo-ing is just a single division of that general hobby.
Angry_Gumball Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Skill toy thread? Can cover yoyos, diabolo, astrojax, poi...
ebl Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 ^ Poi is a paste made from the root of the taro tree. Hawaiians have it as part of their diet. But that isn't important right now... Â Eric
mwm1444 Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Just checked my Libsyn stats and discovered every episode of my podcast so far was downloaded by someone in Japan (in the Hyogo prefecture, so pretty far from the epicentre) in the last two days.
Sheep-O-Matic Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 My dad is in the morgue... let him freeze to death.
amyzoo Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Today I threw away a chapstick because it was actually all used up. I don't know if I've ever finished a whole chapstick before.
Angry_Gumball Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 (edited) Busy day at work, now to go download the demo for the new Mortal Kombat game Edited March 16, 2011 by Angry_Gumball
SharkTums Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 ^We're aware. Go ahead and report the page and it should be down within a week. People are so childish and lame!
MeMeMe Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Crap... I was flossing and suddenly- POP -a filling fell out. I thought it was a rock for a sec and then I realized... Just wow.
cal1br3tto Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 "Queuing" can also be spelled "queueing". Â Yeah, no thanks.
Ace Of Spades Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 I have to use cabbage...for a science lab...on St. Patrick's day. Â Irony?
