Sir Clinksalot
Psyclone post Earthquake had no redeeming qualities at all, and even when it was 'good' pre-earthquake it sure didn't make anyone's top ten lists. I don't expect Terminator to make anyone outside of SoCal's Top Ten lists, but it will be a really solid B+ Ride. Psyclone pre-earthquake was probably in my top-10 ... granted, I had only ridden about 15-20 coasters at the time. I can see Terminator EASILY being in my Top 5 woodies, granted that's not going to be very hard to accomplish considering the crap woodies I've ridden. I can't see it beating Phoenix or even something like Lightning Racer, but I can see it overtaking some other woodies on my list quite easily. robbalvey
So...with the media day next week I'm surprised we haven't seen any testing video. Anyone....? The trains JUST got put on the track, what, yesterday? I would imagine that we may see something in the next day or two. --Robb
ghost007jas
^ According to Magic Mountain's Facebook page they were put on the track Monday, I believe. Granted, just because the ride is testing does not mean that anyone has been out there to see it.. Right?
alexinla
I loved Psyclone when it first opend, it was my favorite ride at the park. I was not the only one as the line usually went from the entrance thru the huge switchback(where Dejy Vu these days is) all the way up to the entrance of Roaring Rapids It was a great coaster first, especially the first drop. I am just hoping Tim Burkhard(?) or someone from Magic Mountain can at some point take a little time and post here and let us know in there opinion the reasons why the ride went to crab at some point
SharkTums
Also don't forget that this ride is much smaller, at the back of the park, and they'll be testing it outside of park operation hours, so really the only decent testing video will have to be supplied by SFMM. SuperMikeo
The only way Knott's can "fix" GhostRider is to Hercules it. Tear it down, put a floorless in that spot and call it "Ghost Buster". HAHAHAHA!! Off-topic, I know, but yeah, that was hilarious. Anytime someone tells me the "it is supposed to be rough" argument, I always ask them "did it open that way?" I can't think of one woodie that is rough right outta the box. Usually, a rough coaster is attributed to neglect. Unacceptable. GCI, being the woodie tycoons that they are, probably offer the best customer support around for proper woodie upkeep. Yeah, I said "woodie" too many times. So what. Be an adult. Boner. coastermoosh
Rob sez: The trains JUST got put on the track, what, yesterday? I would imagine that we may see something in the next day or two. Ah, ok. A recent news article had mentioned testing was to begin Sunday (but obviously that didn't happen). Thanks Rob!

Sticky Nicky
Let's not forget that Renegade at Valleyfair first tested about 4 days before the media day. Testing could start today or it could start on Saturday. No one knows right now.
SuperMikeo
Ya know, I'm guilty of this too, but I LOVE how excited we nerds get regarding the whole "testing thing." For some, even knowing the ride tested seems to induce giddiness. So this is for you. Terminator already tested. Many times...on an AutoCAD engineering software. The good news? It works! In two weeks, many of us will have already ridden it and will be arguing about how it compares to other GCI's. As far as the LA Times guy being wrong...um, duh? It is the frickin' LA Times!!! Maybe he walked into a board room and saw "testing" written on a dry-erase board. If you want reliable coaster news, here is a link to Coasterbuzz. Shut up. I'm joking. And besides, you can't view news unless you are a due-paying member. Good deal for the 3 yearly events that you get to attend (all of which happen at King's Island.) Boy, I love TPR. X2coasterfreak
I had a dream about Terminator last night. It was really weird, I went to SFMM with my dad and as soon as we got there we poofed to Terminator. We walked through the line where they had parts of the train covered in hay. So we get to the first pre show and it is that Common raper dude talking to us and is saying the maggots will eat your brains. Then we were in the next pre show and that actress tell us to get ready for the attack.(Note: the videos look like they do in the pictures) Then we come into a Space Mountainish station and watch and over head video and board these random trains. The front end of the lead car was like a, I want to say Rockin' Rollercoaster car.The ride was short and boring that is all I remember. Terminator better not be like this, it was horrible
stuartnz
Common raper dude talking to us and is saying the maggots will eat your brains. Common raper? Maggots eating our brains? That has got to be the best theming I've ever heard of. Hopefully your dream comes true!

rawrtotheargh
X2coasterfreak I would bet money on Terminator not sucking. It may not be the best woodie ever, but it will definitely not suck. And you may want to look "raper" up. Because that is most definitely not the family friendly kind of direction that Six Flags is going for. At least I think. I had a dream about Terminator last night too. But it was just a POV. Nothing exciting.

ebl
"Terminator already tested. Many times...on an AutoCAD engineering software. The good news? It works!" (SuperMikeo) AutoCAD? As a daily user of said program, I can tell you that unless you're kidding, there are FAR better ways to test this. ProE and SolidWorks come to mind... Shellemonster
I would make love to Solidworks if it could do that kind of testing, but I'm sorry to say our current relationship is strictly business. Modeling a wooden coaster seems terribly daunting in both design and computation. More so than a steel coaster.
