Are you working during the holidays?

Just curious if people have this week (between christmas and new years) off work or if you're working right now?

Because I am taking so many great TPR trips next year, I don't have vacation time to take this week off.

Well I am only working two days this week. I'm off starting Wednesday.

 

I'm in the same boat as Moose. I have to watch all my vacation days, but it is so worth it!

Because I work at a hockey arena for a junior team, games are usually only once or twice a week. Also, since most players are 16-18, they get a Christmas break. My next shift is New Years day.

I'm working to gain more vacation. We already get paid for the holiday period from 12/23-1/4, any additional time worked gains personal time. But it still sucks being here.

Nope, I'm off all this week and loving it. Got to sleep in a bit this morning, went for a jog without having to "pretend" I was online for work. Hopefully taking the kids to SFMM tomorrow and then spending Wed-Friday at Disneyland.

I'm working this week. To be honest, I don't really like celebrating X-mas and NY and I'll be glad these days have passed again. Also, I love the fact that there no traffic jams at all this week.

I am working some days this week, but that's because Toverland (where I work) is open 365 days a year, and my school isn't.

Last week I worked 10 hours Christmas Eve and then went back in at 1am Christmas night and worked another 12 1/2 hours Saturday. Today I went in at 1am and will be going in 1am every other day this week except for Wednesday. Yes, that includes New Years Eve/night. ...So yea I'm working this week.

Many larger Advertising Agencies are closed between Christmas and New Year's. My Agency is closed this week, but I'm on call if the client's send an urgent e-mail.

I working Every night this week except for Friday. I also have a 10 hour day on Sunday! I'm happy about this, I like to whore as many hours as I can when I'm on a break so that my bank account will have a little bit of a cushion when the semester starts.

Tomorrow is my last day of work, so I'm trying to finish as much as I can today. Then Wednesday I will be in LA to ring in the New Year.

I am working this whole week. Apparently some people use this holiday vacation as an excuse to visit parks so we who work there have a very busy weak. Just kidding, I couldn't miss my work for too long. Everyday something fun happens. Today I worked 9 hours in the cold but I can have it. My next vacation will be in june. I will meet up with some other coaster enthusiasts and we will tour some parks in europe

Sadley I have to go into work for another poxy 8 hour night shift tonight and then again tomorrow night. Then I am away for new year.

The news (or lack there of sometimes) doesn't go on vacation for the Holidays so I don't get time off. And I like it that way. Holiday pay is 2.5 times and makes for a nice check when there is two holidays on it. Plus bosses are gone quite a bit during the Holiday's making it nice day at work. Sorta nice being essential staff to put on a product.

 

If I wanted to, I could take the Holiday's off and not lose any money, but wouldn't get holiday pay. Only 8 normal hour pay.

I'm at my desk right now. I start my new promotion on January 4th, so I have a lot to do to get organized for it, but I really don't mind.

I am on vacation. I will be off work from the 28th until Jan 7th. I left for NY on the 27th and will be heading home on the 5th. I am spending time with family, I know I won't want to go home when the time comes!

Since I have no school this week, McDonald's has been working me a lot more than usual. I even have a shift in 1 hour and 30 minutes!
