sfmmFREAK
Was anyone at the mountain on Sat, if so how were the crowds? I was thinking about going on Sunday. i was. the crowds where outrageous. i got there at 3:00pm and had to park in the back of the dirt parking lot. we where only able to get in 3 attractions (backwards colossus, carnage E hall, and blood falls) before closing time . the line for scream was out to Carnage E Hall. the line for Carnage was out to Gothom. the line for batman was all the way to the entrence. i will have the pics up soon. it was so busy, i could not even make it to the left side of the park! so my pics will pretty much be a fright fest TR. colossus
man it had to be one of the most crowded days in sfmm history.i opened on saterday 9.00 to 5.45. and i saw screams line from colossus panel and it was at the coke cool zone it was like 3 hours.after i worked i went to the park a nd went into gotham and there was no room to walk at all if someone threw a punch there could have been a riot.but i got threw the crowd and got on batman no wait lol im an employee there is no wait for employes.batmans line was actualy around 3 and a half hours long.then i saw the hypnotist the funnist thing i have ever seen in my life.rode blood falls then the asylum and goliath.then i went back to colossus backwards for the last ride of the night.a bad night to ba a guest but for a person with exit clerance to almost everything it was great. 4718
i got some awesome news. i found out on screamscape that nothing will be removed. this ride will have alot of corkscrews. it is supposed to twist around skytower (wich will open back up next year) and go around reveloution. i live in missouri but i went to sfmm in july i loved it. i hope to go back and ride this new flyer they are getting. I mentioned something close to that like 20 pages ago, cool to hear the people I was talking to actually were right.
djrappa
See is it just me or do others think that if the GP is waiting 3 hours for a ride but employees off duty can just walk straight on really sums up what is wrong with SFMM??
arrowfanman
^I really dont think that sums up SFMMs problems. Honestly, I have more problems with people faking handycaps to avoid lines, than the employees riding. That should be allowed, given the employee rides as a single rider. ...but perhaps I am speaking from the view of someone who has abused the system, myself (I now have 2 friends that are leads!). The problem with SFMM employees is seen in their lack of supervision. In my expirence, I find the only difference between empoyees and their leads, is about 6 months expirence, and I believe about 25 cents pay. The leads express no more determination to provide a pleasant guest expirence, than the normal ops. I cant even speak for the supervisors, either. ZipityDoDog
^I would tend to agree with the handicap/faking handicap people being able to use the exit as an entrance. Don't get me wrong I have a friend that is confined to a wheelchair, but he also agrees that the person and only the person in the wheelchair should use the exit. All others in the party should use the queue and when they reach the boarding station all should then get on. Not 11 people traveling with the one person in the wheelchair getting on when they did not even have to wait for a single train to be dispatched. I wish the rest of the employees would give a flip about their job, I know I do, and I try to do as much as possible for guests. I guess you could blame the lack of enthusiasm on very little incentives to do the job the best you can, but even that's lame. If you take a job, you should do your best no matter what, that's why they're paying you.
arrowfanman
^ Yea, and im not saying that everybody is like that! But more than few are. EVERY time I go, theres someone on those food push-carts on their cell phone (and Ive been going once a week lately). EVERY time I go, I see the person at the roller coaster control panel talking to the op at the end of the station, via phone (and its not a professional conversation!). Most of the workers are literally look as if they are forced to come to work, and only smile when they flirt with each other in front of the guest. Basically, the workers are teenagers (You, obviously being exempt from that! ...and your brother, cuz he's cool) ...thats the problem. Lol. ncf
This is how the colors will look like on it
arrowfanman
^For one, those colors are way less vibrant and ugly. For two, I've said it before, and I'll say it again, those colors by themselves aren't that bad...its just, those colors, in that location just wont look good. Think about it. You walk into the gates. The colors are relitively calm (dull). A mellow brick red, a brown, a pale green, a soft tan. You turn right, and see a milky white fountain, in a light blue lake, with a brown bridge, light green trees, and then you see a sun-bright orange, yellow, and red piercing the tranquility. Point being...theres more to a good color scheme, than how the colors look on the track. ^you guys are over reacting i work at six flags because i love roller coasters any person with common sense knows if you work any where you get special insentives i dont get medicare or a raise.i get free tickets and not have to wait inline.i treat guest with all the respect in the world but after i take off my uniform and go into the park im considered a guest too.and news flash were not the only park that does it either so its not just a SFMM thing. Dude. You care about those incentives, because you are a coaster enthusiast. I recently took my friend to SFMM, because, even though he works there, he hadn't been in the park, riding the rides as a guest for about 5-6 years. Those aren't real incentives to some people. Its like me working in a factory that produces hip-hop CD's. Getting to keep some CDs may be an incentive to do a good job, but it doesn't matter to me...I dont care for hip-hop! ...not to mention, Colossus is one of the better ran rides (same with Revolution, Batman, Goldrusher and Ninja [Hi Ya!]...those are my top 5 ride crews.) (besides, the only time i bet we'll see it is when it crosses over the path from viper to deja vu) i think it will be fine. And the picture the guy posted above ARE duller then they are NOW, but look at Goliath, those supports began practically blue! and i thought the ninja people were just INSANELY bored that day, i had no idea they did it all the time. that would get old real quick i'd bet.
