While I never seen a fortune cookie while I was living in Taiwan or during my travels to China and Hong Kong (Did you ever see one Robb?), I always look foward to seeing what kind of fortune I would receive after stuffing myself full of Chinese food. Share your most recent fortune you received right here.

My most recent fortune is a strange one:

"When you are squeezed, what comes out is what is inside."

Ok, I hope nobody tries to find this out with me this upcoming week...Ewwwww!

I got one once that read something like, "May the luck of the Irish smile on you always." WTF?!?!? Out of a fortune cookie? I think it was printed in green ink, too.

I once got a fortune that read "The only thornless rise is friendship".

Even if the typo had read rose like I think it should have, it doensn't make much sense.

I got one that said:

"Bad Luck and Extreme Misfortune will infect your soul for all of eternity"

well, no, not really...anyone know where that quote is from gets bonus points!

Seriously though, the one on my fridge right now says:

"You are almost there"

well gee, thanks!

Sounds like something right out of Urusei Yatsura...but I really don't know. Someone mentioned Holes..is that worth seeing?

I don't remeber what my last one said. I usualy don't read them anyway.

I've thought of some good ones that If I ever wrote the things I would make them. Like "Look out behind you!" or "You have gum on the bottom of your shoe." Stupid stuff like that.

Well, maybe I am the only one that does this, but I am quite surprised no one has mentioned this yet, but there is a little trick to fortune cookies. Add the phrase "...in bed." to the end of the fortune. It makes the serious ones good, and the ones that make no sense even better. Like "Learn Chinese In bed." See?

Well I got these two in the past week.

"You will always be surrounded by true friends... In bed."

and

"Your talents will be recognized and rewarded... In bed."

WOOT!

Rocko's Modern Life from back in the day on Nikelodeon. Filburt goes to a chinese restaurant and they show the guy at the factory in front of a typewriter making up happy fortunes, then he plunks down that one. Filburt gets upset because of it, buys a massive bag of fourtune cookies to try and get a better one, but they all wind up being that same one.......it was great. Still got all that memorized from one of the best shows EVER!!!

Oh, and I would have posted it too, it's my favorite thing to recite when I have a fourtune cookie's paper in my fingers.......throws everyone but those who know for a loop. Only thing is, I remember it as "Bad luck and misfourtune will rule your pathetic soul for all eternity"......google didn't help much either.

A bunch of friends & I were playing the classic "...in bed!" fortune cookie game after a big Chinese meal together, and most were pretty good.
