Diamondbacker27
Yes, I'm with those that don't think this is the parks most exciting addition in its history. I would much rather ride IR or Superman. But, that's just me.
nRoK
The space available behind the coaster could be used for future attractions. I think SFFT will still announce a new show and some theming around the new coaster this evening. It's better then getting a "not a coaster" flat ride. Also to the person above complaining about the teasers. A lot of parks throw stuff out there to throw you off. It's part of the fun. Exactly, people just aren't happy unless they get what they envisioned in their head. With the production of a new possible show and re-theming of the area this is a much bigger project than I think people are realizing. Hopefully, we get all the juicy details during tonight's preview. The teaser tweet with the electrical cords I'm guessing is to power the Bat Signal. Which I hope is a huge spot light, like what was featured in the films. I'm also curious if it will be the Tim Burton version of the Bat Mobile or the Tumbler in the Christopher Nolan adaptation. My guess is Tim Burton since they are using the Tim Burton Bat Logo.
King
I actually like the ride and wasn't expecting a B&M, RCM, or GCI. I'm totally against the retheming of any portion of Rockville though. SFFT should've named it Flashback left the rest of the area as is.
VF15
I feel like the only person legitimately happy about this attraction. Don't worry, you're not. I think that this looks like a great coaster. Lots of flipping and dropping should make for a fun-filled ride. I'm quite surprised that this is how it turned out after all these teasers. Doesn't look as good as Twisted Colossus or Wicked Cyclone, but still very thrilling, and should be a great addition to Fiesta Texas. Too bad some coaster enthusiasts will always find something to complain about. Yeah, it's going to have awful capacity, but it looks like fun, and that's really all I can ask of it. As for it being named Batman: The Ride, it's Six Flags. What did you expect? Edited August 28, 2014 by VF15
Coasterguy21
I'm pleased with this addition. The S&S version seems like a big improvement on the Intamin version. I think this is a great addition for the park and I really hope to make it down there to experience it in the next few years.
scbt
Based on the TPR video from earlier this year, I have absolutely no doubt that this will be an incredible ride. It certainly looks like an improvement over the Intamin rides which seem to be more focused on the drops while this is focused on flippy airtime hills. SharkTums
Has anyone heard what the height restriction for this will be? I'm curious because KT helped some of the S&S Engineers see how smaller kids fit in the restraints when we rode the prototype! She loved the ride! stretchsje
After examining the video, it looks like this will be the location of the track. I marked it with a yellow line. Six Flags is going to have quite a lot of unused land in that area if BT:R is the only 2015 attraction. The lift is on the north side near Poltergeist and the pedestrian bridge over Motorama. Of course, that bridge needn't be there anymore since Motorama is going away, unless the new ride's queue will be going underneath it. As I said before, it looks like a waste of some nice preexisting landscaping, so I hope there's more to come. As you can see, the buildings where we first saw the "Urban Renewal" signs needn't be touched, and that area around the restrooms and hustler will probably still be available as scare zones in October. TIMtationX
^ It would be cool if the bridge stays, and that's where the queue started. I can see a Batman Symbol on the side of the bridge, as you walk under it.

I was just simply confused that there is no Gotham City re-theme after all of the hints that lead toward that. It's very hard to detect emotion through text, so please try to give someone the benefit of the doubt when they say "What's with no Gotham City re-theme after all of the teasing" and not jump to conclusions that they were complaining. Anyways, I think this looks great! I'm excited that S&S has sold their first one of these, because I know they have been trying to sell them for a long while. can't wait for 2015! djboss302
This looks like an awesome ride so I don't get why people are complaining. I guess it's just a matter of opinion at the end of the day. Anyway, anyone think Six Flags will start cloning these things left and right?
glouthan
^Maybe, they have a relatively small footprint, and are fairly cheap, so the answer would most likely be yes. (and that might not be a bad thing).
coasterkid124
Anyway, anyone think Six Flags will start cloning these things left and right? If it's successful, yes. I originally thought a few years ago that ZacSpins would be the next Boomerangs, but there were a lot of issues that plagued the ride. If this ride can have a higher capacity, and get higher reviews, then I would think so.

SFSTLMO
I think that I like this ride, but if Six Flags treats this like Green Lantern at SFMM, then it will turn into a winged version of Green Lantern.
StuckInSD
Re-evaluating the announcement, I'm a little surprised that this is the only ride confirmed, why with all the room they'll have once Rockville is cleaned up for the Gotham makeover. Maybe next year they'll announce a super looper or a Battle for Metropolis clone? Just seems odd with all the space they'll have. But hey, at least it's a roller coaster! And a new variant at that! Also, will be interesting to see if a fat train can push the number of flips up a smidge...

We also have yet to see any of the small Premier Shuttle Coasters (that's what I'm calling them) come to any other Six Flags park. I would have loved to have seen them around the chain as well. Hopefully we see S&S Free Spins go everywhere like what we are seeing with Premier Shuttles lately, even if it's not in Six Flags. They look like amazing rides! jrkstl
If this flips as much as it does in the animation, it'll be like a Zipper on a track. Me likey - a LOT. Really need to get back to SFFT!
