xVicesAndVirtues
This is the best thread I've seen in a long time! I've been on 8. All the coast-to-coasters, and to be honest, the only one I really *hate* is LaRonde's. That thing needs the new trains pretty badly. Carolina Cobra was probably the most enjoyable by no headbanging, but the truly "smoothest" is either Great Escape's, Hershey's, or Lake Compounce's. Boomerang - La Ronde (Operating 1984) Boomerang Coast to Coaster - Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (Operating 3/27/1998) Boomerang Coast to Coaster - Great Escape & Splashwater Kingdom (Operating 5/23/1997) Boomerang Coast to Coaster - Darien Lake (Operating 5/16/1998) Carolina Cobra - Carowinds (Operating 3/28/2009) Flashback - Six Flags New England (Operating 5/5/2000) Sidewinder - Hersheypark (Operating 5/11/1991) Zoomerang - Lake Compounce (Operating 6/27/1997)

cal1br3tto
I don't bother ranking most Boomerangs anymore. Most are either slightly fun or completely forgettable. 10 Boomerangs Boomerang, KBF Boomerang, SFFT Boomerang, WOF Boomerang Coast to Coaster, SFDK Boomerang Coast to Coaster, TGE Flashback, SFOT Flashback, SFNE Sea Serpent, Morey's Piers Sidewinder, Hersheypark Zoomerang, Lake Compounce 2 Invertigos Invertigo, CGA Invertigo, KI 2 GIBs Aftershock, Silverwood Deja Vu, SFMM Edited May 23, 2012 by cal1br3tto

rcdude
I've been on five (listed in order of riding): Boomerang at Knott's Berry Farm Carolina Cobra at Carowinds Zoomerang at Lake Compounce Flashback at Six Flags New England Boomerang Coast to Coaster at Great Escape & Splashwater Kingdom Additionally, I have missed two that I would have gotten due to the rides being closed all day: Boomerang Coast to Coaster at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom Boomerang at La Ronde As for rankings, all boomerangs I have been on fall into one of two categories: worth riding again if there is a minimal wait (one or two trains), or not worth riding again period. More fall into category one than category two, with the best boomerang being the one at Compounce and the worst the one at SFNE. I will also ride all boomerangs to get the credit, unless the wait is excessive (more than 45 minutes) or I haven't gotten to all the higher priority attractions yet. VinTheAttendant
I actually kind of like boomerangs, so I kind of want to ride more in the future. But here's what I have for now. Classic boomerang: Flashback - Six Flags New England Zoomerang - Lack Compounce Sea Serpent - Morey's Piers Sidewinder - Hersheypark Boomerang - Knott's Berry Farm GIB: Deja Vu - Six Flags Over Georgia Deja Vu - Six Flags Magic Mountain UPDATE: Goliath - Six Flags New England (though I don't count it as a new credit, just in a new location) Edited May 23, 2012 by VinTheAttendant
cal1br3tto
Sadly, I am now up to 11 Boomerangs. At least I kind of enjoyed my last one... Skycoastin Steve
I immediately regret it every time that cable starts pulling the train up the first hill. I should be getting a new Boomerang in Ocean City this Friday. After that, I only have four left in the U.S.
george greenway
2012 Bomerang Tally: There's a new variety of Junior Boomerang and its very smooth and uninvolving, its non inverting which makes it a family attraction. I've ridden the one in my local park, "BEN-10", Drayton manor, Staffordshire, England. There is one other in the world, which I'm due to visit in July in France at Parc Tourist des Combes, not an easy park to get to. I'm due to ride the brand new Giant Inverted Boomerang in Jin Jiang Park, Shanghai in September. its been over 10 years since the last of these was installed There is currently only 1 operating in USA, at Silverwood, relocated from 6FGAm and one in Spain; Parque Warner. the one from 6FMM is being built up in 6FNE the one in Italy is from 6FOG and is not errected yet I've riden all the Giant Inverted ones in USA and Spain, in their original location, some took 5 visits to the park to find it operating, 6FMM was the toughest to get. JJLehto
One. Sidewinder at Hershey Park. I'm content on keeping it at one. Quality over quantity...much as it'd be nice to pad the number I avoid the things. Ironically the new trains on Sidewinder are....*chokes*...smooth! Turns the ride from brain trauma to actually enjoyable.
