astroworldfan1 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I hate how one of my favorite teachers is giving an English I Honors test the day we get back from a four day weekend.
ebl Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Today's rant: When people you thought liked you "defriend" you on Facebook. I've had it happen a few times---I don't lose sleep over it, but it does make you wonder what you might have said on there. Â Eric
Thelegendarymatthew Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 The Pencil Sharpeners broke The Printer isn't working I left my colored pencils at school. Â I just failed 3 class's
astroworldfan1 Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 The Pencil Sharpeners brokeI just failed 3 class's  I have a feeling one of them must be grammar. You never pluralize words by adding an apostrophe 's'.  Sorry, I just could not pass up an opportunity to help a grammatically incorrect kid.
Thelegendarymatthew Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 ^I passed my midterm with a low A, which surprised me because if you haven't noticed I'm horrible at all English related stuff. Also, I know you and all the other grammar Nazis are trying to help me. In fact, I've used the advice on written assignments before, and they've helped. So here is a cookie. Â I did not do so good on the 1st semester. I was told that if I became a bit more organized I would be able to achieve honor roll. They also said once I can become organized, I could probably start taking AP courses. Even though I'm not going to take one next year, because I heard 10th grade is a pretty hard year. Â Thanks, and I hope to do better this semester. -Matt
atem122 Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 ^I did not do well during the 1st semester. I was told that if I became a bit more organized I would be able to achieve honor roll. Â Thanks, and I hope to do better this semester. -Matt Why wouldn't you take any APs in 10th grade? 10th and 11th grade are the years to take APs. Sure they do create a hellish year (insert 1 of 50 quotes in this thread of me complaining about AP Euro), but they help you get into a little thing called college.
CreditCrazy Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 (insert 1 of 50 quotes in this thread of me complaining about AP Euro)  Okay  I am going to literally drown with homework this year, and Jazz band, and Cross Country. On the plus side my friend who's a year older had pretty much my exact same schedule last year and had over a 4.0 GPA so there is hope!  I took my first AP Exam today which I studied very hard for, of course I didnt quite understand the essay topic to it's fullest extend, so I'm probably not gonna ace it.  It's 11:00pm...and I still have AP Euro HW to finish...  Thanks to homework, I probably wont be able to celebrate my birthday until next week  Guess there aren't that many afterall...haha

I'm currently in English Honors I.
atem122 Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 ^^LOL!!!!! I wasn't lying. Â ^I did not do well during the 1st semester. ebl Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 ^ We had annual passes at my school. I don't see why you can't get one. Â My rant du jour is when you're talking to someone and they're waving their arms all over the place. They can't simply say, "It's over on the right." Instead, they say, "It's over there!" and proceed to point---arm fully extended right in your face. Â This is as aggravating as people who verbally list one or two things and end it with "...and stuff like that." Â *WHEW* That felt good. Maybe I'll go out for a walk now. Â Eric
thrillgeek Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 I have type 1 Diabetes and my blood sugar always seems to go low when I'm at work. I get all weak and shaky and I cant concentrate. It pisses me off.
Thelegendarymatthew Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 @Atem, you got to realize something, I have too many flaws, that i need to fix before getting into a collage leveled class. Its going to take some time to get all of these fixed. I hope you understand. Â However, I do plan on taking all advance courses for the 10th grade year(besides English). Â At my school you have 4 levels. -Improvment -Regular -Advance -AP
ebl Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 ^^ That's why you make sure you have some snacks handy---in a drawer, locker, whatever. Sometimes that happens to me, and I can always get a square of chocolate or a few M&Ms to give me the boost. Â Eric
frozenflames Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 The iTunes store raised prices on pretty much all popular songs to $1.29 each. So annoying!
mike541x Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 I really hate it when people go in a drive-tru of a fast food place and order $70 worth of food for their friends.
gisco Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 ^ I know what you mean. I was in the drive thru at Starbucks the other morning. The car in front of me was at the window for over 10 minutes. I counted a least a dozen drinks. If your going to order for the whole damn office, go inside.
thrillgeek Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 I worked all day in the Pharmacy today at CVS when normally I'm a cashier at the front. I hate it when they cut hours from other parts of the store than the other employees have to suffer.
KDcoasterMAN Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 I live in Virginia! It is not suppose to snow this much!
holidayworld08 Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 I waited too long to ask this girl I like (and am currently good friends with) out and now she's dating this jerk who's going to treat her like crap. She seems to have a knack for finding awful guys like him. By the way, his last girlfriend always had bruises on her face. After they stopped dating, she stopped getting bruises.
spacemtfan Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 First off, love the new TPR Forum look... Â Now, onto the rant... Â I'm not sure if anyone knows who Christian Weston Chandler is, but basically, he has to be the one person you would hate to meet in real-life. He's absolutely crazy. This is a guy who believes that if you take Sonic and Pikachu and mix them together into "Sonichu", it's an original character that you can claim as your own . Â He is also the most sexist, homphobic, racist, egolitisical, disgusting, and most hypocritical person I have ever learned about. Â But then again, he's nothing but an "internet celebrity" with no social life whatsoever. He's nothing to raise hell about... Â ---space "back from TPR hiatus" mtfan
Manny In England Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 he's nothing but an "internet celebrity" Â More of a long running, living internet joke than a celebrity.
KPWoCkAxX Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 I've had enough with the rest of the world! So what! I'm different. Deal with it... Don't just stand there and judge me on first sight. Why not actually take the time to get to know me? I wear a certain piece of clothing or cut my hair a certain way and i'm instantly branded. Get over yourself! Stop being a steriotypical, judgemental... Best not finish that sentence. Â I'm not so sure on the TPR style though... It just seems a bit too busy. If that makes any sense at all?
Pirouettes907 Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 I'm procrastinating on calling Southwest to re-re-schedule my flight back to St. Louis that was supposed to leave Philadelphia Wednesday, and then Thursday, and now...who knows. Knowing that I'll have to hold at least 45 mins. to an hour does not exactly have me in a jolly mood, even though it's not the airline's fault in the slightest. I guess the good part about this is that they at least admit how long the waiting times are. Bah humbug to the snow, I say! Â ~Megan
