Jackdude101
Move somewhere with fewer trailer parks than Central Florida? Well, that would certainly not be hard to do!
xVicesAndVirtues
Figured I'd resurrect this thread and ask this question...has anyone heard anything from Fun Spot regarding Phase 2 or 2014/2015 plans, or as all been silent? Their concept art for Phase 2 including the waterpark looked awesome! Hopefully they'll get it off the ground in the near future!

The company, with locations in Kissimmee and near International Drive in Orlando, is now selling, for a limited time, an annual pass that works at both Fun Spots. It sells for $89.95. The offer runs through Nov. 30. There are no black-out dates for the passes, which expire one year from activation. Fun Spot locations include carnival games and ride, roller coasters, go-kart tracks and other amusements. Guests can buy all-access wristbands or pay per ride. Annual passholders receive bands each day. There is neither admission fee nor parking charges. The passes also include a SkyCoaster package (flight before 7 p.m., video, T-shirt) at each of the parks. Passholders receive a 10 percent discount on food, beverage and ride armbands for friends and family. The tickets can be purchased at either park or online (funspotattractions.com). robbalvey
Here are a few videos we have put together for Fun Spot. My personal favorite is probably the Flyers video, but check them all out! We had a lot of fun doing these shoots!

Their concept art for Phase 2 including the waterpark looked awesome! Hopefully they'll get it off the ground in the near future! I emailed Fun Spot about how it would be really cool if they built a big roller coaster at their other location by Celebration, Florida. They said that they are not going to build anything major right now (most likely to pay off the debt from building all the current new stuff), BUT they did casually mention that they WILL be adding a new roller coaster to their other location in the future. This was the President himself who responded, which was unexpected and very awesome.
robbalvey
^ They are truly "family owned." So it doesn't surprise me that he responded directly. (It's kinda nice, isn't it?) Edited December 24, 2013 by robbalvey
DanM64
^^It is really nice that the park president took the time to respond to your email! The videos were very well done Robb. Those flyers look like good ones! Are you always allowed to snap them? Fun Spot seems like a nice park. I need to visit Orlando again soon! jray21
I really like the direction Fun Spot is heading, especially with the addition of the trapeze classes. Now I can do a little workout, and pick up some credits at the same place!
Stu K
New coaster for fun spot ? Fun Spot News ! a quote from John Aire in park world this month. When asked what caught you eye at iaapa trade show. he replied " i love the chance rides hyper coaster that they are building for Kentucky kingdom and the zamperla thunderbolt coaster for coney island. we're probably going to be in the market for one of these in the near future." Wow this little park is going for it! Stu K
jedimaster1227
If they buy a hyper coaster, I'll finally be inclined to buy an annual pass.
gisco
^That would be great but I would think it will be a while before they expand again
Invertalon
I don't think it could be that far out there to say they could within the next two years or so. Depending how profitable they are since their recent expansions, if the money is good, paying their current bills and profit in their pockets... They would for sure go ahead and expand. If they were just breaking even, obviously it would not be worth it anytime soon. Not sure how much attendance has gone up since the expansions... But we have been going down to Orlando since 2004 or so, and we never went until White Lightning and such was put in... Now we have annual passes for the place! I am sure there are many others just like me! I wish them luck though... The park is a lot of fun, even for being so limited compared to other options in the area. One thing that stands out to me though is the fantastic staff... They are always amazing... Dare I say more than Universal, Disney, etc... At least in my experience. Having fun, interacting, talking with everyone. I have not seen that many other places. I would love to see a mini-hyper though... Would be great for the park and draw in even more people routinely. jray21
If they buy a hyper coaster, I'll finally be inclined to buy an annual pass. That would be amazing. I really hope these new additions are working out for them and that we'll see more expansions and rides in the future.
