The direction the lift hill points and with the lights on at night, it looks alot taller than SKC even though there is not that much of a height difference.

ArizonaGuy Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 I was watching the video again an noticed from the top of the lift........Is it me or did they lay white rock around the coaster on top of the quarry wall??? It looks like they laid some cover up rock in a "u" shape from the barrel roll all the way around to where the train flys off the side of the quarry wall. Looks nice around the area nontheless. I can't wait for my next visit.

I have alot of great memories of the original Rattler so I can't wait to ride it again and create more memories now that it's the Iron Rattler.... plus it's considered another credit and I don't have that many so I kinda need it. I like how they left the lights on in the tunnel, it really shows how tight it is. I never knew it was that compact. Lets just hope they keep them on! I think they said they would in a video but nothing is for certain.

Some people are thinking it'll be Saturday the 18th but previous recent interviews have stated Memorial Day Weekend. Anyone know different?
angrynerdjosh Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 I was under the impression that 5/15 was the media event and 5/17 was GP. then again I don't know if they are open 5/17 but I know they are 5/24. That's when I'm making my trip to San Antonio. It needs to open the week before so its not as insanely busy the Friday I go.

Brassinthegrass Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Dont take this as me not liking this ride, I hope to get the chance next year to get down and ride it... but, I wish they switched the zero G roll and the air time hill, I feel like a zero G roll into that tight tunnel would have been a lot more exciting than what is there now... Still a great ride though!
