CHILLERLC1 Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 This morning I've seen the tag "Burlington Coat Factory" not "Donkies" on this site. I'm impressed because I'm near where the company is based and where the original store is. I'm not seeing things and local address software is not being used I suppose. I don't shop there. I prefer Kohl's. Thanks ADMIN EDIT: moved to Random Forum - Larry
All Clear Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Yes. This is indeed a tremendous leap of courage for TPR. Robbie "Erasure was more of a threat to humanity" Crockett
TheRapidsNerd Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 (Looks up the page near banner, ponders and rubs chin) Quay?
Sticky Nicky Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 No one seemed to mind when it was Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, and KidTums. It will change back at some point. Robb and Elisa just like to have a little fun once and a while.
TheRapidsNerd Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Remember when it was "... & Guy T Koepp" for What's in a Brain? There's probably a good story behind this one, much like the others.
RIP Psyclone Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 ^Yes, I do remember that one! You beat me to it!
Goliath513 Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Last summer it was "and Bouncy Bouncy" for a while.
Jhcbiinoc Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 After Friday night, I was expecting to see it say, "Theme Parks, Roller Coasters & Martha Stewart"
Groteslurf Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Just noticed that we are only 15 miles from the Burlington Coat Factory. We'll drive to the mall over there in a few moments. If we see the BCF, I'll try to find out what is going on over there
BigThunderMtn Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 I'm only 45 minutes from a Burlington Coat Factory, and shopped there once, but saw nothing harkening back to Burlington nor any mention of a factory. There were coats though, and affordably priced at that.
spaceace12 Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 I am only 5 minutes from the one, and my sister worked at one for about 6 months. They treated her horribly.
coastakid Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 I love Burlington Coat Factory. They have really nice shirts for cheap prices -Jon
JimBeach Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 BCF s a great place. Although I think you must say, just like they do in their ads, "not associated with Burlington Industries".
CoasterDude211 Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 My Burlington Coat Factory is pretty janky. I usually walk over there and look around when I'm waiting for a table at a nearby restaurant. Maybe it's just because it's in Alabama...
Homer Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 Burlington Coat Factory, if you ask me, a really ghetto place to shop for clothes. Then again, the store has the best prices for suits.
BarryH Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 Now who doesn't love Burlington Coat Factory? Burlington Coat Factory isn't ghetto. Now Bealls Outlets is something different. Whenever I go there, it smells like Vicks Vapor Rub.
disneygurlz2s Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 It's these burning questions and topical banter that I missed over the past several months as I tried to figure my life out (in case anyone cares, I still haven't....). I am waiting anxiously for TPR to reveal the significance behind the new "catchphrase". Shari
ebl Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 Yeah, Burlington Coat Factory is about as random as you could get (well, maybe "Pep Boys" is right up there, too). But definitely funny. Eric
christianscoasters Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 I live five blocks from a BCF!!! Also a Toys R' Us, Barnes & Noble, and also a mall
slither37 Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 I have shopped at a BCF before, return policy is different than most stores.
CoasterDude211 Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 I agree with all of you! I'm actually a huge Burlington Coat Factory enthusiast, unlike you all who are coaster enthusiasts. I've never been on a roller coaster in my life but have been to over 75 BCF stores! I just Googled "Burlington Coat Factory message boards" and this came up. I was very excited to finally find one!
ebl Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 ^ BCF credits, huh? But can you tell me how many of those stores had multiple floors connected by escalators? Eric "The one in Ventura does" L.
rgb60 Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 I bought my first overcoat from their outlet in Reading close to 20 years ago. I think it was even American made. Now that's what we need on this site-- factory outlet credit whores.
