traincrossin Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 ^Shockwave at Drayton Manor has a zero-g roll too. http://rcdb.com/814.htm This will be the first B&M with one though and second in the world!
Bolliger&Mabillard Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 ^See? B&M does break records...Take that Sandor!
robbalvey Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 ^See? B&M does break records...Take that Sandor! Um...Sandor built the first stand-up with a zero-G roll...
Gigalyte Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 ^^How is it breaking any records by being the first B&M stand up with a zero g? Ā Also would that Blue inverted layout be the first B&M inverted without a zero g roll or is that a zero g roll by the station, anyways looks like it going to be a fun ride with or without a zero g.
mr. cockblock Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 I'm really digging that color scheme on the stand-up coaster. Looks very pretty!
BigDipper 80 Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Well, that came completely out of left field. Cool.
RoCo Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Wait, WHAT?! Ā A new stand-up coaster? Britney's "Baby One More Time" is playing on the radio, the Clinton Impeachment trial is winding down, I just heard another Y2K joke... Ā Did I time-warp back to 1999? Freaky, man...
KDCOASTERFAN Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Wait, WHAT?! Ā A new stand-up coaster? Ā Well B&M will build whatever ride type the client asks for,I wonder if we may see a redesign of the trains to make for a better ride with this one?
RoCo Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 ^I always thought the B&M stand-up trains were pretty awesome. Heck, I LOVE B&M stand-ups (well, the huge ones and Georgia Scorcher, though it's been ages since I rode GS).
Ed Farmer Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 *Awesome* to see a new B&M standup, even if it isn't one I'll ever try out. With so many interesting projects going in overseas, this one just became the one I'm most interested in. I love B&M standups.

ebl Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Personally, I've always liked the standup concept and am glad to see another one being built. Ā Eric
cal1br3tto Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 While I do understand the "fad" label and I know stand-ups have various drawbacks, I've enjoyed every installation I've ridden. And I've ridden some of the worst! No problems here with the revival.
sclisso Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Yeah, I agree. I like the stand up coasters. I mean yeah, it does suck to have your balls crushed, but other than that, I like the feel of them. When I go to carowinds every year, I always get 2-3 rides on Vortex before I leave. I'm really liking that color scheme.
jamesS Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 I think its great to see B&M trying new things lately, such as, Ā A dive loop on a inverted coaster Ā A loop on a flying coaster Ā A new wingrider style coaster at Gardenland Ā And of-course this new zero g roll on a stand up coaster Ā This is a big step seeing that B&M likes to play it safe.
A.J. Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 It looks sort of like Daemonen - not because of the layout itself, but of how tight and compact the layout appears to be.
Gutterflower Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Ā You can see the layout here. Not a long layout by any means but a dive loop and an immelmen either side of the zero-g-roll is a nice touch.
A.J. Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Inclined loop, dive loop, zero-G, immelman, corkscrew, airtime hill, turn, brake run. Ā I like it!
tiger01 Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 It's wierd how it's sort of on the side of a steep drop. I like the look of the inline twist though...And to everyone who's going on the China Trip...Enjoy! It's as though China Is building this just for TPRs Trip!

Ā Where's the inverted coaster and the flying coaster being built?
