tycoonrebel7188 Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 The Knight Valley coaster made its first test run. There is video on GCI's Facebook page. This thing looks like it is hauling through the entire course.
eddie200330 Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Now that's some serious ass haulin.... Oh the possibilities here in the states with some of the great terrain parks we have!!
samisthabomb Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Dear God, that thing is MASSIVE! And it's haulin' butt! Folks, it looks like GCI built another "great coaster"! (Hah, get it? "GREAT coaster"? You do? But it's lame? Okay, I'll stop trying. )
KDcoasterMAN Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Intamin called... they wanted their mojo back!
6flagsbrad Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 This is what I wish Terminator (Apocalypse) at Magic Mountain should have turned out like. If they had used just a little bit of the terrain anywhere around the park, it could be so much better. This thing looks wicked, great video.
Airtime&Gravity Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Wow, I was a little concerned when the animated pov was posted, and it looked like a wooden "Jet Coaster". I doubt it'll top the Intamin pre-fab coasters, but this looks like a contender for one of the top wooden coasters in the world. It looks like a great ride nonetheless. Now, we just have to hope the park's maintenance department can keep it running to the best of its ability.
robbalvey Posted January 18, 2011 Author Posted January 18, 2011 All I can say is... Â TPR 2012 China Trip!
CoasterCard Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 The first drop sequence looks to be everything I thought it would be and more. Â I can't wait to see a POV of this ride just to see how much airtime there is on that drop and the view while diving off of the hillside.
Hayzle Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 At :37 seconds in the thing looks like it goes into warpspeed holy crap!
GeorgeT Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 The most promising Test Run I ever saw of any Coaster...
eddie200330 Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 It almost kinda reminds one of how the K'nex Coasters whip around the loop real fast with that crazy speed and then just dart to the next point. It all seems to happen so fast. It really does look amazing.
alpengeist04 Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Even on the video, you can tell this thing is really hauling arse throughout the entire course.
Guy T. Koepp Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 It does look very fast. And it seems to maintain it's speed very well. However, I still think the elements look long and drawn out. I will have to abstain judgement until riding.
tiger01 Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 (edited) Hopefully we will get a POV soon. Photo from GCI's Facebook Page. Edited January 27, 2011 by tiger01
deathbydinn Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Â The POV is making its way back from China one frame at a time... Â GCI Facebook
PhantomNick Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 This coaster looks simply phenomenal! I may never make it to China to ride this thing, but I think this might end up being GCI's best coaster design yet! And that test run video?? *Droooool*
