kidcoaster 2 Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Has there ever been a enclosed tunnel on a B&M invert before? Maybe they could dig the trench, enclose it with a tunnel and then add some lighting and fog to it. Oz Iris has a little tunnel.
MayTheGForceBeWithYou Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 In addition to those listed, Black Mamba at Phantasialand also plays around with terrain and tunnels a bit.
DBru Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 I feel safe saying that if we're hoping for underground tunnels or well-themed trenches or other features in the middle of the course, we're setting ourselves up for disappointment. At the absolute most, I don't expect to see anything more than what was in the concept art.
gerstlaueringvar Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 ^Agree. The concept art already looks great, anything else is a bonus that will surprise us. I'm just hoping that KI will turn the fog effect on all the time.
firewalk13 Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 More track and supports are going up! https://www.visitkingsisland.com/online-fun/webcams

Diamondbacker27 Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Can someone post a screenshot? School computers block EVERYTHING!
Diamondbacker27 Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 The park looks wonderful! Thanks for the picture!
PVA62 Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Wasn't expecting to see any more track put up until after New Years. Love that drop into the valley!
Diamondbacker27 Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Wasn't expecting to see any more track put up until after New Years. Love that drop into the valley! Why? The track is supposed to be completed by the end of Jan. Even though that isn't very likely. They say there on schedule. They haven't added like any track in almost 2 months!!

I can't see why they wouldn't meet that... or at least be close. Think about how fast what is already up went up. Also, two months? I think its been more like 4 weeks to a month. But looking great! Parks in the snow are always quite a site!

Diamondbacker27 Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Not about Banshee, but isn't Drop Tower getting down to its last operating years? I mean it will be 20 in 4 years! I think a S&S triple launch tower would look sleek in its place * WOW. That means I will be 20 in 4 years!!!
coasterbill Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Not about Banshee, but isn't Drop Tower getting down to its last operating years? Based on what? By the way if they ever replace an Intamin Gyro Drop with one of those mediocre S&S towers I'm never going back to that park. lol
prozach626 Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 WOW. That means I will be 20 in 4 years!!! Crying about being 20? Really?

That means I will be 20 in 4 years!!! Seriously! You're already past your prime. You will have 9 toes in tha grave by 20. By 22 you should be begging death to take you. Guy "Ah Death! Sweet sweet Death!" Koepp
pyrocoasterkid Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Proof of the excavation being done on the two previously (too?) low spots. This is the exit of the lift-loop: Originally from the KI website. So I wonder if this was a mistake by B&M or the crew/company that did the footings and in turn moved the dirt back around after they had completed their job?

DBru Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 That drop out of the zero-g looks nothing short of incredible. I just hope the park plants some trees back there in SOB's old plot. It would be a lot more fun--especially at night--to dive into a wooded area rather than just a wide-open field. Just 4 months to go!
