Raven Maven
^Part of me thinks that new covered bridge is there to semi hide the fact that that walkway goes right over a maintenance road. I remember thinking a couple of times how seeing that maintenance road might take away from the whole "being-in-a-theme-park" feel. Yes, that's definitely the main reason - to create a more festive entrance to Thanksgiving and to reduce the visibility of the access road. Raven Maven
I'm wiling to bet something like that happened last season Nah, nothing that dramatic. We just want to provide a more festive entrance to Thanksgiving and to lessen the view of our behind-the-scenes roads.
Midgetman82
I've noticed that if the Thanksgiving area ever needed to be switched to a more serious tone (not saying it should), it could easily transgress from Pilgrims to Vikings. The website looks nice, and the bridge sounds like a wonderful addition. It would definitely compliment the Thanksgiving area. Would the big Thanksgiving sign be placed within the bridge, at the front, or stay on Voyage?

mongo
So is it crazy to assume that in 2014 Holiday World will announce a new MAJOR ride for 2015? After all, it will be about ten years since The Voyage was announced.

palmerleeberry
Okay, I'll change the subject. I'm looking forward to returning to Holiday World this year (along with Kentucky Kingdom and Kings Island) and besides riding their newest ride Mayflower, I'm also looking to ride the other rides they have and all their coasters - both wooden and water. But here's a thought I had: Do you think that Holiday World could benefit by installing another dark ride, but with a haunted theme, in their Halloween section of the park? I'll say make it a tradition haunted house attraction with scary monsters jumping out at you from every turn. I'm sure they could find an area to install that attraction. What do all you riders and amusement park flyers think?
Koasterking48
^ Unless they remove an attraction, there is simply no room for a dark ride in Halloween. Plus, the topography wouldn't really support a large building for a dark ride.
HWFan
^ I remember hearing back around 2006 when they built the Gobbler Getaway hearing some kind of interview or something where Will said that Gobbler Getaway wouldn't be the last dark ride you'll see that Holiday World, so that implies that they were at least including another one in their long term plan. I think that Halloween would be the most logical location for it.
