coasterfreak101 Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Kind of unhappy about the shaping they went with for the roll - it's not an old-school whipping roll, it's more of a constant rotation almost like a giant corkscrew straightened out.
Vonni Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Wow that element is up a lot higher than I imagined! Looks great! I can see now how it reaches its top speed after this point.
cfc Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Although I think Goliath will be the highlight of the Mini New Hotness Trip, I am looking forward to Banshee. The layout is intriguing, and I like the choice of theme.
cmullin Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 The loop looks like there could be some nice g's. It seems a fair bit shorter than the dive loop, so there will hopefully be decent speed heading into it.
PVA62 Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 A smaller crane is going up for Banshee. Anyone know if they will keep the original crane and use the two to speed things up, or send it off since the high construction is now over?
cfc Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 ^Maybe the big crane will stay to keep the little crane company.
supertrooper Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 This is one of the most fluid coasters I've ever seen. It looks like really elegant cursive penmanship.
PKI Jizzman Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Check out how it looks from outside the park. Mmmm finally a zero G near me! Look how small that loop is! © ohiocolts picture
christianscoasters Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 ^From that picture, it looks like the zero-g is more "snappy" compared to the webcam view. I like it!
Vonni Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 ^^ I love that image! That has to be my favorite pic of Banshee so far! I cant wait to experience it!
vacoaster09 Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Do Invertigo, Bashee, and Delirium all have the same color supports? From that most recent pic posted I couldn't make out the supports that belong to each ride.
rcjp Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 I know that it's not a big thing, more of a curiosity, but has anyone noticed that nearly all B&M immelmanns/dive loops are not fully vertical? They have a certain angle to it. Anyway, looking really good even though I like the look of their older snappy zero gs better.
i<3coasters Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Wow this thing is really taking shape quickly. Can't wait to see it running (and take a few laps next summer on the Mini New Hotness tour)! Really excited to see the new B&M invert trains arrive in the next few months though.
SFOGdude25 Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 I know that it's not a big thing, more of a curiosity, but has anyone noticed that nearly all B&M immelmanns/dive loops are not fully vertical? They have a certain angle to it. Anyway, looking really good even though I like the look of their older snappy zero gs better. The angle adds some style, you know what I'm sayin? Even if the zero-g roll won't be quick and snappy, I'm still hoping for a fair amount of airtime there. After all, it will do a pretty sizable drop into the valley and pick up some awesome speed!
2012jarrett Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Check out how it looks from outside the park. Mmmm finally a zero G near me! Look how small that loop is! That view is phenomenal! I wonder if the top of the batwing will be visible from there. It's still beautiful without though! I can't wait to see the station. It looks like GateKeeper's with the high ceilings but well-themed.
Vonni Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 I wonder if they have started on the Batwing yet. I cant see the Webcams on my Computer.
cfc Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 ^Just look for this. Then you'll know that work on the batwing has begun.
B&MBoy1982 Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 I wonder if they have started on the Batwing yet. I cant see the Webcams on my Computer. No, they have not. The track remains the same as the last photo posted by Zack.
Vonni Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 ^ Thanks for letting me know. I'm kind of surprised they have not moved to that point yet.
Blue Turbo Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 ^Yesterday they did mostly prep work and getting the rest of the zero-g supports assembled
TheZachMan28 Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 If you look to the very right, you can see they are starting to put down supports for the batwing
